    Hello sir ,a little off topic I've just moved job sites I'm running trimble earth works but my employer won't pay to have my trimble base station set up as I'm only here for a week ,site next door has a leica base station set up my trimble is reciveing a radio signal from said station I've got northing and easting and elevation will these be correct? Are base station compatible with different brands thanks ,colin

      Well different brand base station can be used, but usually they need a separate radio to be able to convert their base corrections to either CMR+ or CMRx for Trimble machine radios to receive. You could be getting their signal, but most likely from somewhere else. The job site northing and easting and elevations may be close, but I most likely not because their job site is using their calibration and you are not using a calibration for your site. If you have corrections from any base, you can create infield designs off of it and then it doesn’t matter. It’s all relative at that point.
