@@spacequack5470 they have a base salary which every pro wrestler gets. They are responsible for taking care of everything as they are independent contractors. If a wrestler is hurt and can’t make live appearances, they don’t get paid! If you’re out too long the wrestlers merch sales suffer and if it’s too long, people forget and they move nothing! Ryback was never a massive merch mover or a big draw. If he was the moment he left wwe someone would have picked him up. See these conversations are kinda bullshit because as an independent contractor you get reimbursed for travel expenses, meals and other things when you file your taxes. It’s so disingenuous that they never mention that.
Nathaniel Baxter dude you can write all of that off on your taxes. Food, fuel, car rentals, lodging. You just have to keep recites and itemize. You’re a clueless fucking idiot but a simple DuckDuckGo search would help you not look like a fool. Try it

I heard him make an argument once about merch that was smart but nothing since . In the old days babyfaces bought their gimmicks to sell and if they were smart business men they gave the heels they were programmed with a small taste . That encouraged the heels to keep putting them over . Ryback made a poorly worded argument for something similar in WWE ....at least that is what I thought he meant . I couldn't be exactly sure but I try to put people in their best light .
150k on road expenses isn't a lot of money. In a normal job where your in the same town or city as your job it would be a ton of money, but assume for a moment that they are gone 300 days of the year. So 300 days: 150-200 on hotels each night 45-60,000 40-50 on food 12-15,000 150 on gas every day - 45,000 That alone is 100k-120k before taxes and everything else. Also consider they are getting flights to venues they can't drive to, drinks, and sending money home to take care of their families. That easily hits the 150k mark even before you add in hobbies and the like. If your on the main roster bare minimum it should be 250k(based on how much you are used obviously).
No to mention the fact that now you can get hotel and airfare plus rental cars for a low price. My mother is a travel agent so this is coming from her, however with all the traveling he does why not look into getting something like that. He could have purchased a package where all of that will be included. This is not the bloody 80's give me a break.
Ryback was literally all look. He was the 80's inspired "wrassler." He was a vaudeville act essentially; you can only push that so long before people get over it. He literally was a reincarnation of The Ultimate Warrior and every other cliche wrestler of the past. Small moveset, quick matches, big muscular physique, rage induced promos, etc.
No that isnt what I said what I said was Ryback was a poor knock off of the stereotypical wrestler from the 80's. In the 80's they were gold, but when someone overembelishes them it's terrible. Also that isnt me in my profile pic....
They did for the most part you're going to tell me people like hogan and warrior had vast movesets with extended matches? But in that time with the sincerity of it it was great ryback was not great

