Racist against who? You know he’s not black right? Asians? What if I say I never thought a country music singer would be talking about treasuries, does that make me racist?
@@yupimonaboat it does seem a little racist though, as braids are from black culture, and you saying that you never see anyone with braids talk about treasury bonds may imply some racism there.
Holy sh*t! I went to a math camp with this kid almost 10 years ago. While most people at the camp ended up working in the STEM field, he was not the only one that took a nontraditional path.
My favorite people in life are walking contradictions-smart, independent, "masters of many," constantly evolving, flat out winning at life. Kaido Kid fits the bill. Quirky, self-reliant && not afraid to live outside the lost herd of followers and trend trackers.
I think this is part of the advantage to what may be diagnosed as ADHD these days. Just being open to new experiences because the old ones get boring too fast.
I love it. This dude is so interesting. If you look at him you'd never think he went to Harvard or works at RUclips but that just shows our own narrow mindedness. Thanks for the sick content Joma.
Harvard, Citadel, Jump Trading?? Damn the talent level on this channel is getting ridiculous! At first it was just a bunch of full stack devs/data scientists, now Joma's bringing in quants from Ivy Leagues. Are you bringing in tech CEOs next?
I know I'm preaching to the choir here by saying this considering that this is Joma's channel, BUT I really feel like Joma is very "thin" in his knowledge of Software Engineering/Data Science. I would bet money that he just barely slipped in to Facebook and more than likely is the type of person who exaggerated their resume. Every time he sits down with someone who is clearly more well versed then he is, its painfully obvious. You can see it in his body language, his inability to have an in-depth conversation, and his demeanor. Theres something that just isn't right about Joma, not sure what it is.
like everyone else, he doesn't like it when people are better than him at something. we are all like that. i think all of you guys posting to this comment are just as bitter. chill out.
Lol you are projecting too much here, no, not everyone else is like that, in fact, it's only you and him... arrogance and jealousy will bite him very hard soon.
This definitely gives me a lot of hope and encouragement that even as a quant there’s “unconventional “ people in the industry. I myself don’t seem like an engineer which discourages me to pursue that field but this pushes me a lot more
@@richtofen4888 haha thanks for asking. I completed my BS in mechanical engineering and worked in the field for a bit. Didnt really feel like I fit in. I didn’t really have much in common with my coworkers. So I quit, moved to a different country and now one semester away from completing my MSN. Also completing a second BS in mathematics as a side quest
To be fair, asking to derive the Black Scholes pde has come up in some interviews I have had., I would find it to be a basic question if you are applying as a quant researcher.
@Joma I am becoming a big fan of yours dude! Love the content and youre pushing a great niche. Your content is helping me get to a level where I want to begin posting my own videos (have wanted to for a few years, just need to make that leap). I am currently working in finance in portfolio management. I just found out about business analytics, almost super similar to data science/data analytics. I was wondering if you could do a video on maybe someone who has a business analytics role in the future?
kaido is dope. I think there was more you guys could've gotten into outside of the professional side of things. little bit more of otaku, more of hip hop, trends in pop culture (and maybe how that influences the professional side of things lol)
YOOOO Joma, I see your videos all the time love them. I just wanted to know are there different types of data scientists? Like is there a machine learning data scientist, spatial data scientist, or is there just a data scientist.
God damn Kaido kid straight from Hokkaido, high as a kite doe, gotchu feelin real nice doe, he spit on the track flex on the beat gotchu feelin his vibe doe
Because he obviously is jealous of Kaido. Some of his humor was dry, but it's glaringly obvious to the rest of us Joma came into the interview seriously butthurt. Mostly because he was transferring his disappointment at being rejected by companies onto Kaido.
I don’t get it. Interviewer starts out interview trying to tear the guy down. The guy is definitely the real deal. He didn’t do his DD prior to the interview??
He doesn't understand that hip-hop is about the lives of real people trying to make money through music. Most of these rappers would love to have been born into a rich corrupt Nigerian family that sent their kids to nice schools.
Never in my life I thought I’d see a guy with that haircut talk about treasury bonds
bonds up bands up $$$$
This is racist...period
@@jordanaladaxonou1452 what are you implying pal

Dude this guy has one of the most impressive resumes I've ever seen
💯!
😆
imhellag ditto.
Lil pump: dropped out of harvard to save the rap game
Kaido the Kid: Graduated from harvard with a masters to save the rap game
Lol
🥴
what part of rap game needs saving ahahahhaa
😂😂😂
Kaido seems really down to earth.
You mean THE EMPEROR OF HTE SEAS
KAIDO SAMA
Holy sh*t! I went to a math camp with this kid almost 10 years ago. While most people at the camp ended up working in the STEM field, he was not the only one that took a nontraditional path.
He's quite literally living his life to the fullest, mad respect for him.

