sorry to hear you were feeling down, you must have had some very negative comments. I love watching your videos, better than anything on tv, I'm happy every time I get a notification that a new one is available, keep up the great work.
I've been a plumber / Gas engineer for twenty years, like you I love my job and I really enjoy your videos the only problem is that you show so many new tools I end up spending a fortune 😆....thanks again for your channel its a fantastic help and very interesting.
I'm an electrician but always enjoy your vids, like to get a better insight into the other trades. Enjoy the gas parts aswell but would never dream of taking on gas work myself. The only thing I don't like about your vids is the crazy tool envy I get 🙄. Anyway hope you keep up with day in the life series.
Please don't give up on showing gas repairs. If people want to do illegal gas work with out being qualified that's THEIR PROBLEM. As for the haters, let them throw the their dummy out of the pram like a bunch of BABIES. I am loving your videos they are informative and after watching them I have fallen in love with my trade again, and I have risen my standards after seeing how much pleasure you get out of doing a job to such a high standard. We all love you and appreciate all the hard work you do in making the videos . PB keep your head up and hope to see you soon.
Some people won't like my post but the fact is some tradesmen hate it when people give an insight into what they do. They treat it like some secret society that must not let the public know how it all works. They're probably the ones who charge ridiculous amounts of money. Just had a gas engineer recently try and pull the wool over my eyes over a fault. Didn't realise I know how these systems work and have been doing my own plumbing for decades. When I pointed out the discrepancy in his claim he then started making some other crap up. I didn't say any more, just thought let him get away without an argument. I watch videos of people re-jigging crashed cars too. I have no intention of ever doing that myself but I still watch with interest. I think your videos are brilliant. Anyone who is incompetent is going to have a go anyway. If you were in my area I'd hire you in a heartbeat.
peter I love your video's , been doing plumbing 10 years your video's are the best on you tube , the truth is no matter how good you are, someone is always going to be against you. But never let them be the limit of your success , do what you love , every 2 weeks for a video is fine mate
Peter don't listen to the haters, the truth behind their 'concerns' is they think it will lead to people fixing these issues themselves resulting in less work for them. Trust me it scaremongering even though you haven't shown anything too detailed.
The boiler fault videos is one of the main reason why I watch your channel, I've gained lots of knowledge. I am a new gas safe registered engineer and I've learnt a lot from your videos and appreciate the hard work you put in. Thanks
So im new to your videos and im slowly catching up! I love it keep going. Im a plumber who is doing other things now but i keep my hand and in and love watching what u get up to 👍
It’s your videos put in it what you want, don’t let anyone tell u what content to do, I for one enjoy seeing all types of your plumbing jobs, chin up mate
Really enjoy watching your vids PB, it’s almost like being your apprentice, walking us through jobs and explaining what ,where and why. It’s really helpful for us new to the industry. Thanks for your efforts, it’s really appreciated by the majority.
Hey PB as a plumber who has just finished my NVQ and looking too start my gas in the near future its great too see some tips and tricks from a experienced engineer, it dosnt mean im going too start attempting too install/fix boiler or gas appliances. Keep it up.
Thanks for all your vidz, been in the game 10+ years and there's still so much to learn. Your work is quality and giving up your free time to post these vids is helping more people than will just make a comment on here. keep going
Hey Peter I’m a plumber from Australia just wanted to say love the work mate really enjoy your channel, really interesting watching how other plumbers work in different parts of the world! keep up the great work enjoy the channel 👍🏻 enjoy the plumb life
Please don’t stop posting these videos mate, I’m retraining as a plumber and these videos have helped with an insight to what you would normally do, you love doin what your doin so don’t feel down and think is it right for me doing it, keep doing what you are doing mate 👍
PB great vids as always, don’t give up, all of us appreciate the hard work you put into these videos you’re a credit to the trade who gives away your good information and experience for free!! 👏🏻👏🏻 I would rather lose that tool forever 😂
Very interesting, I never thought using the vac for unblocking a drain pipe, good tip thanks. And I like doing the swagging myself whenever possible, like a signature work.
