Very NIce !!! I am impressed with your design as well as your compassion for others such as your sister ( boy do we need this now ) ! Keep up the excellent work, good luck with your classes, job and I wish your sister well !! Purchased this from a seller that represents you since I do not have 3D printer.
This new version is great! I did slightly modify mine. It's probably fine, but I wasn't a huge fan of how the secondary trigger engaged the secondary trigger button only half way down, causing it to press at an angle. I extended the tail on the secondary trigger a few mm where it contacts the button so it presses more squarely. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this, honestly this was my only complaint with the gladiator. Also purchased the supplier license. I wish you good health and your sister a speedy recovery.
Beautiful, will be purchasing a personal license ASAP happy to support someone with the talent to design and make stuff like this and put it out there for the world to see.
@@OddJobEntertainment ?! Have you used Solid Edge (free for private use), Fusion 360, Inventor or AutoCAD? How would you compare OnShape to those? (I've used all listed)
Love it! Could you possibly look at doing a trigger for the pinky button? There's one design I'm aware of out there but I'm not a fan of it as it looks like a flat paddle you pull with your pinky. Something more Ergonomic would be nice.
Bought your design, and while I have a printer I wanted nicer ones than how the V1 came out so I sent them out. Just found it amusing that the trigger triggered their "the forbidden parts" detector.
I've just printed it and it is awesome! But I noticed in the video, and now on my own joystick, that when you press the trigger, the black trigger at the top moves as well, so I filed the inner part of the trigger so that it stops rubbing on the black trigger. And the second issue that I have is that the part that pushes the secondary button is 2 or 3mm shorter than the original, making barely able to push the button. This size difference may be due to a different joystick version, I bought it a couple months ago.
I actually did try a version with a slight extension on the end, but it led to some instability with actuation where you couldn't press only the first trigger.. Shortening it back up worked better.
It will certainly look and feel the best with minimal work. A number of users have already shown great results with FDM, but to get the same smooth surface would require a lot more work.
I bet this is how ole dude felt trying to tell people he invented a car. "I get that your horse can run through the briar patch, Jimbob. That aint my point though" 😂
I'd have to have a GF (gunfighter) to do my work. I'm not in a position to justify that much money on joysticks right now. I'm also more focused on finding a GF (girlfriend) for myself lol.
@ oh, I’ve seen that; what I meant to add was that you have a great deal of knowledge on 3d printing that I would appreciate if you would share in future videos as well
@OddJobEntertainment I'll have to pop one of mine open to compare. My left stick grip is the Kosmosima space combat grip, which at least has the same exterior form factor, so I assume that one would be the same. My right though is the MCG so quite possibly different.
and you are totally welcome to do that. Having made both of them, I have no intentions of removing anyone's access to V1. V2 just offers a way to support myself (well, my sister really) and a clear pathway for people to provide it as a product with a clear licensing plan.
I probably will too. I really like the fact that your finger sits right between the trigger parts, so I can activate both triggers accurately at exactly the same time. But I might still buy this for the cause.
RUclips seems to delete any comments with any detail at all about another youtuber who has a solution for the problem you mention (not wanting to deal with logistics yourself).

Purchased and going to be printing it as soon as my current print finishes! I’ve wanted this feature for ages
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks buddy, wishing your sister a speedy recovery and will be watching for v4, or your next genius mod...;)

@@OddJobEntertainment Already did but thank you!
Nice engineering Odd! Excellent ingenuity.
Now I need this on my Virpls
I reached out, and I was denied. I'll try again in the future. I can't afford them myself outright.

HELL YES paid and DOWNLOADED instantly
Used to work for onshape. Glad to see it out in the wild. Great job.
I wish they'd sponsor me. I've totally switched to onshape from Solidworks. I love the software.

Great work man, this is awesome. I'll have to print this out.

no promises, but maybe at some point i can look at that

Huh, that is interesting. I hope you were still able to get them made.
This is such a nice way to help out your sister!
I would love to catch one of your streams one day
Thank You.
You got me! I was like, why's dude in the kitchen....
For as much effort as that shot took, I'm surprised it doesn't get mentioned more. Glad I could make you smile.
Great work. Subed at the supplier level. Too bad my resin printer just broke. Will have to make due with the X1C.
At least the X1C is a solid printer.
@OddJobEntertainment a work horse for sure

Yup
FuManTwo
love it
Fu Man Chu trigger kinda has a ring to it 😂
Really neat!
Thanks! I'm happy with how it turned out.
Is the Gladiator trigger the same mechanically as the Gunfighter?
Yes, but the geometry is different
@@OddJobEntertainmentany chance of you doing a version compatible with the GF?
I'd have to have a GF (gunfighter) to do my work. I'm not in a position to justify that much money on joysticks right now. I'm also more focused on finding a GF (girlfriend) for myself lol.
@ haha. Fair enough. If I had access to STEP files of the VKB, I’d do it myself, but don’t have the time to draw those up currently.
I Need this for winwing ursa minor
I wish you included in the video why annealing the 3-D print was important and not to attempt to do this in an oven that you cook food in
Well, it was just a gag. It was a spoof on Jensen Huang's Nvidia presentation from a few years ago.
You seriously need to get a life!
@ oh, I’ve seen that; what I meant to add was that you have a great deal of knowledge on 3d printing that I would appreciate if you would share in future videos as well
Anyone have any idea if these will work with the VKB gunfighter II?
I highly doubt it. The trigger geometry would need to be identical.

Nah I'll just continue to use the perfectly fine and FREE v1 version thank you
