Trey Lance … wtf!? I just about fell outa my chair when Ron said that. If Kyle was out and Jerry was in; that should tell you all you need to know, lol.
I think the consensus draft grades are going to be less predictive on McCarthy because of the way he was used with less volume per game. The NFL pros are watching a lot more film on each QB than the draft media types, and a common refrain you heard last draft season from the draft media types was that they had a lower opinion on McCarthy when they had only watched their normal 1 or 2 games, but once they watched a lot more on him their opinion went up, and that watching a 3rd down cutup was the way to really get to love him. I think another reason for that is that McCarthy didn't have the flaw that a lot of the QBs have of bailing out of the pocket prematurely. He'd make plays from the pocket when he could, and then only do the super exciting creation outside the pocket when necessary. That's a good thing, but when they're watching just 1 or 2 games and setting the ceiling based on the second reaction abilities, McCarthy wasn't showing very much of it in the sample they'd watch.
JJ McCarthy to me plays like a combination of Tom Brady/Matt Ryan except hes mobile, has an arm, and can do the off script stuff when the play breaks down.

To answer your question. Drew Lock was rapping Put On by Jeezy and Kanye😂
Luke on Bluesky. Hilarious

Best comps are Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins. Rookie QBs with season ending injuries.
Nobody else out there, jones #2 easy.
JJ should be elgabile for rookie of the year for the 2025-26 season.
Lance sucks. Awful take from Ron. But that's not really a surprise me to he'd say something dumb like that... Ronald...🤡
Bluesky isnt going to be a thing
