I like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, they are a decent band, but they don't really fit the mystical adventure vibe of this anime. I think this song is much better for that, but that being said the other openings aren't bad.
Agreed, this intro is by far superior, and same goes this Anime. I grew up watching, and having the entire series of Soul Hunter on disc collection, and I've watched it so many times. I, personally due to watching and growing up with the Soul Hunter Anime, find it even superior to the manga, but the manga is a close second. I don't find the new anime, Hakyuu Houshin Engi, much enjoyable, as I see it as remaking the original anime but more along the lines of the manga.
People used to hate this version for straying away from the manga and completely ignoring important plot details, but to be honest, this version is way better than the 2018 one, which is rushed to the point of becoming complete shit.
