Albuquerque NM USA I'm 60 yrs old both parents may they RIP) are Hispanic as a child I spoke Spanish as a matter of fact my siblings and I helped my mother speak English ..then as I grew up Spanish speaking in public schools was discouraged..my Father spoke 4 languages he learned in the Army he was in WWII ... obviously I am very proud of that and eventually I too would like to learn other languages .. anyhow you know the saying 'use it or lose it ' well I'm no longer fluent with my Spanish speaking so I would like to learn to become fluent once again so Thank You I'm sure you can help me so I subscribed..to be honest it's rather embarrassing to not be fluent in Spanish as a Spanish person but I have never made the time now I'm retired so I have plenty of spare time 😁
It's never too late. What's more, if you mother spoke with you in Spanish s a baby, that means Spanish was your first language. It is only dormant at the moment .Howver, it's all a matter of refreshing your memory. I know about 2 girls who were in the same situation as you. They started learning Spanish and visited Chile for 3 months. They are fluent once again! Keep up the good work. You can get it back. Saludos :)

Estoy de Ustados Unidos pero vivo en Panama para un ano y dos meses. Estudio Español cada dia. Usar Duolingo a estudiar. No hablar bien pero entiendo (cuando hablas despacio), escribo y leo.
