To link your PAN card and Aadhaar card in the Income Tax portal, follow the steps given below:
Go to the Income Tax e-filing portal -www.incometax....
Log in using your PAN card number and password.
After logging in, a pop-up window will appear prompting you to link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card. If the pop-up window does not appear, go to "Profile Settings" and click on "Link Aadhaar".
Enter your Aadhaar number and your name as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
Click on the "Link Aadhaar" button.
If the details entered by you match with the details in the Aadhaar database, your PAN and Aadhaar will be linked successfully.
Note: Linking your Aadhaar card with your PAN card is mandatory for filing income tax returns.
