Sprucing up the back porch with some tropical flavor. Today I will attempt to add some much needed color to our porch just in time for some guests to arrive.
The key is that you're happy in life! Stay happy and don't get stressed out. Enjoy each moment you can be in your garden and with family. The pots look great!🌿
We are so happy that you are alright. You did a fantastic job on those pots. I would recommend you along with a few of the other neighbors, knock on the door of the undesirable loud neighbor and say you want to welcome them to the neighborhood and then ask them to control the volume of their music and the hours in which they blast it. You may have luck with a group of you making this request. I have learned if you wait for others to complain it won’t happen. ❤
Just watching this again, Mark because I find your channel so refreshing and informative. Looking forward to spring to see what you post and for the new bulbs and shrubs I have planted. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
We missed you! I figured it was work related. You did mention in one of your videos that you might not be available in the future to film. Those planters came out so good! 🙌🏼
So glad to see you again and more pretty pot combos! And thank you for sharing how someone with a hectic schedule contends with their garden. This is real for so many of us and life is always a matter of choosing priorities. Take care of yourself, and enjoy your loved ones and friends. We will be here when you have time to share more of the garden!
Mike, the planters turned out beautifully, and they look great on your deck. I also love to add houseplants and decor to my outdoor planters which gives them a unique look that no one else in my neighborhood does. Your landscaping is beautiful. I'm glad to hear that everything is okay with you and your family. We'll be here to enjoy your videos whenever you are able to post them. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. ~Margie🤗💐🦋🐝
Glad to know you all are doing great and you're just very busy. Hopefully many more to come in the next months and years! Every spring and summer I am really looking forward to them, keep it up, you guys are awesome!
That's beautiful!! You are so creative, I enjoy what you do and get a lot of ideas that I've implemented in my own flower gardens! Thank you for having this site! SE Pennsylvania
Beautiful Pots! Uggh, we've got a proliferation this year! I'm in Zone 6, Paris suburbs! They hang out in my potted veggies and just everywhere! I'm seriously thinking of making a huge screen for my yard😅!
We understand. Beautiful arrangement. I’m in the country of Panama and that gives me an area for my patio in our new home. Off to the vivero ( garden center).
I am amazed how you get out so many videos with the hectic work schedule you have! We love you out here, just anxious to see what you do next. Will be on the lookout for the next video when you have time. Take care!
Thank you and your wife for sharing you time with other. We can see your heart in your gardening. I was recovering from chemo and surgery when I came across your videos. You inspired me to get up and start working in the garden again. So many of your designs I have used. Isn’t that your all about ,to help others. Just do a voice over when the neighbors are crazy We get it.
You've been missed. Yes, the heat and humidity here in SC has been worst than usual. Watering the flower and veggie garden has produced voluminous sweat.
I allow my houseplants to dry out completely before I water them; maybe once every couple weeks; they grow more in summer leafy plants I water maybe once a week to week and half. Some I had 6-7 years.
Hey life happens. Not going to complain if you haven’t posted for a minute. I get it. The planters look beautiful. Exactly the look I want on my patio. I never would have thought of house plants outside but I am definitely going to try this. I love the planters. Thanks for your inspiration.
My whole garden could use a sprucing up. I like the houseplant idea to leave them in their original pots!!! I like to get up before the neighborhood wakes up to garden and tape. great vid
You're amazing!!❤ Know that. Anyway, its so hot outside, this is the best time for most gardeners to get into container planting. New ones and maintaining the older ones. Take care, tell your wifee, she's awesome and enjoy your friends as we come upon the end of summer.
When i had difficult neighbor, I placed a note on their car, they were receptive. My neighbor mailed a letter to a nuisance neighbor,it seemed to help.
So glad you have something you can do to relax and enjoy bringing beauty to everyone! Your family is so supportive love it for you guys! Happy no one sick or injured and it was just family fun and work! Love love love the pots!!
Welcome back! I looked for your updates just the other day. Your new neighbors sound like a nuisance! 🧐 I had such a neighbor that played music for the neighborhood during Covid times. Fortunately he has since moved as he was a renter... 😆
🌸I love your garden! I’d be happy with a tour set to your music overdubbed rather than waiting for your neighbor to grow manners😂good neighbors are a blessing; bad ones are a curse.
Happiness is key! Glad to have a new video and see the garden but I hope you don’t feel any stress in doing so. We’ll still be here on your journey. Oh, and personally I love sleeping through a thunder storm, but my pup is a bundle on nerves so I’m usually soothing her.
I’m glad you are well. Please have a conversation with your neighbors about the loud music, they need to know and practice the neighborly rules: BE KIND TO YOUR NEIGHBORS! BE RESPECTFUL and NO LOUD MUSIC!
That sucks about the rude neighbors. If I wasn't living on a small urban lot I would be going all out on the yard, I still got the most in ground plants in the neighborhood but I could do so much more. Its the space and I need to be more spread out away from people. One day I will get a bigger lot and hopefully you get one soon too. I have been lucky my immediate neighbors don't leave there dogs out side for long. They did bless me with countless plastic piece scraps and all kind of debris in my garden from their fireworks show.
Your gardening is always such an inspiration. I just recently watched your videos on the trees in your garden. May I ask, about how wide are the areas on each side of your home? I absolutely LOVE how it looks but my side yards are quite narrow between me and my neighbors. Looking forward to your next video!
Mosquitos are pollinators and an important food source for birds and amphibians. The exaggerated fear was fanned by post WWII chemical developments, and the idea people had back then that eradicating an entire species could be good for humans, leaving the planet's health out of the equation. We should all chill a little on the mosquito issue, and let them be for the benefits they provide wildlife.
The key is that you're happy in life! Stay happy and don't get stressed out. Enjoy each moment you can be in your garden and with family. The pots look great!🌿
Your body of work stands for itself. If you never make another video, the ones you have made have been super helpful and enjoyable !
The pots are looking great🌻. You have been missed! But totally understand🌻🌻
The pots look great as does the whole garden. Don’t stress about videos we will always be here when they appear. Cheers 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺Bronwyn
Those are gorgeous-as pretty as any I have seen. You have a great eye.

Your not alone, St. Louis is like the mosquito capital. We had a lot of rain and the plants are loving it.
The pots look great!

That is a beautiful arraignment! You definitely have an eye for gardening. 🍃💗🍃

Hey Mike how's it going? Hope all is ok.

QUESTION: How did you secure your metal circle that your brother did for you? I would think it is heavy?
Glad to see you back😀

You can do voice overs. Lots of yt videos have voice overs. Tfs cheers
I’m in Springfield just a few hours south of you. If you are ever down this way come see our botanical gardens here it’s a beautiful place !
Miss seeing an update!
Love your inspiring videos. What ever happened to you? Make a come back.
If you aren’t going to take the plants out of the pots why use potting soil at all? It just makes the pot heavier. I’d use mulch in there.

When mosquito season arrived, I wiped peppermint oil on my wrists, underarms and waist. They don't like the smell.
Great idea!@@susanlowell4759
