I'm looking at having a few for those guys that want a cheaper option with some backup. I want to make a few looms up between the bigger jobs and a straight plug and play setup , but done properly and tested. Yes that is the factory idle speed control unit and the idle control on these ecus is really nice. Thats one of the outstanding features of the setup. Cheers Kelvin
I have this exact ECU on a non VVTI 1UZ and it's giving me such a hard time. I don't know much about tuning, and is in the middle of nowhere so can't take it in. I don't suppose you have your MAP available as a base for me to start on? I suspect the current MAP was "tuned" by the previous owner who didn't know much about it either. The looms fell apart (wires literally just pulled out with two fingers) which makes me believe that he tried tuning it whilst there were wiring issues.
@@CartuneNZ Thanks, I found a company that will tune it for me for a bit less than your price for the map. Given I have different injectors in I think that's the better option.
I use and tune lots of link, motec, microtech, haltech, spitronics, megasquirt emtron etc etc etc. Each have their own software, some several different softwares over the years
I'm pretty sure I showed in the last video I don't work on JZ engines , haha. I'm still learning this ecu range but I think they might have the next step up with the mercury which will have sequential injection suitable for a 6 cylinder. Ill see if someone from Spits can add to the discussion. Cheers Kelvin
@@CartuneNZ think it was a bit of both to be honest, the Saturn ecu uses hyperspace and the orion ecu not if i can remember. Pressed for time I sourced Used Venus a got the vehicle going agai. Will follow your videos and try again 🙂

The problem I have found as a person wanting to buy one of there products, is there web site is not very descriptive, it dose not list what the unit comes with, or what it don't come with, there are no descriptions of what any of the parts are for, nor are there any photo's of what you get, bit of a leap of faith to order from half way around the world, I wish people would build proper web sites, or there is next to no point in having one, if people can't access all the info they need. looks like it's built by a Computer programmer not someone that understands how people use a website. I emailed support 3-5 times they didn't give me much to go on, in fact it gave me more questions, there Website keeps changing, can someone build them a user friendly website ?.
As with many products they work as a manufacturer and wholesaler and prefer retail customers head into one of their dealers to talk about the customers requirements. Sounds like you are not from South Africa so there may also be a cultural difference. I'm quite fortunate that I had a very good mate in SA who gave me some contacts which not everyone can have sorry.
So I’m in SA, spitronics is pretty shit, hahahahahahahaha but it’s cheap. SA ecus are really not the best at all…. We are very far behind the world in development in ECU SA ecu is like TV games , haltech / link is PS5/XBOX
Nothing wrong with Sout African engine managements.People run good times on them when tuned good.We dont have the fuels that America use to get max gains. If you know much about fuel....well a B series N/A runs 8's over there.Nitro methane ftw.
Nobody else is giving out this type of information on the 1UZ. Bravo!!
Glad to help out. There's a series showing how I wired it coming too but I thought an overview like this was a good place to start.
I already use one and have been so for over a year. Good results for what it is.
Excellent feedback. Is it in one of your driftcars?

Thanks for the sub! These are starting to roll out now. Cheers Kelvin
I'm in South Africa but I really want a Link. Hopefully 2021 shines brighter than this waste of a year and I'll have my one up and running.

We are in New Zealand. Far away from SA

Choice, will you be looking at retailing these? Is that the factory idle speed control it is able to work with?

Will it work good for turbo 1uzfe applications?
It will run a turbo fine if set up correctly and a suitable MAP sensor is fitted. Cheers Kelvin
With the spitronic, can delete de limited of my uz non vvti? He cut in 180 KM/H
Yes. Cuts can be set where you chose or be turned off

@@CartuneNZ Awesome thanks for the heads up mate
I have their early Venus model and struggled with the mercury and other model, accessing the ecu and software.
Interesting. Was it gaining access that was the issue or setting it up once in the software?

can it do VE based maps or just traditional?
Not on these, just traditional. For the price they still work well.
