Great video! I’ve been building my dividend portfolio ~ my top dividend holdings are: QYLD, O, ARCC, RYLD. I’m sitting around $850 in dividends per year. Next goal is $1,200 = $100 a month. At 37 years old I really wish I started earlier. Ultimately I would like to get $5,000 a month in dividends to replace my full time job income.
I hear ya. I'm 38 and started last year. I'm not earning as much as you in dividends but I'm trying to do better for my kids and teach them these things so they don't end up like me and my parents, little money for the future.
Dont miss out on HRZN and WPC and most importantly OKE not only does OKE provide a good healthy quarterly swing trade but it offers a really nice dividend
This is hands down one of the best investing channels I've ever seen. No bullshit, distractions or product placements. Straight to the point and informative. Great job
I think we can all agree this channel is one of the most informative investing channels as well as straight to the point which you got to appreciate. Also extremely underrated. Cheers.
Great video, personally I don’t really care when I get paid my dividends, but I certainly care more about whether or not they are high quality companies that I NEVER have to worry about.. my monthly dividends come in from Realty Income and Stag Industrial… when it comes to funds .. I’d rather take Bogles advice in investing in broad market indexes like VTI and VTSAX, 🚀
Most of my companies pay dividends in the 3rd month of each quarter, so monthly pay wouldn't hurt. However, if one has the discipline to live off dividends, one should have the discipline to budget quarterly.
bills are not going to pay themselves 3 months is a long time especial if you are living dividend check after dividend check with no way to reinvest back in to the market to hopefully grow and live off that.
HI Hans, I think psychologically getting paid monthly feels safer than once every 3 months Buy your absolutely right, quarterly payments are fine, just need to make sure to budget!
If you don't have the fortitude to save money on the side in order to pay bills then how is one saving money and investing it into the stock market? Makes zero sense. Both go hand in hand. If you can't do one. Then you can't do the other. Anyone that thinks someone would struggle living off quarterly div payments is just naive and a casual.
Appreciate the video. Thanks. I focus on dividend paying stocks in my investment account and Roth IRA. Have a few that you mentioned in the video- especially in my Roth IRA. New to your channel, but my wife and I keep saying that financial education isn't taught... at least not at a young age where you can gain the most value. TIME is a huge factor - the power of compounding interest. Cheers 🍻
Catchy vid title. Ive created my portfolio to receive a div every week. But its made up of stocks that pay quarterly divs. Only 2 stocks pay monthly, AGNC and ARR. Great vid!
Thanks for some new ideas - will be looking into SUNS & USA. Held AGNC & PFFA for a while, holding O, MAIN, PSEC, QYLD, RYLD and watching JEPI & NUSI. Watching your videos is time well spent. Thank you.
@@novelsandlattes I jumped back in when it was under $9, so I'm good with it. I'll exit when it's over $10 again. That's a pretty hefty holding. Big fan of the channel here. Might be slightly off the usual topic. But I think it'd be really great if you were to make a video detailing the pro's/cons of different investment platforms. I use a few but they don't all offer everything and so I don't have access to a lot of the stocks/funds that you've covered. I'm trying to find a good platform/service that offers a wide range of dividend payers. Cheers! Keep up the great work!
the tail is rather wagging the dog here. i'd much prefer to make the best investment decisions and i don't think choosing based on the calendar is the best way to do it. anyone living off dividends would/should have a cash buffer for emergencies. so why not have a separate account that dividends get paid into which has that buffer in. then send a sustainable amount weekly/monthly from said account into your current account. current account is the day to day account, not sure what you guys call it over the pond. just keep an eye on the balance of the account. i personally am happy to control / monitor my spending. i don't need to get close to zero on my account balance to decide to spend less.
I don’t know where the best place would be to suggest videos to you but do you think a video about dealing with ETF’s that aren’t using margin/ leverage?...with all the talks the past few months about everything being over leveraged and a “controlled crash” I think it would be a worthwhile video for many people in the short term😅 as always thanks for all your videos man they really help-keep up the good work

Hello. I love your channel. Is there anything preventing a passively managed ETF like QYLD from slashing their dividends? I’m trying to figure out how risky it is to go all out on dividend funds as a fire strat.
How do you feel about holding cryptocurrencies on lending platforms like celsius, nexo, and aave for passive returns? The yields being offered right now are very competitive compared to most dividend stocks. I would love to see a video about what you think about it
i do that to but only with crypto i mine myself which is arround 120 dollar of bitcoin a month. i think its a valid investment the only problem is that global goverments could decide to move against crypto in the name of fighting crime or taxes whatever. so i do see a risk there especially because all goverments are more or less aware now and do have it on their agenda to do something with or about crypto. i think diversification is like allways the best method here. i would strongly adivse against putting more then 10 percent of your wealth into this crypto leding stuff.
