    6. I agree.
    And also to add
The lack of tween and teen entertainment is kinda sad tbh.
It's like it suddenly faded as years passed by .
Plus, I get that KPOP doesn't sing about getting grounded, prom, not really any of that.
But take songs like "Boys Like You" by ITZY, "Hate Roderigo" and "Good Morning" by YENA, "Allergy" by (G)I-DLE, and "Mixtape: Time Out" by Stray Kids, it just brings back that nostalgia of watching Disney Channel and binge watching Hannah Montana.
And yeah, stuff like fansites, fan communities, fanclubs, etc are a really nice place if you find the right one that fits with you. Hell, I met some of my closest friends on there, just finding people that has the same likes as you or finding someone who stans who you stan is just so delightful and I live for it tbh.

I'd argue kpop is more music that pop actually, you don't see ur average pop artist dropping full albums or even mini albums anymore cuz they just dont care to do that. • @statesofgracie

one of my biggest issues with pre releases is that because they’re so close to the actual comeback they almost always end up either overshadowing it or confusing people about it. I can’t tell you the amount of times a pre release drops and my timeline is all people going “wait they released the comeback already??” “didn’t they just announce this?” “I thought it wasn’t coming until…?” or when it’s time for the actual comeback and everyone’s saying “I thought they just had a comeback a few days ago?” “wait so *pre-release* wasn’t the comeback??”
I would say this is mainly only an issue for casual fans who don’t keep up with a group’s promotional schedules but there’s even been groups I stan where I don’t realize part of the schedule is a pre release and then get confused when it suddenly shows up in my RUclips page, thinking I misread something or got the dates wrong. companies keep trying to westernize their kpop releases but don’t want to commit to the western timeline. the only group I’ve seen pre-releases genuinely work for in a way where all singles are successful is blackpink which is in part due to their already massive success and fanbase and in other part due to the fact yg was always willing to wait the proper amount of time between a pre-release like pink venom or how you like that and the actual album

    6. I think most of the people disagreeing with this one are twisting your words. There were a TON of child celebrities turned adults that began telling their experiences of abuse and exploitation in the industry like Jennette McCurdy or Paris Hilton which lead to a major drop in parents that wanted to put their kids into things like music or acting. It also doesn’t help that music and acting lessons are too expensive for most parents, and all of hollywood’s writers are on strike. So this melting pot of problems is what led to there being almost no content for teens and kids in the U.S. But those teens and kids still want content which is why they’re getting into kpop, ransacking Sephora’s, and pretty much sticking their noses where ever they know it’s not supposed to be, bc they’re bored and have nothing to do!!! I don’t think you meant that kpop has risen the west in the sense that a kpop stan is as common as swiftie (on stan twitter yes, out in the wild? no.) but rather the lack of content for children in the states has forced them to branch out into literally anything and everything including kpop which only furthered the west’s slow recognition of kpop

During Sixteen I remember he reluctantly deferred to his team on this issue when they brought up Jihyo's weight. He also has a song about preferring curves, at least by Korean standards... I'm not sure he thought Jihyo needed to lose weight much less Nayeon at her current weight.

Actually JYP explained the weight thing on a show once. Can't remember the name. Idols need to go on a strict diet before comeback releases since they need to dance a lot. Women tend to keep weight than men. There are moves as well that you can't really do if you weigh more. You also can't keep up with some tempo. But I know more idols do it for the looks.

    6. At risk to be cancelled, the west entreteinment have just pushing down our troaths their "woke" agenda that people do not trust them at all. Idols envelope a more polished and proper image that really resonate more with 99% of people that the "woke" campaings the west try to sell us like entreteinment.

    3. K-pop is oversaturated with groups and content. If a group doesn't act quick after a pre-release, the general audience will just move on. That's because k-pop fans are overfed with content. In Western pop the artists take their time with the releases and the albums, the fans are taught to wait.
    4. I'm a K-pop fan for almost 15 years. The pressure on K-pop idols concerning their weight was there the whole time, it's still here and my guess is that it will never change. The Koreans have certain standards and if the idols don't want to get hate, they should obey them as sad as that sounds.
    6. Idk, for me most groups still have a cohesive style.
    8. And here we go again with k-pop fans getting used to be fed with content. For me personally it's not a problem when male idols just disappear when they enlist. I mean, if someone is at least a little familiar with Korean culture, enlistment is to be anticipated. I don't mind when the company has not pre-recorded/pre-filmed content with the male idol just for the sake of content. If you're a fan of the group, you'll be waiting for the discharge of your idol no matter what.
    9. Both versions of "Rover" (the original Bulgarian of DARA and Kai's) are pure fire. Both artists showed their charm through the song and made it their own.

when it comes to the enlistment, the reason idols just dip for a long time is because they’re not supposed to do anything during their enlistment. Every guy who goes in has to leave their jobs and families for months on end, alongside idols too. Baekhyun literally had material prepared for us and SM took it down because while technically not illegal, it ends in hot waters due to military law. the only group to get this chance is BTS and it’s solely cause of their position in the industry, cause every idol had to give up their career for 18 months cause the government told them no activities but BTS gets everything, it’s not fair at all

    • @joonsdimple
      @joonsdimple Месяц назад +3

That’s actually not true. Idols are allowed to release content it just has to be finished and prepared BEFORE enlistment. BTS doesn’t get special treatment idk what you’re talking about. The reason most idols don’t post is because they probably take enlistment as a break to not post content or probably don’t care to release anything and just focus on serving. This is something you could easily look up but you chose to lie just like a typical SM stan smh
