  • I've seen quite a few videos reviewing them from new, but wanted to give a review after actually using them for a decent period of time both riding solo and 2 up with a pillion.

    Great review, just got my new to me R1250 yesterday with these on it and was unsure as always have had hard luggage but I think I’ll give them a go 😉👍

    I've had these 4 years now, lots of use and even a low speed spill. Absolutely tough as old boots, not even a mark after the spill and they protected the bike to boot.
    The only failure I've had is the elastic bands that tidy the loose strap ends have perished. The bottle holders are brilliant and will happily take a wine bottle or a Yeti drinks bottle.

    I opted for a set of Bumot hard cases (top and sides) for my '22 GSA. But I can agree that inserting the supplied key into those damn mounting locks is just as much an ordeal for me, as it is for you--and for exactly the same reason; the passenger hand rails. I can at least open the sidebox lids while I fiddling with the key and that does allow a little more access to the lock. I'm thinking of taping one of the keys to a long rod or dowel of some kind. About 10 inches would do the tick. That said, I'm with you--I'd buy the same set again in heartbeat--I love mine.

    These came with my bike and I was going to sell them. After doing a 4k Mile Euro tour with them, I'll never go back to hard luggage.
    They are brilliant and not everyone has them.

      If it matters to you (like it does me). These are made with fair labor, unlike many others available.

    Great video, I took my toolbox off as it fouled the bumot frames, but watching this I now know it’s possible to have both on, is there any strengtheners available to keep the bottom of bags a bit more sturdy? They do seem to bow inwards to the bike! Thanks

    Great review! especially useful hearing things like how easy/hard they are to pack. I've been using their hard cases for a few years now on my KTM 790 Adventure but I'd like to switch to soft luggage.
    I'm tossing up between a rackless system or these - do you know how much they weigh empty? I'm guessing they're not super light with that 4mm back plate, but I cant argue with the convenience!

      Hey Mate, have you already looked up the Bumot Extremada TT Rackless? I want to buy these but im struggling because there are literally no first hand reports about the quality.

      @@gunthereisenmann361 I didn't even know Bumot made a rackless system! Thanks for bringing these to my attention, they do look pretty nice, and I like the slightly more square shaped bags compared to the tubes of the Mosko/Tusk offerings as I think they'll be easier to get in and out of the pouches. They're pretty well priced too. Hmmmm, decisions...

    can i ask about the wunderlich seats? im thinking to buy the low one to be more inside the bike but is it comfortable than the stock?

      @TheStammeringBiker  8 месяцев назад +2

      Mine is the standard height version but it’s definitely more comfortable than the stock seat. I think it’s slightly wider though which isn’t a problem for my as I have very long legs.
