I think the Burst Assassin will perform much better in High Wattage CPUs like the 12900k around 200 W due to bigger heat sink and one more heat pipe. Great video BTW 👍
In theory yes, more heatpipes is better, but airflow close to the heatpipes is essential. In the burst assassin, they are more pack together, which is not optimal. I just bought one and noticed air escaping on the side, which is just waste. If you somehow simply cover the 2 sides that are closest to the fan, it should push the air more around the pipes, if you are a bit handy. Personally i'm going to make a square tunnel from the heatsink to the fan at the back of the computer for a pull-type configuration.
@@shiveringisles3509 i actually returned the burst for a spirit assassin dual tower, since it is better for that purpose of pulling air from exhaust fan! i have a low power cpu and like quiet rooms
Good work matte. Just an appointment: when you do a comparison, please always remember to put the different results tables side by side, so it will be easy to compare both devices. That's crucial to a proper and easy comparison. Keep you good work.
Thanks for this comparison, was looking at both (same price on Amazon AU, both for ARGB models). One thing that might sway you towards the Assassin King is that its 148mm high rather than 154mm for the Burst Assassin - important for some smaller cases (NR200, Corsair 280X, and a handful of others).
Thank you for your review, now im going to pick Assassin King for myself because the Burst Assassin is 70% more expensive than the Assassin King in my country, it costs me only 16$ for a cooler that can handle both i7-9750H 45W and RTX 2060 90W from my modified laptop.
Not much in them really. Thought the one with the 6 pipes would have preformed a lot better than the 4 pipe one. I know it does a BIT, but a couple of degrees doesn't really make a convincing argument either way. Great testing though dude. Very thorough.
I'm here after discovering the stock cooler for the 12400F is absolutely terrible. Thank you for this video, it seems like both of these will help considerably, in comparison to what I currently have. The stock cooler idled at 50C, and can double if stressed, which means I am currently terrified of using my PC at all. I thought maybe the paste was poorly applied but no, it was perfectly adequate, it was just working with a slacker. It is unfortunate that Intel would sell such a good chip with something that bottlenecks it that badly.
@@WELSHYTECH Oh wow, did not expect a reply so soon! Not to be annoying but I had a question about the size measurements. How does it compare to a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO? (The first one, not V2) I'm looking at all 3 on Amazon but they're inconsistently measured. Judging by the page, one of the coolers in the video should be half the size but it's clearly not. So now I can't trust that it'll fit in my case. I have a problem with the old Evo where it would poke out the side of my casing, so I would like something smaller...I mean, if it's bigger then that's fine, I just would prefer to have the cover properly fitted on the case lol
@@WELSHYTECH Sorry, I am not sure what the case is, it was taken from an old pre-build I had 2 decades back. Is there anything else I can give you that would be helpful? If push comes to shove, I can get a new case assuming that fits in my desk.
@TheGreatBackUpVIDEOS OK well both Coolers will fit a normal mid tower case Burst Assassin L120 mm x W120 mm x H25 mm Assassin King L120 mm x W46 mm x H154 mm
Very good !! Friend, would you say that these two collers in the video have almost the same results as the Assassin X 90 SE (92mm fan) ? 4 degrees, more or less ? Watching from Brazil here, congrats !

@@WELSHYTECH Hi thanks for the reply it happens that I already ordered it hours ago. The stock wraith cooler brings the CPU to 85c in normal gaming sessions which worries me. It's probably fine but I want it cooler

Yes will be fine
Great review of these coolers. Look a solid upgrade if you want more than a stock AMD Wraith Stealth, for example.

也許未來,你可以組裝一台intel的電腦,來比較這些散熱器的差異。amd cpu 有很嚴重的積熱,沒辦法很好的比較散熱器哪一款更優秀
Well that's something I will be doing sometime this year but as I have to buy the parts it will take some time
Which will you choose to cool a R5 7600 without overclocking?
Burst Assassin is better quality overall bud

I'd honestly go burst Assassin it's built better
