My Dad used to work for the same company as the lead singer Henry Barnes, many years ago,and he actually invited me at 15 years of age,and a m8 to go and see them,at the Hendon Poly, what a great night, picked us up in their van, with all their musical gear in the back first concert we'd ever been to,after drove us all the way back to our homes,inPlaistow East London,a great night, never forget it actually a great reggae band, cannot understand why they didn't make the big time, and they treated us like royalty, great bunch of blokes. This was one of my favourite songs off their album
Reminds me of my secondary school days in the 70s. A classmate was very fond of this music. Infact it came to our school through Sani Gote of blessed memory who goes with the nickname of Sancho. May his soul rest in peace.
All of you that commented on this universal hit, "Revolution" may you men and women live long to enjoy good things of life. Thank you all, you made my day. GOD blessings always to us all.

I sure know where you were coming from, borther.Vibes like this reminds one of the good old times. We just enjoyed being young and loved good music for what it gave us-fun,just fun.You mentioned "dj-ing" forerunners like,Stagger Lee, JAJ of FRCN2(Radio Nigeria 2 lagos),but Patrick Oke,(late?) stood out in a particular kind of way:his deep baritone voice. On "pop round the world",he would sign in thus."good afternoon, Lagos......this is Patrick Oke, on "pop round the world"".Thanks for sharing, man.
To memory lane - yes, Patrick Oke used to blast this great song at amusement park, Apapa then. Kudos to Patrick & James Akinyemi Johnson (JAJ) of FRCN2. Perfect & awesome combo!! I never knew Patrick Oke had passed. A man with an iconic voice! Adieu Patrick Oke!! you 'll be forever missed...…..

So they allowed you guys to listen to corrupting Western music back then? I would have thought this goes contrary to Islamic teachings. lol
Yes they tried their best to corrupt us. You never know with bad people with bad ideas. They creep into your life in different facets.
I appreciate your good sense of humor for seeing the irony in my tongue in cheek remark. I'm glad you turned out ok considering. Thanks
