I love my 2017! But I will be changing to something else soon. Only really issues I have with it is that it is a cheaper bike so the stock suspension isn't that great and the 47HP and short gearing is not quite enough for me to do everything I want as a primary bike. I'd happily spend money on suspension upgrades if it had better power and gearing for higher speeds. Sustained 70+mph is not very fun but anything below 60mph the bike is fantastic. Great price and it is really agile and fun for what it is. I'd buy a bike with the size and feel of the 500x immediately if it had a bit more power (I use Givi hard side panniers as I ride it 6 days a week as primary transportation and it kills speed above 65mph) but unfortunately anything ADV is quite a bit bigger size wise and has spoked rims and 21" front wheel and loses the feel the 500x has. Wish another company would come out with something similar that has more power. I'd love to try out a 2022+ model (or NX500) for the brake and suspension upgrades and some engine tuning fixes. For your note at ~5:50. I tend to ride the bike the same way. It doesn't sound or feel that great really revving it out and getting into the peak power range. I usually shift below 6000rpm when accelerating and stay between 3.5-5k a lot and use the torque more. I have a lot more fun with it that way.
What a wonderful looking place to ride! And you took full advantage of it, from all appearances. I can't wait till my new 500X is broken in, then I can rev it out a bit. I have never ridden the street twin but im a happy owner of Moto Guzzi V7 II who has ridden over 30 000 km al over Europe and i can only recommend it. You can do easy 4 to 500 km on a day, its also good for highway riding (of course its not a BMW GS), and you have enough power to be faster than most cars at normal speeds.
i'd choose the street twin, or even better the speed twin, totally amazing machine even schaaf would be happy riding it. currently driving a cbf500(2005)
Hi Clayton! I've had a Street Twin for a year now. I commute frequently on it and I've done a couple of weekend trips. I've done 5000 km so far. I had a short experience with a friend's V7 III for a couple of days. To me they felt very different in ergonomics and character. The ST more planted and better performer, better brakes, amazing torque. However I can't compare to the new model with the 850 cc engine. I have the medium sized OEM screen, which is enough to deflect air from the chest and have clear flow on the helmet, and OEM heated grips (neat design and toasty hot). The seat is on the hard side but roomy for two. The tank is just 12 liters but it's quite frugal for a 900 cc (3.8 L/100 km on average for legal speeds). I downsized from a big ADV, wanted something different, I was totally sure 5 minutes into the test ride. Just ask if you want to know anything else, but you won't go wrong with either, both are beauties. Cheers
did Honda improve accelerator on-off effect? i mean, its smooth enought from closed to slightly open? i ask because that's the issues of my cb300r and my local Honda dealer didnt have any cb500 for a test ride

gut!
I love when your videos drop. Even if it's a bike that I don't care about I still watch. Would love to see you do a Moto Guzzi V7. I'm having a hard time deciding between that and a Street Twin as my next commuter bike. I'm leaning V7 mostly due to it being a 6 speed. I'll definitely be putting some highway miles on it.
I unfortunately can't help you since I haven't ridden those. But I'd probably go for the guzzi as well because its engine has more character
Cheers
Hey brother, how do you feel handling/cornering compared between cb500x and yam tracer 700? Would appreciate your opinion🤔
The Honda is quite a lot less agile
Entre la cb500x y la nc750 adt, cual preferiría para carretera, ciudad y el uso diario?
Hello, what exhaust you wear on this cb500x 2022

Ist das originale auspuff oder nachgerüstet?
When you are upshifting, you are not using the clutch?
Does it look like I'm using the clutch?
@@Schaaf No, thats why i asked. I've got mine a few weeks ago, did't know you can do that with it.
did Honda improve accelerator on-off effect? i mean, its smooth enought from closed to slightly open? i ask because that's the issues of my cb300r and my local Honda dealer didnt have any cb500 for a test ride
They rolled ecu update to smoothen it out on cb300r in india. Check ur country has it.
@@rv6569i sold my cb300r and got a nx500
@@rv6569 btw i bought nx500 in the meanwhile, little on-off actualy
How do you feel this bike ( and overall) vs Yamaha tracer 700? There are great bikes.
It's a lot slower and a bit less agile but way more stable and better suspension
@@Schaaf More stable because the cheap suspension in Yamaha? I tras Many people is upgrading this
