I have stayed at Bellagio roughly 20 different times and it is my "go to" hotel in Vegas. I like the unpretentious luxury, the fountain view rooms are amazing (I love the fountains) and its location on the Strip is excellent. I am sorry you had a bad experience but not sure why you toughed it out in that room that should have been smoking free. I would have asked to change rooms straight away.
I have stayed at the Bellagio several times and would have asked to be moved. If they had refused, then that would have been an issue. They need to know about the room issue. I have had bad rooms in different hotels and they made it right for me. I had a room one time that seem to be catching restaurant fumes and smelled like the grill cooking hamburgers. Not the worst smell, but different.
I swear in August I stayed in this same exact room or the one above or below depending on floor you were on! Didn't have any smoke smells, but definitely the huge gap under the door (so annoying) and loud cleaning people in the hallway. Same view, so I'm pretty sure it's the one. I was able to get a humidifier since it was SO hot and dry and my allergies were kicking my behind. So sorry you had the smoke smell and they really should have moved you - or they should make it up to you as soon as they can. There is no excuse for making someone sleep in a smokey room!!
The Bellagio definitely needs to do something about the way the doors are set on the rooms. To their defense, I didn’t mention the issues. Instead I decided to take the property off my list of places to stay. From my experience I decided I don’t like their policy regarding smoking in the rooms. Are there other properties that you like in Vegas?
Maybe u just got a bad room. I would possibly stay there again, you never know might surprise you. Also i have a weird theory about the Stay well room, maybe the reaosm why it smelled of smoke was the person(s) beofew you thought they coukd smoke in it because of the air purifier. I mean kind of makes sense.
Ashley - life’s too short to stay at places I don’t enjoy especially with better options available. In the video, I linked to my favorite where the air is clear like a breezy day. There is even one I like that has a no smoking policy in the hotel and casino. I'm all for the fresher air options! 🌬️
I’m sure the hotel would have comped your stay or put you in a different room but I guess you never even called the front desk. To say never stay at the hotel again over an issue that is not common and they would have fixed is a bit ridiculous. The only way the room would have smelled like an ash tray is that someone smoked in the room right before you stayed. I have a hard time believing that was the case.
You can’t be sure what the hotel would have done. You’re just assuming. We will not book the Bellagio again as we don’t need to give any hotel a second chance to make a first impression. Whether you believe the room smelled of cigarettes doesn’t matter.
The smoke wasn’t originating from the room. It was originating from outside of the room somewhere so changing rooms wouldn’t have necessarily helped. I’m sure it was somewhere close to mine. Either way, I won’t stay there again.
I stayed at Park MGM and enjoyed the stay. I chose it because it was smoke free. I also stayed at Resorts World which is smoke free too. I had great stays at those properties. Thanks for the recommendation and for watching!
🤣😂 - The room and the two floors dedicated to “Stay Well” features is marketed as ones that provide clean air and water quality. That’s what I paid for. However I did not get that. I’ll just take my business elsewhere. 🙂
@@TravelCheckIns Doesn't answer her question. You complained to us yet did nothing when yall were there. You can't expect everything to be perfect 100% where you are. there are no Bellagio staff there 100% of the time to monitor your comfort and 100% guarantee it being perfect for you, no matter how great the hotel has a rep for. That IS on YOU.
We did do something while we were there, it’s just not what you would have done. We didn’t enjoy the experience and decided not to go back. That’s the thing with our page, we share our authentic experiences. When they are good we tell our community and when they aren’t we share that too. The room experience was trash and we don’t have to report that to the front desk. We can just decide to spend our money elsewhere.
No hate but I always said if someone complains about The Bellagio it means Vegas is not for them . Smoke smell ? You call the front desk they would’ve moved you to another room right away. They have one the best customer service. Noise ? Well you’re in Vegas not in Palms springs what do you expect? to only hear the birds chirping? I ve stayed many times at this hotel and I think it’s the one with the Cosmo and Wynn that you can’t complain about anything.
I actually checked the filter when I stayed in Bellagio stay well room in August and it was perfectly clean. Aria and Vdara on the other hand had dirty filters when I stayed there on more than one occasion. So across the board, anyone in a stay well room should definitely check both the main wall and the Special filters to make sure they are not full. We pay extra because we need those filters to work. 🤧
Stayed at the Bellagio and had a stag party in the opposite rooms. Understand it’s Vegas but couldn’t get any decent sleep. Went to the front desk and explained the situation to them. The gentleman on the front desk said to me “ your not staying in the Hard rock hotel Sir your staying in the Bellagio we will change your room for you “ Then he gave me a $100 credit to go and eat in the Bellagio cafe while he sorted a different room out. I was blown away with the service !! 😎😎😎
Had a similar experience. A group doing a reunion had 4 rooms near us. They were obnoxious to say the least. Went to the front desk. They moved us and upgraded our room. $100 resort credit and sent the valet service to move our stuff. They called us in our new room to make certain everything was ok. Just have to let them know. Bellagio has amazing customer service.
Who is sleep at 12am on the Vegas strip. At what point did u smell smoke? A simple call would have got u a new room. And probably some thing complementary
We chose this room type for the air filtration and it didn’t clear the smell of cigarettes. Having experienced the system, I wouldn’t define it as “excellent”.
@@TravelCheckIns you probably went at the right time. I work in vegas and it all depends on. There’s parties of all sorts. From bachelorette parties to birthdays. Middle of the week is your best bet, but the weekends it all depends. Except for summers.
Okay. We stayed the weekend after super bowl weekend. We checked into Crockfords the day after the Super Bowl, the Bellagio mid week and Park MGM the end of the week. We wanted to get a feel for the different hotels since it was our first time in Vegas. We even stayed a night at the Luxor. I appreciate the feedback as it will help with planning our next trip. If you have any additional tips/advice for “new” Vegas traveler’s just let us know. 🙂

