One of the fastest and easiest ways to grow your small business is to have a personal brand. This is something I’ve always done as a business owner, both when I was just a photographer and now, as an educator, RUclipsr, and a photographer. Personal branding has been such a big part of my business and really, it’s why I’ve grown as quickly as I have. I’m often asked how you can build a personal brand as a business owner, so today we’re going to break down exactly what you need to do to start building your personal brand online!

What was the most helpful thing about this video? 💛 Personal branding is such a foundational element to any brand that can be very impactful for the growth of your business!!
Just finding your niche, and what works best for you!
Like it’s cool to take bits and pieces for others you inspire, but putting your own spin on it!
Your video was very informative!!!
What made you “quit” or took a step back for wedding photography to come over to RUclips?
Also am I tripping or have your hair grown 😂?
Yesss LOVE all of that!!! Sooo good! Honestly when I started photography, I knew it was just the first step into entrepreneurship. Photography wasn't my passion, being a business owner was! I found early on that I LOVED educating and helping others do what I am doing, which led me to start on RUclips!! :) Because I also LOVE creating videos! So as that's grown naturally I've transitioned out of photography and more into RUclips/education!
And YESS! It's definitely grown! I mean I haven't cut it in months haha but I feel like in the past month it's seemed extra long all of a sudden!!
@@StephanieKase I Love this response, like it help you to get started and venture into a different direction.
Where would like to take your business from here?
Yes!!! Oh great question, haha. Honestly, I feel like RUclips is the direction my business is going and will continue to become and even bigger part of my business! I am not taking on any/many photoshoots after this August and will 100% be focused on education & RUclips! I am also hoping to grow my personal brand too through vlogging here on RUclips + continuing to show up on Instagram, and my husband and I are starting a new business together soon (doodle dog shop with stickers, clothes, etc.) but honestly, we'll see where it all takes me! I LOVE my digital shop for education and the products I create there so I know that will continue as well!! :)
@@StephanieKase that’s amazing girl!!! I’m sure you’re so just fine at whatever lays on your heart!!! You’re soo encouraging to talk you!!
So so grateful Stephanie! What I love most is the emphasis on our quirks and highlighting those things in the sharing and content of our brand (our likes and what we love)!
Yes!! Let your personality shine through!!
Ahhh Stephanie!! You are such a joy to watch. Thank you for making these videos and the knowledge you share. Keep them coming. I'm unsure if you have one already, but would love to see a video with the equipment you use and would recommend (lighting, audio, camera angles etc). xx
Thanks, Alison!! Here's my 4k setup:

You're SO welcome, Susan!! :)
110% if you don't have a website video yet, I would appreciate it so much!!
Yesss! It’s coming out in a couple weeks on September 7th!! 👏🏻
@@StephanieKase Yay!! Notifications are getting turned on ASAP! 💛
Thank you for this Stephanie! The point you made at the end about repelling people as necessity for taking a stand for your brand really made a lightbulb go off for me. Subscribed! 💗
Yessss seriously makes SUCH a difference!!! Yay happy to have you here! :)
Me too Krys!!! 😍💖💖💖
Thank you so much for these tips.
You're SO welcome!!! Happy it helped :)
I love your videos, so informative! and I love your energy ✨
Aw thank you so much!!
Hello Stephanie! Another great video, thank you!
I remember seeing a video from you explaining the importance of and how to create a colour theme for your brand. I can’t find it anymore and wondered if you could point me to it, please? I’m about to start a RUclips channel and want my thumbnails to look uniform.
This video might be helpful! Also download my RUclips freebie!! It will come in handy! stephaniekase.com/youtubeformulayt
@@StephanieKase thank you so much!
The way you teach this is really inspiring. I made the decision to keep my name when I launched my RUclips channel, and I don't regret it.
But sometimes I wonder if it would be useful to have a logo, a brand name, or some word that unifies my brand. For instance, I also have an Etsy Shop, but the name is completely different. Should I name the different branches of my business after me?
Inauthentic is a real word. Thanks for the tips!
Haha good to know!! I wasn't sure 😂
Excellent video! I love your channel 🥰
Nessie, thank you!!! SO glad you loved it! :)
@@StephanieKase oh, I'll be here all the time! 🥰👏
Hi Stphanie. I follow you from Italy and I really love what you do. Your videos are really very useful! I wanted to ask you what was the font used for this cover of the RUclips video. Thank you so much in advance!
I feel like I have been living in a bubble. I never liked social media to the point where it consumed hours of my time or I wasn’t present to the people or things I love. However, I realized the importance of social media and putting myself outdoor to build a personal brand. I’m working on my Instagram and now watching this video, I have to start working on my website. I actually launched my first Reel this week after watching your videos. Thank you for sharing so many tips and tricks!
SUCH good thoughts, I love all of that! It truly can be so hard to feel like you're on social media and showing up while having good boundaries and not letting it consume all of your work time/life. But it's completely doable!! At this point I don't spend more than 5 hours/week on creating content and showing up. You've got this! So happy to help!!! :)
@@StephanieKase Wow! That’s managing your time properly. Thank you!
You're welcome Taina!!
Steph I love you and all your videos , very informative . I have learned so so much . I am a 60 yr old beginner that just started a business that highly depends on social media. I’m totally lost when it comes to reels, Instagram etc . I’ve watched your videos and you lost me at editing . You are so in tune you just fly thru this stuff so fast , it’s like your on fast forwards . Your curser is all over the place etc lol .I just can’t keep up ! Where do you save the reels we find while watching reels online. How do you edit period . Edit out the persons voice and put yours in , or copy a reel and put yourself in as the main character? I went thru a ton of reels I thought were appropriate for my personal and business and when I went to look for them , there gone ,, I’m so confused . !ok Any advice ???
Nice....keep it up
Thank you!!
Hi do you offer personal brand marketing services??
Great points, thank you so much for putting this together. :) I especially appreciate you talking about * where * you can put the branding imagery etc. to use, because... I do have a feeling for what it should be, but... where do I incorporate that, and how do I know it comes across? The point of repelling is also a good one. It's scary... but necessary!!
A question I have relates to Instagram Stories (and I'm going to watch your other videos on this too because I know you have several) -- I want to start talking on there to get more comfortable talking to a camera. But it scares me as well because you have to get it right from the first moment! At least when filming and editing, you can edit out the false starts.... ;) Do you have tips on confidence and getting more comfortable with that? (if that's covered in your other videos I'm sorry in advance and I will go and watch them anyway!)
Iris, you are so welcome!! SO many good thoughts and I'm so glad it gave you some ideas!! I would watch this video about having confidence with reels - it's not stories but all of the same points still totally apply to making stories too! I hope it helps :) ruclips.net/video/ShKIKl1nTpI/видео.html
