This is exactly like the SpongeBob situation: It was announced that there was a movie, and it was also announced that the creator of the show would be leaving
Yeah, but like with SpongeBob after the first movie, it continued but from the moment season 4 started there was a shift, not a big one but a noticeable difference. I want bluey to keep going, but not to the point where the episodes are boring and bland like SpongeBob season 7-9 I don’t want the show milked for money.
There has alsoo been a theory that Brum is now stepping down from the series because his daughter is now a teenager and no longer provides real life inspiration for the series.
@@Thenormalpers0n-t5d i just hope we won't get something similar to Spongebob, where the show declines in quality and the characters get flanderized. I can already see how: -Bluey becoming too emotionally attached to her parents -Bingo becoming like a super genius -Bandit becoming a downright manchild -Chilli becoming Marge Simpson 2.0
@Chitose_ The creator said he's putting all focus on the movie so the show may still continue but the creator won't be part of the next season if they announce Season 4.
Guys, calm down- I looked at the letter. He is STEPPING AWAY, not LEAVING. He said IF he can’t wrap his head around new seasons, then it would be done- he never said that was definitive. He is hinting at the POSSIBILITY. He is just taking a break for now.
It's so sad to see Joe Brumm leave Bluey. This is just like when Stephen left SpongeBob after working on the movie and SpongeBob declined in quality after he left.
I really hope the future episode will still impress us even if Joe Brumm is stepping down WE STILL HAVE HOPE Bluey is still a good show and always will be
Bluey is a one of kind show that reminds people like me, how good kids shows were when we were little. Now I'm an adult, I never felt so happy about it.
What made Joe’s writing so powerful is that he understands the mind of children. He knows how creative their games can be, how smart they can be, and most importantly, how rewarding it can be. His episodes like “Sleepytime” reflect that. I hope his successor is someone who knows the ins and outs of parenting and will be able to infuse that same passion into Bluey.
I immensely respect creators being able to leave their show on their terms and when THEY think the time is right. It shows that they genuinely don't care about the money and are instead passionate about their creation. Stephen Hillenburg and Aaron McGruder also come to mind.
This is also like the case with Gumball, the creator Ben Bocquelet said he was leaving after season 6 when the movie was announced. This happened with SpongeBob, Gumball and now Bluey. Why is it happening with 3 different shows??? Very weird coincidence 😢
Because after a movie, you’d probably feel like you made the best content you could with your characters and you’d probably want to move on to a different project after working on that first project for so long.
I just hope this show will be in good hands from now on. It’s unfortunately rare for the TV series to keep being good and NOT become one big cash cow after its creator leaves (*cough* SpongeBob *cough cough*), but I have my hopes. This show is precious for many people out there, and if the next seasons failed, they’d probably riot, not to mention I doubt Joe himself wouldn’t do anything about his own show getting ruined. So fingers crossed for the best for the Heelers! 💙
I mean he’s not retiring he’s just focusing on the bluey movie and not so much the show and imo it’s way better than Charles martinet send off imo I still pray that one day nintendo lets Charles martinet play Mario again
Most likely to avoid seasonal rot. Most creators/writers are burnt out by the 3rd or 4th season. It's the same reason why other shows like Spongebob went downhill after the 4th season when Hillenburg stepped down
He said it himself he’s leaving the show to work on the movie. That doesn’t mean he’ll never return to the show, it just means he’s taking an extended break.
If the movie isn’t the “goodbye” for bluey, he MIGHT return once the movie is done (or just actually be done with the show, if that is, let’s hope the new leader will be just as good!)
Bluey is not ending, it's getting a movie film coming in 2027 for the next two years while the creator of the show Joe Brumm steps away & making Season 4.
Although I’m kinda sad, I’m happy the creator guy is getting the chance to finally have a well deserved rest from making the show. After all, all things have to end eventually. Also, on the bright side, at least he’s going out with a bang with the movie adaptation.
I'm worried about the Bluey movie since it's going to be generic 3D animation...unless they end up making it like the Peanuts Movie I don't have much faith in the visuals
I would get worried, but THIS is Bluey. Not something Spongebob Squarepants in the early 2000s or Thomas The Tank Engine after 2005. No matter what happens, Bluey will ALWAYS be good. Everyone on the team will still make the best stories ever written with or without the creator. This show has left a MASSIVE impact on everyone. So it's really hard to fuck this show's formula up.
Sorry to sound like an “um ackshually” here, but he’s stepping down, not leaving forever, and he did say he will come back, its just he’s taking a breather from Bluey rn
I'm a happy single and childfree by choice person but i still loveeeeee watching Bluey. I hope the show won't end up getting as bad as Spongebob did because i really really love the wholesome vibes of this show 🤞🏻.
1:36 hes not leaving the bluey series. Hes only taking a break for a while, and only focus on the movie. Its not the end of the series....yet. But it also dont mean Bluey is ending.
Definitely some deja vu when compared to Stephen Hillenburg with SpongeBob. Both wanted the best for their series, which meant giving it a proper conclusion and walking away from it while it was at a high to end the show on a high note. I REALLY hope Brumm's replacements can capture the magic that he gave, but I won't be surprised if we get another SpongeBob scenario where executives just milk the property beyond recognition in the next 10 or so years
I see many people are getting worried that Bluey is getting a “Spongebob Situation”, and that’s completely understandable. To be honest, I’m not too worried. Spongebob and Bluey have two completely different directions. Spongebob is a weird and whacky comedy, and is trying to make the viewer laugh. Bluey is a lighthearted and meaningful “life show” per se, and it has many life lessons for the viewer to learn. Now that’s not to say that Bluey *can’t* be screwed up, but since Bluey isn’t throwing jokes left and right like Spongebob is, I don’t think it’s very likely that Bluey will get so bland as quickly as Spongebob did.
The fact that the same thing happened with Stephen Hillenburg after the first SpongeBob movie released. In which he quit after the stressful times happened during the movie. The only difference is that SpongeBob is an actually good show (Also, I know someone else said this, I just thought it was interesting)
Movie? Beyond excited for! That it's CGI? I'm cautiously optimistic because I've never seen Bluey in 3D before personally, but I'm hopeful they'll make it work and it won't look bad in the slightest! Series creator stepping down from the show? I hope that in his stead, the team finds someone as faithful to his vision as he, and that Bluey doesn't go the way of the sponge.
Honestly, if Joe Brumm leaves after "The Sign" and a good Bluey movie, then that would be a good sendoff. It's nice to see a creator of a massive show not wanting to crank out episodes.
Bluey is finally getting a big screen movie, and how long have we've been waiting for that Sesame Street movie revival? I know people like Bluey, but I don't want her and her friends to become cashcows like certain other cartoons. Look at Baby Shark and how is started as an earworm into a mega franchise with TV shows, video games, and movies. Like I said before, I don't want Bluey to be a cash grab. I'm worried that the Buley Movie will be like the Paw Patrol movies, a soulless cash grab.
This is probably the scenario:
The creator of Bluey left the show to focus on the movie, possibly the series finale. I don’t know, it's possible.
So meaning season 3 as the final season of Bluey?
I hope so!