We really didn’t know what to expect from the rooms. The reviews varied a lot.
My Wife and I ❤ The Bellagio . Never had a bad experience yet ... we won $5,000... we stay in the Penthouse .
Your experience sounds wonderful! This was my first time staying and I’m in no hurry to book there again.

@@TravelCheckIns indeed! My personal favorite places to stay are Aria, Vdara and Nomad for MGM properties, Wynn and Venetian.

I thought it was a lovely hotel. Agree with others, ask for another room. When I stayed there, the room smelled fresh. No smell of smoke.

Park MGM is smoke free. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the info on that Hotel. At least it will let me know which Hotel not to stay in while in Las Vegas when I’m there next.

I say, “if someone complains about The Bellagio it means The Bellagio is not for them”. Crockfords Resorts World is 10X’s better than The Bellagio.
They never change the filter.
Every time i stay at the staywell rooms, the filters are always dirty, so i don't turn them ON.
That’s good to know. I read a recent review from a travel blogger the other day and they said the same thing.

It’s possible you are correct. I’ll keep that in mind in the future.
I would be curious what you think of Wynn. I think you’ll like it.
We’re considering staying at the Wynn. Let us know your thoughts on it!
The "ambient light" on the air filtration unit is necessary for killing bacteria and viruses. It's an ultraviolet light. That's an excellent system.
We chose this room type for the air filtration and it didn’t clear the smell of cigarettes. Having experienced the system, I wouldn’t define it as “excellent”.
It’s vegas. You’re going to hear noise in a party city
Not true. It all depends where you book. Crocksford and Park MGM are quiet.

Too high end for me don’t like the vibe same with Wynn and encore
I think we’ll try the Wynn next. So far Crockfords is our favorite.
I don’t know if Bellagio is the same vibe as Wynn/Encore. It’s more of a Disney World/showy vibe to me.
I believe it
🙂
Next time stay at the Venetian.
I just booked the Palazzo at the Venetian. I read a lot of reviews and went with the Venetian at a friend’s recommendation. Thanks for watching!
@@TravelCheckIns be sure to visit the hidden Venezia pool on the 10th floor.
I will. Thanks for the tip!
