I appreciate your effort to help people get into the industry, but I have to point out many things you convey incorrectly. Mainly because it spreads misinformation. To start it off. The pipeline you describe at the start is completely out of wack. Even if you are an animator, player animation and sound effects as well as would building comes in mid production. Ideation is the 1st step, and system generation the 2nd. Once all core mechanics of the game are done, eg. In case of a shooter game, player movement, gun mechanics (shooting, reloading etc), enemy mechanics, etc are completed. Then comes the game polish or whatever you go on to describe in the video. If you're an indie dev, which means you'll be taking on multiple roles during the project, things like these take a long time to produce. And if you're a working professional, in a game studio. You'll still be expected to do these things while someone else works on 3D models or animation, vica versa. Secondly, you make it sound too easy. The truth is, game dev is tough fun. It can be very rewarding solving a programmer problem you've been stuck on for days. And when people play test your game to give you feedback. But between these are huge stretches of dread and despair as you struggle going through documentation and and fourms trying to figure out things! Even with formal training, coming across something new can be daunting to say the least. I would still urge people interested to try developing games, like I said the process is actually immensely satisfying. And thrid, you say there's a lot of money to be made (easily) in the industry. This is where I need to call out you BS the most. From what I understand, it's just a lack of research on your part. But it's very misleading to people who watch your videos. This is a very competitive industry, where funding is hard to come by, especially here in India. Making games is no joke and the cost of production is very high. Marketing plays a huge role in your games success and if done incorrectly can crush the most amazing game ever made. In an industry where launch dates are decided based on when the competition is releasing their game, you cannot claim that people will make crores easily. In the end I'd just say to anyone reading this till the end. Do your own research. If you looked up this video I know you're on the right path. Look for better informed RUclips channel and don't settle for this BS. Extra credit is a channel I and millions other constantly vouch for. And depending on what you actually decide to do in the industry, there's a lot more you can find. It's a starting off point. All the very best to you and gl!

game designers are responsible for creating the rules and player experience of a game. say snake and ladder - concept of dice roll, concept of going up using a ladder, concept of coming down due to a snake, distribution of both of these in the map and their frequency these form the design of snakes and ladders. how a snake is drawn is an artist's job, if the snake and ladders was a computer game then the code for implementing these rules are a developers job.

Dipanshu Soni well it depends on what you want your role to be in the industry, I would highly recommend watching extra credit's playlist on the matter, it explains every job in the industry and will help you narrow down what exactly it is that interests you in this field. After you have decided on a specific discipline, you can further research on what you need to do in order to learn it. Hope this helps!

There's a lot more than you think, just look for them on LinkedIn and you'll find a lot of small studios based in metros like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi etc. If you have the time and money, I would highly recommend attending igs(Indian game show) hosted by Nodwin Gaming each year. It's usually each Feb and entry is free, but you'll have travel and stay expenses. But there you'll find a lot of small studios showing off there games with big companies like Ubisoft, sumo games etc also looking for talent. It's a great place to make connections and get your foot in the door! Hope this rant helps.
