First thing BJ buys is a grand piano...makes perfect sense. Now lives in a mansion on the waterfront he saw as a kid and says he doesn't fit in and feels like he's waiting for the owner to come back and throw him out.
That Jaguar of Billy Joel's is one of my all time favorite cars types. The styling is just beautiful.
What a fantastic way to introduce people to the idols that they’ve grown up with. I think we all kinda figured that they were a lot like us in this way and now we know it. Thank you Mr Leno.

I love how they artistically edited out the hour or so it takes to change the tires, change ECU, fill the tank with race fuel, and reprogram the tune up to put the Demon in drag mode lol.
Jay are you going to set your garage up to be a museum. It would be a legacy that would span the generations. You could do videos for each individual museum piece where future generations could learn directly from you! I think you could set this up to be self sufficient. Would be an awesome contribution to the motor head society.

Nice compilation, Jay. I especially liked the Dee Snider clip and the drag strip footage out in Pomona. Can you say what time & speed you turned on any of those runs? I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and did my share of street racing back in the day. The Bob's Big Boy on Van Nuys Blvd. was the place to set up a race, while the Big Boy in Toulca Lake was for taking your girl friend to. Glad I survived all the craziness.

Saw Jay drive a 2000 Monte Carlo , Indy pace car driver at I don't guess how fast in front of 33 of the world's best drivers. He has their respect in driving, for what it's worth , mine too.
Things do happen quick at high speed. That nice graceful curve suddenly becomes a sharp corner.

Mr. Leno. Your show is amazing. It brings me back to my old muscle car days. But, when you take cars out, and don't get me wrong, I would love to do what you do with cars, you leave your turn signals on more than anyone I've ever seen. If you could kinda work on that, I can't be the only one that thinks that. Anyway, keep up the good work. Love your show.

I thought the Eliminator car was Stolen .. Did they build a second one or did the recover it ?
Years ago after the first couple of ZZ top vidio's came out on MTV with the Eliminator coupe ,one of the local drag strips was advertising that the famous coupe would be on display at their track on Sunday. A bunch of us decided to drive our Rods over that eve and stay Saturday night ,watch the drags and take some pictures of the famous coupe at the track in the morning.
The next day we got up and opened our motel door and we were shocked to see what we thought was the Eliminator coupe sitting right in front of our room. We quickly grabbed our cameras and were taking pictures when this guy comes out of a room next to us and tells us that it was a clone and not the real car ,but one of a couple that Billy G had built to look like the Eliminator coupe and tour around the country.
He told us that most of the time he was paid just to unload the car and drive it down the track and then load it up and take it right to the next town. He also said that the original car was still being used (at that time) in vidio's and they could'nt afford for something to happen to it. I can say I saw at least.... ONE of the imposters.
The coupe looked alright.....but was'nt detailed and finished as well as the original. If you were sitting in the grandstands at the drags you could'nt tell the difference.

I know that this is an 8 yr old post.....I just have to say that knowing BFG’s Eliminator with a 33 Chassis built by Pete & Jake’s Temple City, CA, Body by Scott Knight, Chop by Billy “Birdman” Stewart, Paint by Carambia-Beard and orchestrated by Buffalo Motor Cars-Don Thelen and ordered by The Reverand hisself.
The one in the post above may be the “Tour Car” that was commissioned and built by Chuck Lombardo’s California Street Rods that spent some time in their showroom window. Both look nearly identical except the clone is “un-hinged”.
So I’ll post both so ya can see the difference, unaware if there are additional commissioned examples out there in the hot rod world.
I forgot to mention that the one I saw was a fiberglass car and we all know that the Eliminator coupe was a real all steel car.
