I think this game is proof that Adventure Time is not really a "kids cartoon". I had to find a "how to video" to interpret the instructions. How many times I had to read the section on "how to start" just to figure out "how to start"... do I hold 8 cards, or throw three away because I can't have more then 5. where do 5 cards go? do I have to start with 5 or do I only pick one weapon but then what happens to the other cards (of the 8) that are also weapons. What is in my hand, in play out of play, lions, tigers and bears! but I agree - once you figure out where cards go and how many are "in play vs in "holding""", it certainly simplifies "role playing"... I think a 5 to 10 minute video instead of printed instructions is... essential!
Thanks for the vid. Be warned newbies-the instructions for this game are SERIOUSLY complex. Perhaps it's that I'm old, or the paper instructions included need to be simplified, but I spent an hour last night trying to get my head around the endless rules and caveats. If not for these vids I prob would have had to send it back.
+Vermundr44 Yeah this was a deal-breaker for me too! Should have been like King Of Tokyo, where each character has a tracker. Or atleast a few generic ones thrown in.
So, wait... Do you level every time you kill a monster, or only when you kill one that tells you that you gain a level?? coming from a D&D background (truly a lifetime ago...) The XP you gain was easy in that scenario. Here...I'm just a bit lost as to when you gain levels. Other than that, I'm excited to get started!
The cheesiness of this video is quite vast. lol but seriously, would you guys be opposed to this video being featured in the Adventure Time wiki's Ooo Review?
This is a game of dickery that can take hours to play and will 100% ruin some friendships. 10/10
dagamimon Exactly... I love this game...I got six versions of it....waiting for the steampunk version