Don't stop the videos! A big part of my decision to retrain as a plumber/heating engineer (im 32) is because of the videos. I have an interview next week for a level 2 diploma course.
stephen moore , I retrained last year, best thing I’ve done career wise, I’m 35 and work with a company full time. It’s early days and not always easygoing but it’s definitely the best job. Hope it goes well for you.
PB you are the man keep up the vids. Looking at comments the vast majority are fellow trades people being inspired to do the best job they can. Drive the mrs crazy as work as gas engineer all week and relax by watching you and plumber parts etc lol.
Keep doing what you already are PB. I point all my apprentices in your direction as your social media work is excellent and a real good pointer into how a small business really works. Most important your films are ‘real’.
Keep at the videos mate, they are brilliant. If people want to work on boilers without being GS Registered then that’s their problem, it’s them that will be liable when things go wrong.
Watch every video mate, find them really helpful as work on my own and don’t get a chance to pickup tips from other heating engineers and plumbers. I’m gas safe registered about three years. Before I became gas safe registered and if I watched some of your videos, then I wouldn’t have had a clue what you were on about. So I think your videos are great keep it up, f*#k the haters.
I agree your very cool oparitor tips are always cool and good just do vids when you can you work I work people understand who are real people and in various trades for get the negative idiots there sad you are not your better than all that plus where did you get your cross laser from please regards Stephen
Your videos are very interesting and you set a great example for others by the high caliber work you do (man, those solder joints are beautiful...). But the best part of you doing videos is that your love of your job shows through and will surely entice other needed people into a life fulfilling trade.
Don’t let people put you down, your videos help a lot. As a new be in plumbing doing level 2 all the videos help even the boiler videos , any one that works on a boiler are idiots with out the right qualification you have told people in your videos not to try it at home with out the right qualifications. Hope you keep up with the videos 👍
Hey PB , I rarely put comments on RUclips but thought I must on this video. I for one really enjoy your videos and appreciate the hard work you put into them, I look forward to a new post as I can sit down with a nice cuppa and enjoy what you have to show and about your job and skills. Please keep posting but only if you enjoy it.
As you say Pete the videos are usefull for people just coming in to the industry as a plumbing and heating engineer myself I enjoy watching your videos. You have a way of explaining things and whether you’re just starting on a training program or been in it for 10 years you never stop learning. Do what you do Pete and if certain people don’t like it, then just let it go in one ear and out the other, you will never please everybody and while I do kind of get where they’re coming from in showing gas work, if a DIYer is going to work on his/her boiler they will do it anyway, if they think they know what they’re doing. As long as you explain You shouldn’t copy what you’re doing if you’re not GS you will be fine.
I personally love see if the gas work as an apprentice, no one else really does it on RUclips and it's a great insight into it, but if you stop doing them I'll still watch the plumbing vids :)
Good luck to you I love the vids! I’ve been plumbing/heating for 30yrs don’t know how you manage to work and do videos!! I do agree Perhaps gas work shouldn’t be shown. Love the tool reviews too.
Just started college to be a plumber im on week 2...glad i found your channell as it gives a real insight to what i can expect once im qualified..great advice and knowledge keep up the good work...dont listen to the haters..do u..not them...
Nooooooo , please don’t give up. I’m a carpenter/ cabinet marker and been into RUclips for years , I watch everything joinery related but love your channel , when I see you’ve uploaded a video it’s the best part of the week. Don’t listen to the haters , chin up and carry on mate 👍👌
I really enjoy your videos, I'm not a plumber or gas engineer (IT background!) but I enjoy all the gas works because at least I know when I call someone I can connect with them in terminology and know what they're saying makes sense and it gives me a sense of protection by knowledge if that makes sense; I would never attempt to service/repair anything myself and hope no-one else would by watching these videos without the necessary training and tools. Please keep up the good work you're providing a lot of good!
Ps my other half watches videos of professional doctors doing surgery apparently they are popular as well??? People watching them hopefully won't go and try to perform medical procedures after watching a few videos. It might spark an interest for someone to go into the medical industry.... same applies for your videos.
