@@uniquevision6929so question…I purchased the 130W version of this light (MS150b) and I agree they get pretty bright, but I’ve noticed on all of my units (I purchased four of them)…the power output is about 1-1/2 stop less when using NPF batteries (I use Sony NPF-980) versus when plugged into mains. I thought this was just one light but it seems to be the case on all of them. It’s not a dealbreaker because it still gets pretty bright even with the loss of light with batteries but it is something I brought to Neewer’s attention and they said they would pass it along to their R&D team for review. Have you had the same issue with the MS60b version?
dope review .. ive been looking for lights like this .. the godox ml 60 are nice but $1200+ for 4 is a lil pricey. Neewer Products have been stepping up in quality and reliability. BTW your photography work is fire.. just from those quick pics you showed in this video. 💪
I always bring lights to weddings..even if I can only use them at low intensity. I have a Godox ML60bi and I like it a lot for sure. I may need a second COB light. I see this Neewer MS60B bi and they look very similar but the Neewer is a lot cheaper-almost $100 in Canada. Has anyone been able to compare them? Are they very similar? does the Neewer really have a bowen adapter? and I guess it comes in a nice bag. thanks so much for the video!
This compact light is interesting. I have some doubts: does the COB LED disc come with protective glass to avoid insects and scratches? If the power is cut off while it is on, and then the power is turned on again, will it still be on? If I place it more than 3 meters high I wouldn't want to have to go up to turn it on every time I turn off all the lighting in the studio...
I have a question the reflectors that was on the continuous light Neewer are they better as projecting the light, farther and wider, compared to what the reflector you were holding in your hand?
Thanks my guy! Have you tried the reflectors that come with the, yet? Im also photo first. Doing a wedding video on the 22nd and got these just for that. I also have a small rig 120b.
No problem. I've only tested them at home in a large room and they're definitely a stop or two brighter but also the light is a lot more narrow. I prefer the setup that I have because for speeches people move/walk around while speaking and I could see them moving to far away from the light because how narrow it is. But again the reflectors that come with it have a brighter output.
@@uniquevision6929 I figured it would be narrower. I also bought the diffusers that look like the magma style, but made by neweer. See how that fairs. Should be a nice 360 or 180 look

UPDATE-Hi there. I just got the MS60B because sometimes I MUST use Sony batteries in locations I don't get access to AC- I tested the light and I'm pretty sure I noticed that the light dims a bit/much when I go from AC to battery power. Is this how the light was designed? to dim a bit when going from AC to battery? is this to protect the light? I also got a Godox ML60 bi and I tested it with AC and the same Sony batteries and I think the power output with batteries stayed almost the same as with AC...am I imagining things? Have you used the light with both AC and batteries? Thanks
NP-F batteries limit the maximum power to 44W when using with NEEWER MS150B 130W Bi Color ... I presume that it will be the same with MS60B and even worse because it will lower the maximum power :(
Bro, you're filming weddings and the sound is like this? The wedding footage in this video looks great, but you have to work on the sound
Thanks For the feedback!
Great review. I may get these for wedding receptions
Yes these lights are A1

It does come with a protective glass and you can turn the lights on and off with the cell phone app
@@uniquevision6929 OK, thanks for your answer. But, can be turned the light ON with the app just after switch OFF-switch ON de power adapter?
No the switch has to be turned on. From there you can turn the lights on or off from your app

I don't think they're better as far as projecting light farther because it is a bigger modifier but definitely wider!!
Just bought mine today. Got a great deal on Amazon

What light stands do you suggest for these
Good C-stands with wheels. But used weights because people will definitely bump into them .
@@uniquevision6929 I was looking to buy a variable pole for lighting seen a lot of film makers starting to use that
Would they be good for filmmaking? Making a Movie? Thanks need some good aperture lights and Amazon has these lights on sale for $100
Yes!!
Do your light have brightness difference when using battery and AC?
@kaisenyao345 I did a basic test here at home and I saw no difference when using the power cord vs the battery
Why my ms60b has brightness weakness when using battery. Sad.
Not Sure Maybe The Battery Power Output. But i'm Not Sure@@kaisenyao345
Im going to do more test late in the week. @@kaisenyao345

Thanks. I noticed that too. I dont see the same issue with the Godox. I may still keep the Neewer light. It's a good price.
Anyone noticed the couple isnt really crossing their arms at 6:08 ? 🤣🤣
hi, thanks for the video! what bowen's mount reflectors are you using instead of the one's that came in the original package?
if not sure of the model, do you know the size? are they 7" or 10" reflectors?
@@BryanMiraflor 7 inch I'm 99% sure. The reflectors came with my neewer vision 5 strobe lights.
