Something about someone laughing in a stressful situation fucks people up. In basic we used to have a guy who would laugh in stressful situations. The drill sergeants would encircle and chew him to pieces. All he could do was laugh nervously and take it.

You can tell Rob has had a lot of therapy. Some of his insights were right on in terms of the effect of abuse over generations. I was cringing a bit for Khaylya when he said his mom had the mentality of a 12 year old because of abuse, she suffered through something similar (so did Bobby ftr).
You really can't get better than Gil for what he does. I don't know why, but this episode really accentuated Gilbit's gilbilaties. Cheers to Bobbie's consigliere!

I'm Filipino and I love Rob Schneider. I'm from SF as well and have been a fan of Rob's for a long time and Bobby as well. The story about Mai Lai was mostly correct. However when Rob said the helicopter pilot only told about the incident a year later because of guilt conscious was not entirely correct. Hugh Thompson is the name of the pilot and he was the only person there that day that decided to act and do something. He flew his helicopter between his fellow soldiers and the villagers and told his allies that if they continued murdering these people he would OPEN FIRE on his friendlies. He was the hero that day. Not a guilty conscious. The higher ups in command tried adamantly to shut him up and keep everything covered up. Thompson eventually went on 60 minutes and the news and accurately described what happened that day. It took real investigating and time to finally put a case together AGAINST the US army to show they were guilty. I appreciate this specific episode for Rob bringing up really meaningful stuff and for reminding me about stuff like Mai Lai I haven't thought about in years but I also felt it was important that minor detail was amended. Thanks, PD!
