@@x24gamingteam66 Objective reasons - cheaper to buy, cheaper on fuel, cheaper to insure, easier to handle, easier to catch if it's starting to drop, easier to pick up if it does drop. Subjectively - more fun and satisfying to ride because you get to really crank them open and get closer to the limit, rather than having some power you never use.

I jumped from cb650r 2020 to cb500x 2022. Holly cow, what amazing bike it is! No regrets of switching bikes! It's great fuel saving (3L of petrol) all-round bike! Since we have extremely big fines here now (Poland), Im really happy that it switched. I never imagined that 500cc bike is going that much fun. This Honda brings everything what motorcycle feel is. It's totally NOT a bike for just newbies. It just open Your mind to adventure with burgling and bang sounds.. I really love it sound, it's fucking loud bike! Guys drop Your man behaves and try that bike! Well made bike!

I've just rode today my CB500X 2022 from dealership to my home and I agree, I've switched from 250cc naked bike, but this Honda is just amazing and that sound even with Euro5 is great. I have unlimited driving license but I don't mind to ride A2 license bikes like this. Plus of course is fuel efficient. I'm glad I've chosen this over Yamaha Tracer 7.

@@marcelpursche5339 much better, the brakes have way more feel and bite but my biggest gripe was the old suspension. It was way too soft for my liking, especially for more sporty riding. The new forks are brilliant; stiff in de corners and the ride feels way more plush when riding on lower quality roads or bumps. It’s the upgrade it needed imo

Owner of a 22 CB500X here. Former owner of many very fast and sporty bikes in my past. This bike puts all of them to shame in every meaningful category to real riders. Fun, agile, torquey and flexible engine, great fuel mileage/ range, good wind protection and it looks great. People who say it's another boring Honda.... I have to disagree with both halves of my brain.

I love my 2017! But I will be changing to something else soon. Only really issues I have with it is that it is a cheaper bike so the stock suspension isn't that great and the 47HP and short gearing is not quite enough for me to do everything I want as a primary bike. I'd happily spend money on suspension upgrades if it had better power and gearing for higher speeds. Sustained 70+mph is not very fun but anything below 60mph the bike is fantastic. Great price and it is really agile and fun for what it is. I'd buy a bike with the size and feel of the 500x immediately if it had a bit more power (I use Givi hard side panniers as I ride it 6 days a week as primary transportation and it kills speed above 65mph) but unfortunately anything ADV is quite a bit bigger size wise and has spoked rims and 21" front wheel and loses the feel the 500x has. Wish another company would come out with something similar that has more power. I'd love to try out a 2022+ model (or NX500) for the brake and suspension upgrades and some engine tuning fixes.
For your note at ~5:50. I tend to ride the bike the same way. It doesn't sound or feel that great really revving it out and getting into the peak power range. I usually shift below 6000rpm when accelerating and stay between 3.5-5k a lot and use the torque more. I have a lot more fun with it that way.

So far I'm only about 1/6 of the way to 300 miles. But in my defense, the weather has been awful here lately, not suitable for riding. Really looking forward to nice, sunny Spring days here in Western Pennsylvania. Thanks for posting a great video!

hey thanks for the low-key video and beautiful country.
I'm kind of a new rider and have a couple questions for you (I'm getting a '22 500X in about a month):
About 30 times during this video you give a flick of your throttle wrist once or twice. I'm wondering what the reason for that is. Is it just the acoustics, because it definitely sounds nice. Do you think it works out the engine or any components a little bit quicker, though? Is there any reason to do it is what I guess I'm asking.
You're using a phone app for navigation. I've been hearing that the vibrations, even with the dampeners that quad lock and other mounts have, can do damage. And besides, if you get a phone call or whatever it seems like it's just a hassle. Have you ever considered a dedicated GPS router, like the ZumoXT2, for example. Yes it is 500 bucks US but I'm just wondering why as a serious rider why you haven't moved to something like that… Thanks

I love when your videos drop. Even if it's a bike that I don't care about I still watch. Would love to see you do a Moto Guzzi V7. I'm having a hard time deciding between that and a Street Twin as my next commuter bike. I'm leaning V7 mostly due to it being a 6 speed. I'll definitely be putting some highway miles on it.

I have never ridden the street twin but im a happy owner of Moto Guzzi V7 II who has ridden over 30 000 km al over Europe and i can only recommend it. You can do easy 4 to 500 km on a day, its also good for highway riding (of course its not a BMW GS), and you have enough power to be faster than most cars at normal speeds.

Hi Clayton! I've had a Street Twin for a year now. I commute frequently on it and I've done a couple of weekend trips. I've done 5000 km so far. I had a short experience with a friend's V7 III for a couple of days. To me they felt very different in ergonomics and character. The ST more planted and better performer, better brakes, amazing torque. However I can't compare to the new model with the 850 cc engine.
I have the medium sized OEM screen, which is enough to deflect air from the chest and have clear flow on the helmet, and OEM heated grips (neat design and toasty hot). The seat is on the hard side but roomy for two. The tank is just 12 liters but it's quite frugal for a 900 cc (3.8 L/100 km on average for legal speeds). I downsized from a big ADV, wanted something different, I was totally sure 5 minutes into the test ride. Just ask if you want to know anything else, but you won't go wrong with either, both are beauties. Cheers
