Request and Irratik were tied for 1st place but Request had higher performance score and yeah
1st Place - Request (New Zealand)
2nd Place - Irratik (Canada)
3rd Place - Kana Boon! (Japan)

this group won coz they were not your ordinary girl dance group, they brought something new like doing things that girl groups werent expecting to do as well as a clean routine they brought fresh ideas into it, and thats the key to winning is to see what NEW ideas and interpretation as well as surprises you bring, thats why Sweet and Sour and Phillipine Allstars didnt do as well this compared to last year cos it was a sort of expected performance.

There is no excuse why there should be a tie Request clearly killed it, their energy flew off the the stage, and everyone enjoyed it, Especially the girl in the black hair (3rd one from the left)
i so much prefer these types of routines... reflecting real hiphop !

I remember the leader of this crew asked a judge one time what they needed to improve on and the judge said "you need boys" now look at them....WORLD CHAMPS BABY!!!! i see how they came first they had good chory, tightness, formations, levels, versitiity,angles,swag,performance,buckness bahahahahahha i could go on forever yaaaaaaaay!!!! WAS the most ultramate girls crew around NOW the most ultramate girls crew in the WORLD!!!

you girls ripped it...I like your mix tomboy,,sassy diva like beyonce and even your straight hiphop flare like the tutting sections etc that was dope..vonly thing I would say is the parts where people wouldnt expect from you like the krumping tutting etc highlight it more cause thats what makes you unique than generally the other all girl groups..if theres fafas in there sorry I cant tell.lol

How is that NOT hip hop?? Yous do realize this is a new generation? we aint living in the 1970s or whatever time Hip Hop originated from... There is no Formal structure towards Hip Hop. Its too subjective.. Some of yous are judging and saying this and that as if "hip hop dances" need to have certain things in it to be classified as hip hop. Its not Ballet or Jazz. its more open where styles can be incorporated... That IS a Hip Hop routine.

If you think thats not hip hop then go find your self a group and teach them a routine of hip hop and bring them to the hip hop world championship. if you cant then go research what hip hop means. not in one prospective but in many..

Just remember it's the World Hip Hop DANCE Champs, not the World Hip Hop GYMNASTIC / ACROBAT Champs. Dziah were good, but not what the judges were looking for. Simple as that.

@chille4silence yeah i get your view about how hip hop has changed...but like everything it evolves, moves have changed even styles. i'm not a dance teacher or a choreographer so i can't give you the 411 on that style. people are gonna dance and choreography moves and styles that are in at the time as that's just how it's done these days...but yeah thanx for getting back me and kudos for saying wat u said

ok, im not saying that they are not good. however, the problem is that people have misconception about hip hop dance, what it is and what it should be like, etc.
and because of these competitions, people believe that what they see is hip hop, when clearly its not.
in the whole routine, i havent seen a drop of hip hop, dance and music wise.
and thats the reason why i felt i need to say it.

@chille4silence maybe so but they entered into it as a hip hop dance crew and won it as a hip hop dance crew, and guess wat!!!! won it again in 2010 in the Adult division...so call it wat u want but those girls were awesome and winning two years in a row in different categories for hip hop must mean it's a hip hop dance...xo

riz3n1, it's easy to see why 2.0 didn't place. Not attacking their set, but if you look at the other crews that placed above 2.0, you will see that they had better DANCE elements in their sets than 2.0. 2.0 weren't as sharp as other crews. The best thing a crew can do before going over to the worlds is to find out what they are gonna be judged on. That way you won't be disappointed if your crew doesn't place.
