I'm 61 and still listening.
I’m 64 and very late to the party, but I’M HERE FOR IT!!
❤️👏🏽🔥
I’m 72 and still love this! Just heard it during the RNC in Milwaukee a few minutes ago. Had to hear it again! Love it and “December”. Collective Soul is was such a great band. My 53 year old son introduced me to them 30 years ago! Now his 33 year old & 13 year old grandson listen too! ❤ 4 generations of Collective Soul. 🙏
I was 23 when this came out! People look at me funny when I blast this solo in my care at 55 yo!!😂🤷♂️❤️🇺🇸🍺
I'm 60, people look at me really weird when I blast Metallica!
@@Nahimgoodk I’m 31 and get the weirdest looks for blasting Metallica at work lol
Who else is listening to this song in 2024 ?? Crazy how time flies by.
Me 🥰
👍
And so I'll do in the next years
You get it!
Me .. yeah yeah..WOOOH ..
30 years!!! What can I say fellas??? Just thanks a lot for the good music and memories!!!
Found this song at last, it had been stuck in my head for a few years. I originally heard the song when I was 4 in 2010 after playing it on my Paper Jamz guitar. I'm glad I can hear this song once again.
Same dawg😂
I saw this song live last night at a collective soul concert in toronto. I sang my heart out at this song and december, and i think that concert was the loudest i ever yelled.
Had to come check this out after seeing a Rick Beato interview with this singer. Good song!
Three decades gone, and this still plays in my mind. Hypnotic song
I was 19 when this song was released, and I still love it 30+ years later
I was 16....now 46...Still have my CD somewhere.
One of the best songs to listen to while on a long drive. I had this on repeat for 2h driving through rural australia the other day
This record went triple platinum and some critics called them one hit wonder! Never mind the next 4 records went gold! Love Collective Soul
Yeah, 1 hit wonder... 7 #1 songs one of which stayed at #1 for 15 weeks which was a billboard record for a awhile. Nevermind all the top 10 songs Ed wrote. That critic didn't know what they were talking about.
ok i dont think ill ever unhear the toilet paper roll lol
Did you watch the Rick beato interview. Lol
I grew up listening to this and here I am 36 still listening to it ❤❤❤
Good call...I'm just amazed..I have this on vinyl... even my neighbours love it ...all nighter
WOO WOO..😁👍
60, and still listening...
60 and still listening
@@Nahimgoodk You are truly a gal after my heart? Good Luck and God bless!
Saying "yeah" through an empty toilet paper roll!
So you saw that short too 😂😂😂😂
Yeah, so did I
6/23/24
😂🤣😂🤣😂
🎙 🎵 🎤
I miss my momma😢
We all seen the Rick Beato interview, but thank you
Who listens to this still is a legend ❤
Oh you still give me my shine even through mourning my little sis. Let it shine as We always have. 😊
This just threw me back in time to when I was a kid and riding in the back of my brother's car
Collective Soul was one of the best rock group that emerged from the 90s.
Agree
This song has always been an important anchor for me. Songs, music, like so many of us, acts as a spiritual force in ways explainable and in ways that defy explanation. Thx for this, and all the artists that create such things for all of us. Peace. mjb
Dude , c'mon ..
Meh
Of now too, we’re bringing them back.
My grandpa loved this song.
He was a very wise man....
30 years and counting. A favourite song of mine from my early teenage years.
The early 90s, the last years of good music im so glad to be apart of it. Nothing has ever come close in 30 years
Mate there is so much good new music out there if you just look for it!
I found collective soul recently looking through Spotify on the rock party playlist this was the first song I listen to and it is now officially my favorite band 👍👍👍
When I was 5 or so I had a toy guitar that played this song. Took me forever to find it again😢
I'm in my 60's and love them
Had to go grab an empty tp roll and look this up again and shout it out through it
This was my grandpa's favorite song when he was alive until he died February last year
Grandpa's shinin' down
This song still slaps in 2024 🔥🔥
That solo is so fucking awesome.
STILL loving it in 2024! ❤❤
Great sound lol
Didnt realize this album was made by one guy 🔥
One of the best songs ever 😘🥰🥰
I miss this song
This song was made in Ed's basement! Unbelievable
It's time we get the hell outta this place.
30 years one of my all time favourite songs! Thx!!
whoooaaaooaoaaa
I worked with this band in Santa Cruz long ago they were great WELL worth seeing ! and Ive seen them all
wow! you're so lucky to have been a part of them. 😮
When this came out it was like a breath of fresh air... "Breath" it in.
