My oldest is autistic as well . (High functioning , but it affects her learning) she is going to the 5th grade and she does get pulled for therapy including behavior because the older she got the worse it got . She does have ADhd as well so she got a lot going on lol but Houston school system has been such a big help. So many decisions was made along the way and adjusted as we went . I know Grayson will thrive !! ❤️

I wish I could enjoy every second of this pregnancy but unfortunately I spend much of my time worrying about everything from financials to health stuff…..my anxiety gets the best of me :( I wish I had a knack for something…. I know you have been where I am with the financial stress years ago…. You give me hope …. Just wanted to tell you thank you for being you and giving people like me motivation to keep trying….. you are a true Girl Boss💕
My niece goes to school for 3 days and then the other days she attends her therapy. She gets more from the therapies than she would at school with ABA ETC

My oldest has ASD and is 8 years old and going into 3rd grade. She gets pulled for OT and ST. She is in class for the learning and instruction and starts to do work and then gets pulled for 1:1 help with her Special Ed teacher. In Kindergarten we had her in Speech Therapy once a week outside of school and she graduated from that and now just does the language part at school. She has been thriving. She went to Early Childhood Learning when she was 4. Started 4K half days. Full day Kindergarten at 5. She has an October birthday. We were recommended by the neuropsychologist ABA therapy for 30 hours. We looked into it and they told us we either we had to choose public school or ABA. Sometimes there is also an option do partial kindergarten and partial ABA. It all depends on how many hours.
If he’s not going to be spending as much time in the kindergarten classroom, could you have him homeschooled online in a self contained placement? Stride online learning has self contained classrooms where he probably can qualify for 1-1 aide in kindergarten. Just an option that’s out there from a former sped teacher 😊
My 6 almost 7 yr old daughter is the same way. Super smart and mature.

You may want to double check but kinder is not required in Texas. If your child is 6, they automatically go into 1st grade. So holding him back a year wouldn’t make a difference.