100%
this definitely shows us not to judge people by their appearance. great video joma!
Why not? It just shows again that asians are good in math.
?
@I m a masterpiece why?
aw man, this is such a fun podcast to watch, kaido seems super into it, esp around 6:20. cool person to interview! keep it up joma!!
Wow, I went in expecting to dislike the rapper and left liking the rapper and disliking the other guy..
Why? I keep seeing comments by people that don’t understand the content.
Adam Lewis he’s kidding
yeah, Joma was a bit patronizing with his comments
it's an artist not a rapper:)
@@jonathanvasquez1312 I thought so, too.

Elemental Hero hahahaha he is going to bring Larry Page or Mark zuckerberg next
"So.. I heard you get paid $1 a year, how do you live with that?"
They all internships chill
A real rapper who actually went to Havard.
This was a very cool video. An Artist and Joma just chillin'
This was an awkward interview and video, and it wasn't because of Kaido Kid.
agreed... Joma mad annoying, here for the interesting guest only
It’s his interview style. I think he’s more savage/ very up front even bashing guest because it gets them to break character.
You're awesome man! Thank you for making these highly informative interviews 👍
His next song will be called "Hit the Quant"
Man this is so dope
Love these cool interviews!
I really like this series. It gives a lot of insight in different careers and different personalities.
Really cool interview. You should post more content like this.
This was great more interviews!
whenever i feel like settling for my current job, Joma's videos are there to motivate to study
Joma, your face, your words, your smile, everything looks so bitter

He is jealous of people higher than him, he even admitted it. Hope he'll someday lose that loser mindset, lol.

Bader Bouta bitter bitter bitter. What is your deal?
The interviewer is really jealous of his guest. Hilarious to watch.
Skulltruck08 yes, porque?
I know right, was quite disgusting whilst the guest remained positive.
Interviewer was a super bad sport (just started watching)
how do you notice that? some time stamps?
Really do not see how you come to that conclusion...
omgg KAIDO actually took the time to look up his individual paychecks and explained so patiently😂 how cute
Kaido Kid seems like a humble dude. I respect that!
based on the intro i didnt know what to expect, but this dude was really chil and overall cool interview. nice

Loved this video.
Them bars be lit af!
Great chemistry in this, you guys hit it off well!
What a great guest to have.
Your channel is one of the best one on RUclips. Amazing fun.
Hmm nice interview. It was good to know about the motivations for work here. I can understand how it can be soul draining to work purely for money.
Above all the dude is super humble!!!
To be fair, asking to derive the Black Scholes pde has come up in some interviews I have had., I would find it to be a basic question if you are applying as a quant researcher.
Hahaha so funny! This is insane! do funny how he was plugging his channel straight away! Love it Joma!
LIVE YOUR DREAMS thanks for introducing to such an awesome personality.
Joma looking saltier by the minute
I love how Joma asks questions. Sounds likes he's asking for himself so he can go take the interview!

Yeezus Christ do you guys actually think people who listen to hip hop don't work in Tech or Finance??
You realize Google basically encourages people to look like they're brimming with personality
Cool interview. Non traditional background quant is really interesting!
I love this channel, so explicit lol no censor for “shit”
these guys literally sound like homies, amazing!
_Sees Harvard in the thumbnail and "rapper" in the title._
*Lil Pump?*
Hahahaha
sick!
That audible sponsor, more people should plug like that. actually makes it pretty funny lol
great video man
Thank you! The guest is incredible!
Please interview those people that became Data Scientists without having CS or SE degree. Would love to know their stories and experiences.
i dunno how i arrived at this page, but i think this is pretty funny. its cool that this guy followed his passion and try new things.
Joma brought the HEAT!!!

THIS DUDE IS DOPE ASF!
Hey, man!

Cool interview. Interview more people with non-traditional backgrounds or career paths!

I love Kaido Kid - amazingly cool guy! And great video.

I thought that was Joma dressed up interviewing himself
Everyone deserves a creative outlet but I pray he did not quit his job
If you rap, you are a rapper, own that and be proud of who you are and what you do.
This is so cool
Kaido Kid, Damn inspired!
I keep being reminded of this dude in my math class
I'm surprised people didn't get Jomas dry humor. Instead they thought he was jealous of him.
Because he obviously is jealous of Kaido. Some of his humor was dry, but it's glaringly obvious to the rest of us Joma came into the interview seriously butthurt. Mostly because he was transferring his disappointment at being rejected by companies onto Kaido.

t=i know im super late, but i loved hearing Kaido talk about his experiences, first joma video where his interviewing actually put me off
"You want the big 4. I don't care for. I got what you want when I was a sophmore."
Not gonna lie, that was pretty hard.
Hey Joma! love your videos from Korea. Found any portion of youtube demographic stats from Korea?
dropping out, the trap life is for me
Now this is an interesting interview
My first impression of him was like wtf, then when he started talking about his quant internship and explaining trading principles I was like WTF!
I can see the nerd in this guy , but also the hip pop . Contradiction
I'm the same way, but I'm black so it's not as special.
„The hip hop“
Hip hop nerd
Hip Hop have a lot If nerds is not easy making good music.

Edit: Anddddd mans watches anime. Freestyle was mad too and hes only 22????? I feel so urgh

kaido - how do apply data-driven techiques to the world of rapping, using data science to create predictive models for audience retention. 🔥
Very humble guy !
