Final round of 2018 PGA at Bellerive was incredible. If his driver or putter would've cooperated even a tiny smidge, he would've won. Never seen anyone play like that - he hit every shot like it was life or death. That type of intensity the whole round. The energy of him with crowds there was just electric. Every fan in St.Louis that day was pulling for Tiger.

That entire final round at Bellerive is nothing short of unbelievable. Unforgiving conditions, couldn’t get off the tee box, but it didn’t matter, he was seemingly unstoppable
Impressive to watch Tiger on video. However, I was really impressed to watch him hit a perfect 3W to the green on a par 5, standing relatively close to him with no one around (as a marshal). That sound of his fluid swing and contact is amazing.

The way Tiger can shape shots I’ve always thought he was the absolute best. The imagination to see a shot and then the physical ability to make it real.
wonderful Tiger, how great and exciting to watch him play golf. I enjoy each artistic stroke like a brush in Picazo's best work. hugs and admiration from Bogotá in Colombia.
My great grand uncle landed in a coma from getting a golf ball in the head somewhere in Florida in the early 80's, and died later in hospital, and that ball probably had half the speed of the one Tiger binked there. Gotta be careful out there for sure.. I was born in Norway in 1990, so I never knew him, but it's always been in the back of my head whenever I'm on a golf course, no pun intented..

I want to see how good his kid is going to do as he gets older. If the father/son tournaments have been any indication on Charlies' abilities it will be fun to watch!
Charlie Has all the tools and to hit the ball that well at 12 is truly something special. Took my dad to St. Louis to watch our boy. Caught the Saturday round. Friday got rained out on #9. So we were treated to watch him play 27 holes that day in the blistering heat. We stayed cool all day with shade trees and cold beer. And marveled at the shot selection Tiger executes over that ball! Was pulling for him so badly on Sunday from the hotel room!
I still want to see this 280 yard 3 wood up hill into a cross wind he hit at the rider cup one year. Tiger was on a comeback and hadn't played close to his best yet, but he hit a high cut into the wind, where it had to cut into the wind plus land on the fringe to stop. He did both, and the hole location was just off the left edge of the fringe. One of the hardest shots I've ever seen attempted and Tiger put it on the money.
jack arnie tom watson seve ballesteros and 50 others used to do that and more in the most competive era ever, with real persimmon woods rigid steel shafts eldrick played virtually no one 97-present with graphite shafts titanium driver heads, jack would've won 40 majors in this weakass era, while woods would get destroyed by 100 players in the late 60's and entire 70's
@@jeffreygreer There's no way. Look at Tigers short game and putting. There's no one who touches it in any era. Then look at his recovery game and shot making. If you took one year of Tigers career, and showed the great recovery shots he hit, it would be better than any other golfer over a career. He also hits Irons clutch. I don't think Jack in his prime could stare down Tiger in his prime. Jack doesn't hit as good of Irons as Tiger does when it's clutch time. Tiger comes out ahead for me. Who cares if they're playing with wooden clubs or anything else. Tiger can bounce a ball in the air and then hit it straight out of the air if he wants. He has the best hand-eye coordination and would likely benefit if the clubs were less forgiving. He's the only player on tour who even uses blades still (which is the very least forgiving of all irons). Also Tiger is much stronger than Jack so what he can do out of the rough would dominate Jack.
Can't recall the year, I don't follow golf much. I remember watching Tiger's first appearance at St Andrews with David Duval. I watched a lot of the greats (Nickolas and Watson et al) play St Andrews and wondered how the "newer" kids would perform. Woods ate up the course. Duval (who was doing really well that year) was chewed up and spit out. It was an amazing match to view.
I can't recall exactly but i believe there was a shot whereby he was playing against Billy Mayfair and he was in ankle high grass and he smashed a pitching wedge out of it about 175yds and literally almost pulled his arms out of his shoulders when he hit it. amazing
Watch the old Masters broadcasts from the 80's and 90's. That was a much simpler time. Persimmon woods, small forged irons. No screaming crowds yelling Get in the Hole on every shot..
Dude, the shots where there is people 5 ft to his left and 5 ft to his right for about 20 to 30 ft in front of his shot are insane to watch. Those people are crazy to stand in the path of a shot like that.
He was so close at the PGA. Would have been dope to win that. Then win the masters at the top of the year. Still amazing regardless. Hope we see him out there more going into the new year.

Nicklaus is the best ever, Tiger had the best decade from 1997 to 2008 he won 14 of his 15 majors. Jack won majors for 26 years and was competitive finishing second 19 times. Sorry, tiger lovers, but you obviously never saw Jack Nicklaus in his prime. Nicklaus was and always will be better than tiger. Jack pulled off Unbelievable shots in his prime too. The great Bobby Jones, set of jack Nicklaus during the 1965 masters “ he plays a game of which I am not familiar with”.
The way he just addresses the ball is pure art. Also the way the club glides into his hands having the best finger to palm ratio, it really seems as if he was born to do this.
You could make a similar video of astonishing highlights of Nicklaus, and several others. Jack has 18 Major tournament wins, but overlooked is that he finished second 19 times, third 9 times, against the likes of Player, Palmer, Trevino, Watson, Casper, Snead, etc. Jack could drive as far with lesser equipment, and short game and putt w/ the very best. He’s lived an honorable life and deserves more recognition. Tiger’s life consists of deception, adultery, privilege, temper tantrums on the course, immense monetary gain from endorsements, and caught driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs several times, yet didn’t lose his license. Non celebrities don’t enjoy that concession. He was most recently speeding 85 in a 45 mph residential zone, incredibly dangerous to others. Strangely, he was not even substance- tested at the time, something that is ALWYS done in significant one-vehicle accidents, especially, with his history. He’s a supremely privileged athlete with global endorsements, who’s chased Jack since childhood. Nicklaus always said, that “if I knew Tiger was coming I’d have tried harder.” That said, Jack’s 18-19-9 finishes is unarguable.Tiger was a great player, but a privileged one who benefitted from his father starting him in toddlerhood, and his ancestral backgrounds worked perpetually by media and sponsors. He’s lucky to have not injured anyone during his MV experiences, otherwise he’d be in prison rather than heading to Augusta. A very lucky man…
Well put. Jack also was a super family man who would fly cross country between rounds to attend a son’s football game. To this day he still supports the fine work his wife Barbara is doing. A scholar, a gentleman, and a class act. A true American Treasure.
This was about his role in GOLF !!!! Not his personal LIFE had Tiger walked on water in his personal life you'd be the one yelling " See, I knew he couldn't swim!!!! "

