i like dungeons and taverns a lot because from what i've seen, it doesn't have super strong loot that spoils game balance. there's a lot of structure mods that make it way too easy to get lategame items super quick
i play with dnt on my vanilla saves (it has a datapack version!) and yeah it's pretty balanced! you can find some cool stuff if you know where to look, but you're more likely to find little things that help you along your way. definite S tier mod and a must-have in my opinion
Better end and nether I just can’t stand, they just change up the dimensions TOO MUCH for me, it crams too much into the nether to the point it gets annoying, and the end. . .I just do the like how different it makes it all. If there is a way to make both stuff less common I would be a bit happier
Yeah I agree though I don’t mind better nether like the Cincinnati whatever ore could be nice if u go to the nether early and the ruby works great as alternative to the other ore and as a super late game ore too but I just hate how better end did the crafting and how many useless armor sets they added
One of my favorite biome mods is ‘oh the biomes you’ll go’ and it really just adds cool new biomes to all 3 dimensions, but it feels much less stuffy especially in the nether compared to betternether, because I had that same complaint
This is a little bit bias and personal opinion based, but Better End is a beautiful mod for me, as it gave the End a unique personality, as this alien jungle type. This might be, because we only have the desolate dimension as a reference, but the wood types and furniture are really awesome for me as a builder. But Better Nether... oh my goodness. When I tested the mod I got actually infuriated at how much goddamn white noise these biomes have. Some of those are just messy and the Naga's are unbelievably annoying, as they shoot projectiles with the Wither II effect (at least on harder difficulties) with almost no cooldown. While the cincinerate whatever ore looks quite nice, the other wood types are, in my opinion, oversaturrated. I mean, the developers did already used the jungle trope on the end, why again for the Nether? So, yeah, I can totally relate.
