Brian Keith has always been one of my favorite actors, pretty much in the class of James Garner. I don't think there was a performance of his that I didn't like. He was always so easy going and laid back.
not sure when he played a Russian scientist about a meteor coming to earth... spoke Russian very well i found out years later he could speak it fluently
Strange, I feel EXACTLY the same way! I loved them both, from the late 1960s on. It would've been AWESOME if they had used Brian Keith as Jim Rockford's dad. Not that Noah Beery Jr wasn't great. To me, James Garner was A GOD, and Brian Keith a close 2nd.

Brain Keith thank you for your unselfish service to our country. I always thought of you as an uncle that I wish that I had. You put love in many of your fans' hearts including mine.
Mr. Skinner that was brilliant! Tragedy, suicide and tobacco, seems to be a common thread amongst performing families of that generation. Fun fact, my first and middle name is actually Brian Keith! My mother had a serious crush on Mr. Keith growing up! Go figure! Keep up the great work sir and thanks!
I was named after him. Born in 1966. Folks got my name out of the TV guide and they were fans of family affair. At least they didn't watch gillliagans island
Thank you Jerry for the true respect that’s shown to each of these individuals you bring us. So many like Brian Keith played characters that had a huge influence upon our lives as children growing up.
Jerry, you opened my eyes about an actor I always liked. I had watched Brian’s movies as well as his TV Shows and always felt his sincerity to the rolls he played. This my friend was a terrific tribute to a terrific man, from Down Under.
One of the greats. Awesome actor. ....I first was made aware of this fine actor in The Mountain Men with Charlton Heston. Very fine movie. One of my favorites.
My best memories of him were from "Family Affair". After that, near the end of his long career (1993), he played "Mullibok", a grizzled old Bajoran man living alone in the 3rd Star Trek series: Deep Space Nine. The episode centered on DS9's Major Kira Nerys trying to get "Mullibok" to leave the planet, which had been given to the Cardassians in some sort of agreement. Major Nerys developed considerable feelings toward this 'crazy old man', but in the end, it was her job to get him to leave, which she finally is able to do, after she helps him complete a kiln he'd been working on. It was a very good episode, and one which displayed Brian Keith's considerable acting talents, even though it was now 1993, and Brian's career & life would soon be over. Thanks for a good look into Brian Keith's complex & tragic life Jerry; A fine job as always.
That DS9 episode was "Progress" from the first season. I've always wondered how Nana Visitor felt as an actor working with someone as accomplished as Brian Keith. Would love to hear her recollections of working with Keith in that episode.
I had a family member who was good friends with Mr. Kieth. I heard some great stories about what a great guy he was! His son’s eulogy confirms that the stories were true! Wonderful documentary! Thank you!
And you don’t look a day over 45 honey! My little sister and I used to watch a family affair all the time! She was Buffy and I was Jodie! Cheers… Keith

The Brian Keith Show (originally titled The Little People) is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from September 1972 to March 1974. I remembered it as "The Little People".
The thumbs down was an accident, I didn't notice it till you said something. I was having a bad cramp in my leg. He was a great actor, one of my favorite! I miss him. I believed he played in the parent trap. Whatever he was in, I loved it. Thank you MR. Skinner. Sad I didn't know how he died.
Thanks so much for sharing the fruits of your hard work Jerry. I've appreciated many, many videos. As someone born in the 50's, I've learned so much, that from the eyes of a little boy, I could not imagine. We usually think the actors, are in fact, and only, the characters they are portraying. Of all of the videos I've been watching on RUclips for years, this one broke me down, and I couldn't stop from weeping uncontrollably. Thanks for a beautiful portrayal of Brian.
Mr. Skinner I've been watching your videos for a long time now. I always get a thrill when you put out a new one. This time even more so as I have always been a huge fan of Mr. Keith. Its so sad all the tragedy he went through and how his life ended. Thank you so much for what you do Mr. Skinner. Joe. Aurora Co.
Another awesome story Mr. Skinner. It's almost like reading a good book that you can't put down. You have one of those voices that just makes you want to keep on watching. Thank you sir.
We all are envious of, and seem to desire, his kind of fame and fortune. But to loose 2 children in the way he did makes a person question their wants, desires, and priorities. Such pain........
