After experiencing it firsthand, I've never understood why men tolerate pointless conversations with their wives instead of taking charge and handling important matters.
The wife is terrible and has no idea or even cared about herself, her husband or children. He never should have married her in the first place knowing that she liked chocolate. Cheating with someone even halfway decent is bad enough but to go that way is her just telling the world how little she thinks of herself as a person.
This was a complicated situation; given that they were breaking up and that he knew they had other lovers, why would he spend so much money on that birthday?
The Auther weaves a sad tale of treachery, betrayal and duplicity. Poor Brett. Notwithstanding his own dalliances (and to be clear, his came AFTER Marge betrayed him) HE is the only one showing any conscience here, and even Brett's dalliances betray him! Marge is by far the worst, for she betrays him for a rich famous sports star who's cheating on his own wife & kids, and he rubs Bretts nose in betraying him!

Mark Lavalier again, so Derek is his buddy.
This is truly a cheaters story. So many cheaters including OP himself. Lol. Full of nonsense.
So, this guy Brett walks in on his wife and his boss having a 'meeting' in her office. How awkward is that water cooler chat going to be on Monday?
There was a lot of cheating in this story its a nice told story.
who the hell is Mark Lavellier?
Yeah...the whole Victoria angle was nauseating.
Just had to throw Mark Lavaliere in there just because huh ???
Or Karl Malden one of cheaters in other stories btw who dont know famous actor from golden age of Hollywood😁
That was just so F'n stupid.
Having been there I never understand why guys allow stupid conversations with their wives instead of taking control and talking care of business.