Mate keep up the fantastic work and tool stuff. Really has picked me up and got my enthusiasm back in to plumbing and heating. Your work always looks top draw. Ignore the pricks and do what’s good for you! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just got round to reading my last issue of Plum parts mag, did not realise you were last years heating insaller of the year, well done! keep it.up mate, you have a great channel here showing the stuff you do sets it above the other channels., dont let the bastards get you down!
It saddens me to hear that some people can't enjoy your videos properly. I'm a Swedish ventilation service technician and I still get tons of knowledge from your videos! I admire your work ethic and the time you put into these videos and sharing your knowledge. So thank you and I hope I will be able to watch more of "the life of a jobbing plumber" series 😊
Im aan Electrician and i have to say i love your videos, great content, well explained and i would never try to work on a gas installation as it is against regulations here in Ireland but i am still interested in the work . by the way love the tips you give along the way have. great work. keep it going as we all look forward to your new videos every week
I’m not a trade, a keen and competent DIYer from an electrical engineering background . Your vids are educational and shows why you should always use a qualified professional to do this sort of work. Like other comments here I look forward to seeing your vids and your approach to doing a quality job. There will always be people who are negative, why I don’t know It’s something about modern media that spawns this sort of behaviour. My gran said if you cant say anything good. about a person then don’t say anything at all. You have a living to earn and life to lead, thats number one. You are great and I only wish I had access to you here in the Midlands. Trust and quality is more important than price.
Hey PB Im a Plumber/ Gas fitter in Perth Western AUS and i enjoy watching your videos due to the fact of interest and how the Brits plumb over there, i must say some of the neatest copper work ive seen :). We all have down days mate but chin up and keep doing what your doing and keep charging.
Hi pb don’t be put off you are a true professional I have been in the industry 30 years and learn things off you which is really useful yes we all have bad days I admire you for your effort bring your expertise to the channel. Keep it up chap don’t worry about gas safe stuff leave it out if you feel better about it and no passing it on to the channel. Thanks Alex
Top videos, Top attitude. Really enjoy the videos, been in the industry for 12 years and still enjoy watching your content even tho i do it every day haha! Keep up the good work, do what ever makes you happy!
Hello PB, keep posting your great videos, you are a quality engineer, you remind me of a couple gas engineers & plumbers in Oxford call Mike Westlake & Steve Ponting, they taught me a great deal, got so much respect for them, you inspire so many people, ignore the haters as they are full of shit.
I am not a plumber and I would never attempt to mess about with things like gas. I love watching your videos and have gained an insight into a fascinating trade. Keep the videos coming and ignore any dissenters. By the way anyone who is mentally challenged or just plain stupid to mess with gas will do so even without your videos so ignore them.
Being a plumber we always look after our tools where a lot off others seem to not care. So I’d be polite and just say well your other tool are all messy yet this one is new looking. Keep smiling mate. 👍😁
Hi Pete. I’m a jobbing gas engineer. I really enjoy your videos, please don’t just do plumbing. That’s would be very boring! I’ve run a similar set up into the back of my transit and I thought I could share a couple of ideas with you. On my system I’ve also connected two led lighting circuits so it lights up like daylight at night when I’m hunting through the racking for parts. Also I’ve fitted a cheap digital volt meter so if I’ve got any worries about battery drain because I’ve had the inverter running for a while stationary then it’s a simple check. What I would say is that I ran a dedicated cable from the starter battery into the back so that I could use a higher rated in line fuse than the std cig socket is provided. I’m actually going to upgrade my system soon so I can run a 12v cool box in the back as well to give me chilled drinks in this hot weather. To avoid starter battery drain I would advise fitting a voltage sensing split charge relay and leisure battery. It’s easy to do. Then you will never have any worries as your starter battery won’t ever be used for accessories in the back and you can run the inverter for a while with the engine off. If you really want to go ott then a cheap 100w flexi solar panel fixed to the roof will keep the leisure battery topped up even if the van is parked up all day and you are hammering the inverter. Love the videos. Ignore the haters. Those of us out there actually doing the job right know the score mate. Fuck the keyboard cowboys.
