17:15 I am highly disappointed that Zephrys didn't offer Jaraxxus... He's below 15 HP, has an 11/11 taunt and only an opposing 3/3 that he can kill with a minion on board, and he's got 0 mana while going into 9 mana next turn. The opponent is even one of the few decks that don't run Zephrys themself, so no sac pact leathals, and he's got a full hand so warlock hero power isn't _that_ useful right now. Literally everything was set up perfectly for a Jaraxxus next turn, but healing touch for 1 more health next turn is offered instead :( I wonder if he would have gotten it if he traded before using Zephrys.
For anyone thinking of building a reno deck with duplicates... The odds of at least 1 pair being in the bottom half is (4^x-3^x)/4^x where x is the number pairs of duplicates. Putting 3 pairs in that is how you know he has a 58% chance to have not activated zephrys by his 15th draw. Another example: with 6 pairs, that's 18%...
@@Bl4ckDr4co 15 cards is 11-12 in-game draws and would often be on turn 9-ish. Playing Alextraza on 9 is VERY strong if you're not horribly behind on the board. I was confused why you wouldn't play the Phaoris at the end, but I understand now. If you hold off on the Phaoris, and then play it when you're opponent has a board (i.e. after they played the temple enforcer), then the Priest would have had to plague of death their own board. I thought he was crazy for not playing it at the time, but lol it actually was probably right to hold it back.
He also could have played it much earlier, limiting the chances that the priest had drawn the plague in time. But instead he chose to play Phaoris at the worst possible time lol. He didn’t get value from the priest destroying his own board and he made sure that the priest had drawn it by that point
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with Trump on this one. He said Snip Snip Snap Snap whilst playing two single SN1P-SN4Ps. In my opinion a double stacked SN1P-SN4P is Snip Snip Snap Snap whereas two single SN1P-SN4Ps is Snip Snap Snip Snap.

huh, it's kind of an interesting idea, a control deck that essentially plans to draw almost the whole deck so that it can then play its singleton finishers at the end
Jonathan that’s how I interrupted the mechanic in the first place- play those cards very late. Instead I guess they wanted unique decks. I think Chump likes to have his highlander package in decks with 5+ duplicates since tempoing them out as vanilla minions isn’t terrible and if you draw Alexstraza as your last card you’re looking pretty good.
This deck wrecks anything if you don't misplay and don't draw reeeeeally bad. I just replaced Snip Snap, Zilliax, Thalmos and Brightwing with Twisted Knowkedge (so versatile; most of the time it gives useful stuff), Silence Owl (prefer it instead of Spellbreaker because it's lower cost), Boompistol Bully (I mean, Zilliax is better but he's getting rotated and this card is strong AF against quest shaman and Galakrond in general), Badluck Albatross (good stats, savage against other highlanders) and chaos Gazer (made people just burn their cards or play shit like Galakrond not fully invoked). Either way, I would have only kept Thalmos because he's just so versatile, and, of course, Zilliax, but he's rotating out in April so no need to craft him and, honestly, he's never been a game changer for my opponents, except Mech Pally, which is where its rightful logical place is anyway.

I mean, it's not even that bad. Warlock can cycle fast enough for Zeph and Alex to be active in a duplicate deck (which is why they are run in Galakrond Warlock anyway).
Zephrys makes me really glad I don't play HS anymore. I mean he makes for some cool youtube moments, but I can't imagine staring down an opponent and knowing they could have The Perfect Card in hand ready to go.
Zephrys always find lethal but if you play him on an empty board he pretty much always gives you Tyrion. He can read the game well, but not, THAT well. He can only ever really respond to the board and to health totals.
I mean, I keep Alextrasza Dragonqueen in my embiggen/dragon deck. It's fun to drop down a 12/12 and her free buddies after exhausting all my dream portals.
Probability is about 41% to have a highlander deck 15 cards in (with 3 starting duplicates). Quite a bit lower than 50. It gets up to 70% 20 cards in though. Wait, I didn't account for mulligan.
Accounting for the mulligan boosts it to about 50%. Assume he mulligans 2 cards per game (which is low, it's probably more like 2.3-2.5). Assuming he never mulligans a duplicate, that effectively means by the 15th draw, he's drawn 17 cards out of a 32 card deck. The probability that both copies of a duplicated card are in the last 15 cards is (15/32)(15/32) = 21.97%. So the probability at least one of those cards is in the first 17 is 78.0%, and the chance at least 1 of each of the 3 duplicated cards is in the first 17 cards is (0.780)^3 = 47.5%. And like I said, he probably mulligans a little more than 2 cards per game.
How can people have fun playing that priest deck? Every game takes 20 minutes and you barely win or just straight up lose to decks with more value or better tempo.
