+thefrenzee ee Listen to Scattered Clouds. i guess their guitarist is the one who did some of the Fairfield Circuitry demo clips. they have a great album out ("The First Empire").
Really love your work, sonically and visually. Awesome looking pedals and, judging by the spec sheets, an incredibly keen attention to detail. All of that and now after listening to this demo I want a guitar lesson from you guys too, wtf? Please keep em coming, can't wait to get some of these in my chain.
Wow, it sounds so beautifull!! A kind of compressor/sustainer/overdrive pedal in the future would be awesome, 'couse you guys build some of the most great sounding pedals ever, so much CHARACTER. By the way what kind of overdrive are you using in this demo? There are other pedals involved or this is just guitar/comp/amp?
Guillaume: I'll admit I was doubtful that this would make my board, but after that fingerpicking demo, I must have it! It will be joining my already full Fairfield board, alongside my Randy's Revenge v1&2, Four-Eyes and Barbershop. I'm really excited about the size of this one too. Will Lauzon be taking pre-orders for these or just through your site?
This sounds interesting. Can you make a demo where you use it on a whole mix? What are the input/output, noisefloor and volume knob specs in dB? Does it take line level input? What is the exact frequency response?
+Goth108 We don't have those specs off hand and they wouldn't compare to professional studio compressors. Pedals run on 9V adapters which imposes certain restraints with regard to dynamic range and noisefloor. That said, it'll work in an insert with a bit cleverness. Whether or not you dig the sound is a question of taste. It's a good idea though to post a video showing what it does to a mix, or a submix, or even in line on different instruments....
profd65 actually it’s real. I reached out to the Fairfield Circuitry support team and that’s who told me who the guitarist was. he is the brother of the owner of Fairfield Circuitry. He plays in a few bands and is really good. “Fairfield is a name that comes up a few times in the music corners of Hull. Olivier’s brother Guillaume runs Fairfield Circuitry, an industry-acclaimed pedal manufacturer that lends its powerful effects to bands all over the world.” It’s not fake, it’s just a foreign name. www.google.com/search?q=olivier+fairfield&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgVuLWz9U3MDQ0rTQxyXvE6M4t8PLHPWEpu0lrTl5jtODiCs7IL3fNK8ksqRTS4mKDshS4-KWQ9WkwSPFyIQvw7GLiyC9LLSrLTC0HAJLSlmpkAAAA&ictx=1&ved=2ahUKEwjM2Z7A7_jeAhXIFjQIHWLyAYkQyNoBKAB6BAgNEBM
@@modularmountain3910 I like his playing, what I'm saying is it sounds like a fake name. Here you have blatantly French first names attached to "Fairfield"? That's odd. I guess if the right people marry incongruently named children can result.
profd65 ahhhh. At first I thought, “Oh, ok. So the pedal company is owned and operated by a cult of people who all changed their last name to Fairfield.” Then I found a blog talking about how it’s actually a three person Canadian psychedelic band. Finally I found the interview the explained everything. It’s been a long weird process to finding out who this person is when all Fairfield Circuitry had to do was elaborate in their email just a little bit, but nooo. They only send names as responses.
Why the hell did you label everything incorrectly? If the ratio is 6:1 IT SHOULD SAY 6. Your pedals sound fantastic. I really dig the look and vibe. Just my two cents...
nice, but not awesome.. very versatile - that is cool, but not very transparent and probably too small to use comfortably.. i like the way this guy do, but unfortunately haven't find anything for myself yet from fairfield. keep going this way man
I've been using this compressor for a while now and I can't relate at all to your comments about size and transperency. From all the companies making compressors in a pedal format this one is probalby the one with the most capabilities of being tranparent i've heard. It has both extremes, compressor as a wild effect or very subtile setting. I'm surprise...Have you even try it?
I have a hard time figuring out when watching these demos if I actually want your pedals or if the music you play is just absolutely incredible...

I think the answer is, "yes."
both

I promise to buy this pedal if you tell me the tuning / chords at 1:18.
same
Woah, I usually like my guitar music smooth and bluesy, but this eerie "b-movie soundtrack" type stuff sounds really cool!
synth demo please !
Lauzon will surely have some in stock soon. Pre-orders are only through our website. Send us a picture of that board yo!
Im making a small board featuring Shallow Water and Black Ash (in memory of Paradise) as a couple of main staples.
It reminds me a lot of the Teletronix LA-2A
+Daniel Blanco That's quite a compliment!
I Love your stuff. amazing work

I want two!
What amp were you guys using ?
This pedal is now on the list! Great video, and dig the creepy tunes!
+Distant Field Productions Sweet! Happy to hear that.
I have that pedal and oh boy it sounds GOOOOOOD
Sounds great!
I do feel it add some kind of presence, which it makes me wonder if i will like it or not...
Did you use other pedals with the last sound sample? (the doomy one)
I don't believe they did. It sounds like maybe they switched pickups or starting hitting strings with something other than a pick.

who is the guitar player?
They use a gentlemen named Olivier Fairfield or at least they did on the Shallow Water demo.

very cool
are you using single coils or humbuckers ??
Can i use it like treble booster?
It doesn’t have a frequency adjustment so I’m going to assume not.
More a sustainer than a compressor right?

Excellent, thank you. Question: where in the signal chain would you put this compressor for best placement?
I'd put it at the front of the chain, but it's really a question of preference.