PB you are doing a cracking job - keep them coming but don't stress about what other people say they need to get a life - you are not responsible for what other people may do - they will do it anyway . Electricity is more dangerous than gas and there are loads of videos on RUclips of how to do rewires , testing etc - videos on how to change the brakes on a car , no regs on that.
Keep at it PB. I’m commercial gas and the amount of nifty tools you have open my eyes to has saved me hours of time. Get your self an amazon affiliate links sorted so you can earn some from linking the tools on there 👍🏻
Hiya pal. Keep your chin up. Most of those 'haters' just want to knock you down 'cos they are crap and they feel inadequate when they watch your 1st class videos. If you are really bothered about showing too much gas related work you could always set up a verified video channel whereby only gas safe engineers can watch them. Just a thought. Keep up the brilliant work that you do as you are a natural. I don't get sick of listening to you explain things even when I know the answers. I'm a time served engineer too.
Great videos, really enjoy the real life experience as well as the tool reviews - I can imagine they are time consuming to prepare though - so thanks from the community for putting the time into them. Any person who tries to attempt gas installation work based on watching you tube videos deserves what they get imo - you cannot possibly be held responsible for that - All the best! Good work
Hi PB keep up the good videos mate &. don’t let people get you down .you are only showing an insight into every day life of a gas /plumber /engineer, Don’t feel guilty or responsible for anything at all people as people can go on RUclips and watch in-depth medical surgeries procedures ,does that mean they will try it at home? It’s up to them, Secondly I think your videos are actually aimed at the trade itself i.e. plumbers and gas engineers, imagine all the videos on here showing how to replace and repair the braking systems on cars!! Equally scary. it’s the same principle and people will do whatever they want regardless I can’t see how anyone could Leave any bad reviews or comments on your videos which are In-depth and excellent and which we as fellow tradesman really appreciate. Keep them up mate!
Hi PB, Please don't let this be your last video. I've watched them all since you started doing this and have loved every one - especially these longer ones. I had to double take this weekend as I was sure I saw #22 yesterday and now I know why. I enjoy seeing the gas stuff and I don't believe anyone would be stupid enough to try and DIY it. Can't see anything wrong with having it here - after all the sparks all show what they get up to such as how to change a consumer unit etc and nobody would try and DIY that either as it's just as dangerous. Anyway, thanks for putting so much effort into these. As others have said, ignore the haters - you'll never please all the people all the time but you certainly please most of the people most of the time. It's your channel so put up what you want to :) Cheers
NEVER give quotes for small repairs like boilers. If I'm going, I'm going to fix it - labour and materials. Driving around giving out a free diagnosis to tight wads is a loser. If they want people to quote for small jobs, tell them to get someone else. Thanks for another great vid. Ignore the haters and keep going the gas stuff please.
Hi Pete I hope you keep up the day in the life vids, your videos have given me a new found love for my role as a self employed plumber. Sometimes it can feel like your alone in what you do and the daily struggles, seeing your vids for the first time brought me tremendous joy and reminded me that I’m part of a wider community. I’ve been hooked ever since and look forward to every upload. I now follow on Instagram also which I enjoy , but the RUclips videos are really unique and would be a great Shame if you stopped them. You’ll do what’s right I’m sure, just wanted you to know that they have been highly valued so far. And I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks so. Cheers 👍
I’m an electrician & love watching your vids & the only thing I’d touch & reluctantly is changing an immersion, keep doing your vids once you’re enjoying it
Unbelievable!! 🤷♂️🤷♂️ People need to take their heads out of their A***s and listen to what this guy says and does . No wonder that nobody can’t learn or have the desire to learn the trade when these haters criticise everything! Like to see them taking time to show their working schedule as well as keeping the customers happy 🤨 Keep it up PB 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi PB , always look forward to your video's , has a plumbing and heating engineer myself its nice to see fellow engineers having a great or shit day . We all have them . Also your video content are spot on , ignore the haters out there , if people a going to mess with there plumbing and heating, they will do so weather a video is there or not . KEEP your videos coming .
I'm gas safe registered and really enjoy watching your videos mate find really interesting please don't stop. Appreciate probably takes lot longer to do jobs when filming though and understand.
