Good lord. Makes me wonder on who came up with these sounds
Also I just realized that Cave sound 5 and the beginning of the sonic cd boss theme (US ver.) sound a bit similar, don't they? Idk could be wrong
I once heard Cave 3 and thought that there were more than just zombies roaming my mine, thinking that was something’s feet dragging or breath being drawn, really scary. Imagine seeing something near a lava pool only being lit by the light of the lava but still almost pitch black, unmoving and shaped like another player, but you’re in singleplayer mode.
Caves 10, 16 and 19 will always be by FAR the scariest.
I Think 14 Is The Scariest
I believe that steve is in coma and the Minecraft gameplay is only a dream.
Cave 19 could be some horn sound, telling the miners to ABANDON the MINESHAFT. The "chattering" sounds could be a ton of footsteps of mobs taking over the area.

The Crash Theory is very good, except mobs exist, and mobs can push them around, let alone ride it, so it’s great but it’s just that there’s another possibility that makes more sense

My theory of cave 19 is an enderman attacking the last of the miners

I wanna try to explain something so the cave sounds are NOT reminders (ok maybe they are but read this) so I have something what if YOU were a miner and saw/was in the accident in your “past life” that’s why when you create a new world you spawn with nothing because your starting a new life so back my the theory yes the cave sounds play in a dark area because your scared of the dark BECAUSE the accident you were in or saw now, what if this whole accident is reminding you of what happened to you in the crash… now it’s just a theory A GAME THEORY- ok I’m not matpat

Perhaps. Cave 17, Cave 4, Cave 19, Cave 18, Cave 15, Cave 10 and Cave 6 are extremely scary when I'm trying to get diamonds

Dude I remember hearing cave 17 for the first time and I legit just saved and quit for like 2 hours
There's also a new disc in 1.19 (Disc 5) and I have a feeling it's a sequel or another part of this. Just a feeling tho...
theres another theory that the entire game is in steves mind and he was playing this in his head while he was in a coma from the crash
To add to this theory, disc 11 could be a recording of the survivor of this crash
Might be, but what explains the barking-like sound at the end before it cuts off to static? The only creatures that bark in MC are wolves, and wolves aren't in caves...
