  • D1:
Baseball programs in the NCAA Division 1 are permitted to award a total of 11.7 athletic scholarships, which may be distributed among a maximum of 27 players. A D1 player who is receiving financial aid must get at least 25% of the total cost of attendance. Tuition, fees, books, room, and board are all covered by a full scholarship.
    D2:
There is a cap of 9 athletic scholarships that NCAA D2 baseball programs may award, which may be distributed among players as the coach sees fit. Tuition, fees, books, room, and board are all included in the whole scholarship package.
    D3:
NCAA Division 3 does not offer financial assistance or scholarships based on athletic performance. However, a lot of D3 institutions can cleverly bundle different types of financial help to significantly lower the cost of attendance for student-athletes. Make sure you conduct your research before excluding D3 programs since they don't offer scholarships. There are D3 programs that promise to cover all students' substantiated financial needs. These are mainly based on academic money and other external scholarships the school sets up for you.
    NAIA:
In the NAIA schools are permitted to provide up to 12 athletic scholarships, which may be distributed among players as the coach sees fit. NAIA also offers an abundance of academic scholarships to assist you even further. A complete scholarship pays for all of the student expenses, athletes' including tuition, required fees, books, and supplies for the courses they are enrolled in, as well as housing and board calculated according to the official allowance listed in the school's catalog.