Chin up Peter, your videos are great, really interesting bud, don't be discouraged, keep it up mate, the gas sections are only vague, and part of your normal day, ignore them!
As an aprentice find your videos helpful and educative once you have mastered your trade the next step is to share your knowledge dont give up on it mate
As a newly qualified gas Safe engineer I have found your vids really useful and informative. It's a shame you have removed some of the gas stuff. Your vids are fantastic and you shouldn't let a few haters bring you down. Keep up the good work bud and ignore the haters!!!! If you're ever up north in Leeds then give us a shout.
Keep going mate you are doing a good job helping people in the trade who are looking for advise , someone said in the comments that people also could look at books that are available to anyone so you aren’t doing anything wrong , this is a fair point , keep it up mate don’t let negative people bring you down , stay positive 👍🏼
Pb met you briefly at Phex and like I said there, there will always be negative folk around. I find the Gas and boiler related content to be the most useful and most interesting of all. Keep it up if you have time and if it is working for you. Thanks mate.
I love your videos and I'm a qualified plumber with my craft and advanced city and guilds obtained doing day release at Brighton college of technology now called Brighton polytechnic!
sorry to hear you were feeling down, you must have had some very negative comments.
I love watching your videos, better than anything on tv, I'm happy every time I get a notification that a new one is available, keep up the great work.

I recently discovered your channel and I’m enjoying the videos. I’ve been a plumber for over 25 years and I’m learning things from them.

im a 2nd year apprentice in service and maintenace and i really enjoy watching your videos
You do a fantastic job keep them coming, a plumber in the US.
Im aan Electrician and i have to say i love your videos, great content, well explained and i would never try to work on a gas installation as it is against regulations here in Ireland but i am still interested in the work . by the way love the tips you give along the way have. great work. keep it going as we all look forward to your new videos every week
I'm a plumber from South Africa, and enjoy watching your videos to see the veriation between our jobs it's crazy but carry on bud.
Good job
Stick with it mate. Good to see you’re going to raise the floor for your vault. Give me a shout if you want to know how I secured mine
Pb please don't stop making these videos we all love them
Hi pb don’t be put off you are a true professional I have been in the industry 30 years and learn things off you which is really useful yes we all have bad days I admire you for your effort bring your expertise to the channel.
Keep doing what your doing mate don’t let haters let you down...love what your doing
Keep them coming these vids are great!
Hi mate. Love. The videos keep them coming your a excellent tradesman thanks Tony
chin up chest out and carry on I love it
Chin up young man , I do look forward to and enjoy your videos mate, keep up the good work
I love your videos I’m new in the trade it’s nice of you sharing your experience with others
Good work
Loving the videos! Very helpful
Hi PB,
Please don't let this be your last video.
Keep videos coming Pete they are brilliant👍🏻
NEVER give quotes for small repairs like boilers. If I'm going, I'm going to fix it - labour and materials. Driving around giving out a free diagnosis to tight wads is a loser. If they want people to quote for small jobs, tell them to get someone else. Thanks for another great vid. Ignore the haters and keep going the gas stuff please.
Keep at it. Always interesting to watch
Hi Pete
I hope you keep up the day in the life vids, your videos have given me a new found love for my role as a self employed plumber.
Cheers
👍
Keep them up pal ,I look forward to them
Apart from it cost me a fortune every time I watch one 👍
I’m an electrician & love watching your vids & the only thing I’d touch & reluctantly is changing an immersion, keep doing your vids once you’re enjoying it
county582 did you go to trade school
welcome back
Good to see you have bride in yr work, top job👍
Unbelievable!! 🤷♂️🤷♂️ People need to take their heads out of their A***s and listen to what this guy says and does .
No wonder that nobody can’t learn or have the desire to learn the trade when these haters criticise everything! Like to see them taking time to show their working schedule as well as keeping the customers happy 🤨
Keep it up PB 👍🏻👍🏻
Gr8 videos keep the good work up , you sparky work is top class also 👍from Ireland
Haters will always hate PB, another great video.
