If you have Intercession, you can technically substitute half of the team with them. Eliminator from Phobos team. And you then only need Captain (for me Tor Garadon) and Heavy Incestor.
40mm base is huge. two characters 40mm bases side by side, cannot pass through doors in ITD since each would have 15 mm left since they can only go 25 mm to the side of the hatchway. So one peaking could only have 5mm showing through the hatchway to allow the other to pass by.

i had some space marines heroes 2022 and 2023 laying around, so i'm using them as a proxy. they are cheap, and in my oppinion fit perfectly for some of the Justian models. so i have: Brother Marius = Brother Lucien from heroes '22 Brother Acules = Brother Sevrael from heroes '22 Brother Thysor = Brother Arteros from heroes '23 Brother Flavian = Eliminator from vanguard task force (the one standing up) Captain Justian = Space Marines Lieutenant Brother Vignius = Heavy Intercessor Brother Decian = Assault Intercessor or Brother Sergeant Raldaeo from heroes this way the theme and all guns match
So for my Warpcoven Proxies, I built both a Chaplain and a Librarian, and I have all the requisite other guys from playing Space Marines since KT 2018. So will is be Kill Team Cassius with the Chaplain, or Kill Team Tigerius with the Librarian?
Due to being one of the few fools who brought Pariah Nexus I can mostly make this team based on stuff I have from the KT-18 days (it's a very KT-18 team). The only real proxy I'll be using is a First Legion Preator in Cataphractii armour.
I like to think im pretty lenient with proxy models and dont mind people building custom models etc. instead of the exact official kits, but using completely different factions, especially some that are literally other teams in the game, I think is the line for me. Id feel a bit miffed if i was playing someone new at my local shop and they put down 6 kasrkin and said they were space marines tbh.
Hey, i'm pretty new at this, but i'm kinda looking to get into Kill Team and use proxies until i have a few teams set up. While you gave a baseline for base sizes and height of the models, is there a place where i can check the measurements?
Sadly, there are not, no. It is usually a case of asking for size comparisons in various discord servers. Having a generic primaris model on hand to judge from that might help you too. We're rarely talking about more than 5mm, but it's noticeable!
Could you please rank those 5 novitiates from best to worst? Dialogus, Duelist, Reliquarius, Preceptor, Militant sword . I have place for 2 - but somehow I'm not convinced about any of the 5 mentioned to be worthy, so need to know what the ranking would be.
@@GlassHalfDead which 2 are acceptable because IMHO all 5 SUCK. Don't know whom to assemble, dislike all of the 5. KT21 calculator shows that Duelist deals the most DAM on average out of the 5 but some people seem to like Preceptor & Dialogus. So I'm also interested in who is the worst (I suspect that Relicarius but haven't played with or against them)
@@motokokusanagi1172 dialogus and preceptor are what you want. The dialogus is your comms and that +APL is always critical! And then the preceptor has a decent weapon with special rules and abilities. However if you want to swap the preceptor with the duellist, feel free as the duellist is an easier piece to use if not as good. Worst? Honestly probably just the regular militant! Everyone else has interesting uses, the militant really isn't bringing anything to the team with a 4/5 damage weapon 🤷♂️
The other Kill Team creator ranked them in this order as well. Dialogus is not providing extra action per se (I think of it as of mana fixing in MtG) but both of you ranked her as No1 so I must glue her +preceptor (no ranged weapon...). Based on your experience those must be the best of poor options. Hopefully regular sisters will be out next year with proper equipment. Thanks!
@@motokokusanagi1172 I think after you've built the team up, you should focus on getting games in. I only say this because to call the 2 picks from that list bad options simply isn't the case at all. Those are 2 very good operatives. +1 apl is your game maker. She will win you games because of what she allows others to do. Guaranteed. And the preceptor, although not amazing in every matchup, does have some very interesting things going for her. Just stressing for you: not bad choices xD

Tor Garadon is a great model. Doesn't fit on a 32, I've tried, so good marines have a 40mm base he can be used on now!
I'm going proxy them with my Sterguard from leviathan box, just putting a 40mm base on the gunner, and a sniper from my eliminators squad.

Death guard are a great choice, I'd be really tempted to use some of their Blight lord terminators for the larger based models.
