Matt sent a text to Mitch asking about for more detail on happened to his spare ball, and this was Mitch's response:
"I was shooting a 2 pin the last game first block yesterday and it came back and packy said "you're not going to like this". Must've hit the pin funny or a piece of loose machinery"

Lol I had a similar story. Watching packy was what really was my turning point for bowling, I had a summer pass to an alley, I bought a cheap used urathane ball. I was trying 1 handed, 2 handed, thumb in, thumb out, just trying to hook it. I could average over 100 straight, I was 40s hooking it. I really looked at packys form and tried to copy every last detail (I definitely didn't) but I finally shot a 128, it has kinda clicked. Spent more time teaching myself, watching pros, and in the alley, studied gear and getting better. A few months later for my birthday I got some balls I had studied up on.
After 7 months (and a change from bent elbow to straight elbow) I am no longer averaging 40, I'm actually averaging 4 times that, I've won 2 youth tournaments, competed in 4, and I've now shot a 237 and 3 other 200s.
Packy if by some miracle you see this my bowling is all thanks to you, if I wouldn't have seen your form I very well could have gave up, glad I didn't. Your my bowling hero, keep up the good work, I can't thank you enough.

I monitored the live scoring feature from Lanestalk and the PBA website. The Malott father and son bowled well today in the third round of qualifying 6 game block led by Wes Malott's back to back 300 games on an exact series of 800 and at least 27 strikes in a row and more if Wes finished the first game (200 score) with a strike(s) .Each Malott qualified for the singles elimination match play competition while Packy and Mitch missed the singles cut. It will not be easy for Packy and Mitch as they are the doubles 16th seed. The team of O'Neill and Belmonte qualified 1st for the doubles round robin match play.

Rooting for Hupe/Hanrahan title win for doubles. I hate that they are trying to combine tournaments in this event and eliminating some events. For instance, the event that Bill won last year was not held this year. Watching it all on BowlTV. Would also love to see Keven or Boog win it all as well.

How do the PBA doubles pairings work? Is it just "Hey wanna be my partner?" Or is there more to it?

@TheHouseBowling I was just wondering because i figured EJ would partner with his brother unless when he formed his team his brother wasn't on tour yet and he doesn't want to break the chemistry he has with his current teammate now. Stuff like that.

How does the scoring work like when they finish a day and someone is at +245 how does that work? Never seen a behind the scenes stuff like this before watching packey.
The scores are relative to 200. So if 10 games are bowled, and you shoot 2000, you are even. If you had a total of 2245, you are +245

Hey Matt. These videos are well put together and quite entertaining. However, why do you wear the backwards cap? It really looks weird. The giant eyeglasses are also a bit distracting but maybe you need that much surface area to see all those pins go down! Keep up these videos.
