Yeah pretty much that, I want to make it clear to an audience member who just wants to win "this is probably the right choice if that is all you care about". But I am experienced enough to embrace variety and jank and come away unscathed.
I love that we're doing all the "types" again like last time. I know the miniseries has a limited lifespan but I've been enjoying it and am glad of it while it lasts!
I appreciate that you take the time to explain the different options a player could have and then go for what you would consider the most fun. It helps me understand the game and the way you strategize better!
My favorite part of the game has always been the final final boss. Not seeing it when you returned was really sad but it made it so worth it to now see it again, love wild frost, one of the best rogue likes made. I will never forget the first time you saw the lumine and the ending fight. Love your videos Reto, youre a legend
What I really liked about today’s run is that while it is ostensibly an overbuild build, there’s so much interplay between all of the different cards in your deck.
I really hope that they eventually add an option for seeded runs and provide you the seed for a run after you win/lose a run, like Slay the spire or Balatro. Just so we can see some of the truly insane combos that can be pulled off under the right conditions.
This is one of the series my son loves! You and this series are "Clean" enough for him and my wife has no issues letting him watch so keep it up man. We did love your Brotatoe series but the little guy was not born yet for that one so going to intro that to him later
This run was awesome! Love the buffs to the weaker units, as Vesta was fairly underwheling before. Never realized the possibility of the +2 buff bell allowing for barrage on whatever you want. Will definitely keep that in mind for future runs. As for more content, would love to see you try for all gold card borders. IMO, its a fun way to try to explore making runs work with all the cards in the game.
Am I the only one that doesn't really like the true final boss ? I'm not saying that he's bad or easy (because that's not the case) but the false final boss feel just funnier with all the jank that can happen in it because of your last run while the true final boss is kind of always the same thing, every monster is here and no wave with different enemy that can change the fight a bit (well now there's the charm that help a bit on that part.)
i think if you're gonna do future episodes a challenge you may want to try is only taking cards WITHOUT a chiseled/golden borders (if possible) (ie: only take cards you haven't won with yet)
Have you seen "Old market simulator? I don't think it's a let's try for you channel, but I think you might enjoy it for a couple of hours with a friend

I agree, the regular boss is one thing, but the true final boss really makes you pull out all the stops
Shademancers are by far my favorite faction. They have the most interesting mechanics, and their designs are top notch.

I kind of understand the sentiment. The right hand of the big bad being a much cooler boss fight before the actual final boss kinda vibe
