I work in a field where contracts and agreements are signed as a matter of course, and I did use the Pilot G2 pens for a long while, but the gel was not only thick and sticky, but also very prone to smears and smudges (something that was quite common not just with righties, but most especially with lefties when signing contracts). When it comes to a cheap gel pen for use in signing on cellulose-paper financial documents, the Uni-Ball 207 has been tops as far as I am concerned (though, some of my cohorts still swear by the ol' ink ball point). However, the 207 is not very good on glossy receipt paper (which I immediately noticed the first time that I did so); for that I will use a Pilot Acro. The G2 has been the absolute worst when signing glossy receipt paper (far worse than the 207), and also pretty bad at signing cellulose paper documents (you have to let it dry a few moments). At the end of the day, you have to know what sort of medium you are writing on. For me, the 207 0.7 Signo in Black is my overall workhorse pen, and my Pilot Acro 0.7 in Black is for those glossy mediums. I have had almost zero problems with skipping, jumping, smearing, and/or smudging when accounting for the medium that I am actually writing on. It has been a very good system for me!
I love the depth of your comment and all are valid points to take into consideration! Especially receipt paper, it's almost impossible to find a pen that works consistently on receipts!
Uniball seems to be the only pen which passes every test I've thrown at it. Both the Pilot G2 and the Pentel Energel inks fail when exposed to bleach. I've tried both the Uniball 207 and the Uniball 207 Plus+. The original 207 seems to skip sometimes, but the Plus+ is very smooth and is my favorite pen right now. I bought a 4 pack which had 2 black, 1 blue and 1 red. I did notice that the red faded a little bit in my testing, but it wasn't significant. The blue and black were impervious to everything I threw at them. I noticed no fading at all.
These pens skip! Here’s my neurotic conundrum-I wish I could quit the signo but I can’t 😢 I’ve used them for years, and only 1 out of 4 doesn’t skip! But when they’re good…they’re very very good. They didn’t used to skip. I bought them at a big box store maybe 15-20 yrs ago, the first two 12 packs which lasted 3 years, got me hooked. Like writing with velvet. After that, the quality dropped. Now I’m chasing the dragon and sometimes I find it, but the honeymoon has been over for a decade. BTW it was very frustrating that you complained about the ink, but then didn’t compare it to ink that you love. There was nothing to reference. But thanks for the video. Did uniball pay you not to mention the skipping? Or did they send you the pen sample-their choice? Because nearly everyone complains about the skipping.

@@GentlemanReviewer What's the difference between Uniball Signo 207 and Uniball Click Gel pens?

This pen is super smooth and nice to use. I subbed!
It's smooth, but I just was not a fan of it! Thanks for the sub!

I just made a review on this pen. Just here checking out the competition! Great review.
What’s your favorite gel pen? Or ball point? How do you like Zebra?
I’ve never had good luck with 207s. They all skip for me.
Same
Try the 207 Plus+ pens. They're much smoother.
Try the zebra g301 pen in blue it writes better and dark and do a video review of it
Watching a pen review by someone who cannot hold a pen properly was something I wasn't prepared to deal with.
