So why all the words and stories in the Bible, that are so contradictory/unbelievable, that believers have to go through logical gymnastics, to try to explain the inexplicable? Religion/belief have a problem, it created itself, that it cannot resolve. The aid of psychology must be employed, to help it achieve much of it's aim, in this life. Maybe more would have more faith or confidence in belief, it it did not insist on demanding people accept so much, of what seems naturally, very difficult to do. Maybe more would be more willing to give it a try, especially if one could see a more distinct difference, in the behavior of those who believe, from those who don't.