Sorry. Can't be calling him the best ever based on selected shots. If he wins four more majors, then he can be hailed as such. Until then, Nicklaus deserves the title. He's earned it.
Also hard to make the argument for best ever when the compilation shows him making bogeys for some reason. Out of all the incredible holes of golf Tiger has played in majors, why show that? Tiger is the best of his generation, second best in terms of majors, show the good shit right?
Tiger is tied for most wins All- Time with 82. He spent 683 weeks at No.#1 in the world. Made 142 consecutive cuts. 199 top 10 finishes. 108 world wide victories. 20 career holes in one. 11 PGA Tour Player of the Year awards. 8 wins at The Arnold Palmer Invitational. 8 wins at The WGC- Bridgestone Invitational. He won 6 consecutive times in 2000. He won 4 majors in a row in 2000-2001. Lowest PGA Scoring Average- 68.17 in 2000. And he had the largest margin of victory in a major, 15 strokes 2000 US Open. That's more than just some "selected shots", but if you factor in those selected shots, and there are dozens of them over many years, the argument can be made that he's the best to ever tee it up. Tiger had all the physical tools which may qualify him as the greatest shot shaper of all time. However, he also had other tools with which to work with that Jack never did. Perhaps more than any other sport, golf was changed more by the advancement of equipment technology than any human physical developments from woods to irons to balls and possibly putters as well. Nicklaus is the best ever, Tiger had the best decade from 1997 to 2008 he won 14 of his 15 majors. Jack won majors for 26 years and was competitive finishing second 19 times. Tiger basically dropped off the map in majors for 11 years after he got caught cheating on his wife. You give Tiger old Persimmon woods with the sweet spot the size of a nut, steel shaft irons, one standard wedge, without square grooves, and MacGregor balls and let's see the terrific shots he hits. Jack drove the ball much straighter than Tiger, who can't keep the ball in the fairway with a sweet spot the size of the Grand Canyon. Jack drove the ball 300 yards straight with the old equipment. Tiger is great but Jack is the best.
But tiger has the better looking white woman..Jack's ain't shit

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When Tiger is on his game there's no one in history that's can beat him.
True. The greatest golfer ever. If he wasn't sidelined by injuries and addictions (and not have to use Nike driver) who knows how many Majors hewould have won. But regardless. Him at his peak is the best at anyone else's.
I’ve been lucky to be able to watch and follow golf since 83’. Tiger is the best in my opinion.

I'm thinking I've watched this video at least 6 times. Same goes with every other Tiger highlight video lol, at least 6 times.

Best ever was from the bunker on #18 at the Canadian Open at Glen Abbey. Par 5, lying 1 in the bunker, 220 yards out, water in front of the green and he stiffs a 6 iron just over the pin, makes birdie & wins!. That shot cost the Glen Abbey people some change. The practice range is right beside the bunker, so many players would try the shot with range balls!

An absolute superb comment!
This was about his role in GOLF !!!! Not his personal LIFE had Tiger walked on water in his personal life you'd be the one yelling " See, I knew he couldn't swim!!!! "
@@marcushawthorne1020 The video doesn’t prove Tiger Woods was the greatest golfer ever. You can compose similar compilations for others.
He’s definitely in the conversation for number 2 or 3, though. Your ego is hurting because your HERO has shown himself to be an insincere, dishonest ass in other aspects of his life.
My earlier comment is a comprehensive summation, and quite accurate.
Tiger was definitely in the top 10 of golfers in his generation and top 40 of all time. Great player!
You could literally make a video like this for at least 50 players, but there’s no arguing that Tiger held court for 2 decades….
The difference is the consistency under pressure
5:20 I was greenside on the 15th at Bellerive - what a thrill when his ball hit the green. When he picked up his ball after his birdie it was obvious he was still fuming about his bogey on the 14th. He was golfing pissed…look out!
@@treypyle4565 Yeah, didn't get that footage either.
With all due respect to Jack.

0:18 seeing Tiger in shorts is so weird😭😂
Tiger had all the physical tools which may qualify him as the greatest shot shaper of all time.
However, he also had other tools with which to work with that Jack never did.
Perhaps more than any other sport, golf was changed more by the advancement of equipment technology than any human physical developments from woods to irons to balls and possibly
putters as well.
We'll never know what Tiger could or couldn't have done with Jack's sticks and vice versa.
So, the only fair way to compare Nicklaus and Woods simply isn't possible.
It's true that Tiger and Jack had different equipment, but they both had the same as their competitors on any given day.
@@baker1271 the difference is thar everyone Tiger played against had top of the line equipment & everyone flew in comfort to events.
Back in Jack's day, only the top 20% of guys were flying around the country to every big event and everyone didn't have access or the money to afford the best coaches & technology.