Three decades old & such music sounds as refreshing, original & pioneering these days as it did upon release, powerfully evocative in its timelessness that it is. Just amazing, & of a dynamically moving quality that captivates beautifully, nostalgically & euphorically, all while inducing a rapture that is transformative & sublimely upbeat. Love it!!
This song takes me back to my childhood.
Gonna say it agin YEA
I thought it appropriate this Easter Sunday to hear it, outta the blue!!
As far as i can remember this is the only song from this cd the got radio play time and still does today on certain stations ! #collectivesoul ✌️❤️🙏
Ya this song is still being played quite often on some radio stations. Greetings from Malaysia.
Just heard it in a Brazilian Music station. Oh man how many good songs from my teenage years
Great music 🎶 🎵
Man this takes me way back to the greatest period of rock/metal for me-the early 90s, just so much fantastic music. This song still to this day is on every one of my playlists, along with other bands that people have never heard of or forgotten. Human Waste Project, Headswim, Gin Blossoms, Moist....good lord the nostalgia lol. And this song still stands the test of time so dam well
ROCK 90"$
COLLECTIVE SOUL......
"SHINE " DECEMBER..
THE WORLD I KNOW....RUN..
ETC..
My childhood in the late 90s brought me back here. Nostalgia! 👌❤️💯😎
Damn this is beautiful. Haven't heard this in so long.
Song brings back memories of working with my uncle with his construction business. Always associate this song with crossing the Arkansas River on the 430 bridge on a rainy morning with him and his crew. Good times man
Ahmein..love all of rheir songs,and this..fav..shine down o heaven..🔥🔥🌺
Yes,one of the best bands...❤
Man bruh I was smoking at a beach and my friend sound hounded the song and it was a old white man blasting this while in his car 💯
w old man
Love memory 90s
I grew up on hair bands, i was 32 when heard this song and alive by PJ. It was a mile stone in my life just changed me in many ways
An album that made me think since I bought it in the 90s, there are riffs that are very beautifully combined, smooth and rough, but addictive...now I'm 46 years old and still playing it ❤
Impactful. Thanks Collective Soul. 💫
Happy 60th birthday Ed Roland!!!
I love collective soul and I also love this song ❤❤❤💗💗💗💜💜💜

I wasn't a mad rock lover but I know what I like. CS were a great rock band

This is an amazing song.
This my favorite song by my favorite bands thank you for Being so inspiring for me
Did you know he made this song in his basement?
yeah
Is and will always be my favorite band no contest
I love this song! Brings back such good memories! This is the song that played on the radio just moments after I got confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A coincidence...? I don't think so. ❤
One of my ringing phone call I really love this gigs
The riff at 0:38 is insanely underrated
Just seen them in Nashville with Hootie!! What a concert?!
i love this song of the 90s
Man, have I a great music taste :) Greetings from Poland.
Me too! Love and light from California. 💫
Hell yeah you do
Why does no one talk about this band is the best
Wow time flys 30 years
Day 2 of replaying this whenever I get the chance
I love how my parents cover this song in a cover band.
Great song
Awesome solo
Who did the solo? This was before they had an actual band.
@@timzeien Ross Childress - the original guitarist played the solo. True, technically they had no "official" band but they were all friends back then, and played on alot of this material.
@@martinaddison4880 thanks a lot… geez great solo
Atlantic Records gives Childress credit, but those who were in the original lineup did not play on the recording (except maybe Shane Evans playing drums on some tracks); they were recruited once there needed to be a live act. Ed has repeatedly stated this over the years. On a number of occasions, he's referred to this album as being made with him on all instruments except drums, for which he used a drum machine or enlisted Shane. Based on this, the solo is all Ed.
@@Prof_Jeff I will ask him the next time they are in town for a meet and greet….
One of my favs of all time. They don't em like this anymo
30 years and thousands of hairs ago. Still same vibes and energy... I wish😅
Woah I love that song its so popin cookin fun! looking*
Woahhhh!!! ohio let your gyatt shine down!
wtf
a perfect pop song.
I wish the rest of this album was as good as this song.
I don’t think any alternative rock albums from the 90’s had more than one or two good songs.
This was the favorite song of a person who was evil
We we're cool😎best music in our era
Coming here after listening to Dolly Parton’s version. Great original, (and a great version). ❤
Thanks for doing the Naty at the Pack Home Opener!
and for taking a moment to give a Big fan some high fives!