I saw him in my gym wearing a Brooklyn shirt. Had no idea at all who he was and asked him if he was from NYC? Said "No" but he's been there a million times and was given the shirt
Anyone know where that image of Jim came from? I see it all the time but cannot remember if it was a match or if it was a promo he did that face. Anyone know?
Hotel room at most - 180/day Food at most- 100/day Car at most-100/day including gas So almost 400 bucks a day hes not far off but who knows how he is traveling prolly 1st class nicest cars best hotel rooms and fanciest restaurants
I think the hotel would be 250 at least. I mean if you're being seen on raw pretty much every week your not gonna wanna stay at the Ramada and you're in big cities not cheap ass nowhere towns
Wrestlers work about 200 days a year so multiply that by your figure of $400 a day and it comes up to $80,000 annually for their own travel expenses. This means that Ryback is spending nearly twice what a typical wrestler would pay for on travel...and he has the gall to complain about it. He must think he works for WCW circa late 90's and is worthy of earning a seven figure salary.
@@darinlunderman8063 he is in the 7 figures from just doing podcast and promoting his supplement company so in hindsight he is right, it not worth killing himself for 6 figures paycheck.
@@demoth The point is, Ryback dares to feel indignant about intentionally spending more money than he should have when he could have simply managed his money better and got what he needed...rather than what he wanted. Nobody made him spend his alleged figure of $150,000 but he'd rather fault the WWE for it than accept responsibility for his own damn habits. Making more money in other ventures just seems to have him doubling down on his entitled mindset. Some guys in wrestling give and have gave more than him but made less money and got less lasting-success out of it. If he "killed" anything, its his own image.
Owen and Foley spending the least amount on the road is smart but having other people buy your meals for you and catching rides with other people so you don't spend any money is like I said can be seen as smart but its also being a dead beat. I'm a fan of Ryan Reeves but the character of Ryback was boring as hell. He was simply a Body Guy. His look was all he had going and that look was created Chemically. I understand why he thinks EVERYONE should make the same, but it's not practical. You CANNOT pay Orton 1 Million a year and pay kalisto the same. That's ridiculous. And his complaints about not making enough money in wwe.... Anyone who spends $600 a day on FOOD, that person deserves to be BROKE ! He complained that wwe doesn't cover travel expenses... That is true. But it CLEARLY states in a wwe talent contract that he/she is a INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. NOT AN EMPLOYEE. That does need to change but in reality it won't because there's no union for WWE Wrestlers. And none of them will ho on strike to get q union because yhey know they'll be fired instantly. I follow Ryback on RUclips, but in my opinion Ryback thought he was on the same level as John Cena and Rock when in reality hd was upper mid carder at BEST.
The guy is 315lbs of muscle he prob eats 100 dollars worth of food a day..... at least no matter if he roided up or not you still have to eat eat and eat some more
Ryback always felt like he was created by the merch department. All smoke and no fire. Just big musicles and dumb catchphrases. No real wrestling ability, no interesting character or storylines, even his finishers sucked. Hes very much in the same Leauge as Del Rio for me. Although at least Notable Prick Alberto Del Rio was a somewhat compelling heel.
I like Corny , always have , but sometimes he is hypocritical . Being very liberal he supports the rich kicking in the taxes they owe ....then says Ryback is an idiot if he pays 40% ? He says he cannot work in wrestling anymore on the priciple that what they office demands of him is not good business .... then criticizes Ryback for refusing a big money contract when its against his principle that he does so ? I do not like Ryback , never have , but you cannot have your cake and eat it too .

They get paid when they’re hurt. That’s the point of the “downside” guarantee. Ryback was upset because they didn’t offer the downside he wanted.
They absolutely pay when injured. Educate yourself before babbling nonsense
I don’t know any business that pays you when you get suspended for things like failed drug test either. He was earning a base salary and as I said before no way he was spending 150,000 a year! Especially for how injury prone he was and for his failed drug test. And as was pointed out he wasn’t happy with his downside deal so wwe let him walk. How’s he doing now? Did he ever retire for his failed Punk prediction!
Well with "The Feed Me More" shtick you know he was spending a crapload on food and steroids. Just saying lol
🤣🤣 That thumbnail of Ryback LoL he Does do that, "Stupid, slap slap"
Yes sir-WAKE UP🤣🤦♂️
See these conversations are kinda bullshit because as an independent contractor you get reimbursed for travel expenses, meals and other things when you file your taxes.
Try it
Nathaniel Baxter I’m sorry I made you look like a dummy and all but you should really do some research. Trying to call me 3rd grade names after I made you look foolish is indicative of the type of uneducated hick you are.
RYBACK is the true definition of no neck
Like a thumb.
The fact that Ryback backs The Secret is hillarious to me. Of course he believes everyone should be paid the same, he believes all sorts of bullshit.
I remember Ryback saying that he eats 7-10 meals a day
shit i smoke weed n barley eat 4 times a day he is full of shit
Lol😂😂... Lincoln Continental. Jim is definitely still stuck in the 70's
@The Dog Faced Gremlin yeah but those sucked! They weren't true luxury cars like they were in the '60s and '70s
It might just be just how MUCH he eats. To maintain that size???
He's TOO big though.
He's not nearly big enough to have to eat that much
@@willh3972 Oh, yes he is. He's like 280-290. To maintain that size as lean as he is? That adds up.
150k on road expenses? How the f***? You'd have to be trying to lose money.
150k on road expenses isn't a lot of money. In a normal job where your in the same town or city as your job it would be a ton of money, but assume for a moment that they are gone 300 days of the year.
So 300 days:
150-200 on hotels each night 45-60,000
40-50 on food 12-15,000
150 on gas every day - 45,000
That alone is 100k-120k before taxes and everything else. Also consider they are getting flights to venues they can't drive to, drinks, and sending money home to take care of their families. That easily hits the 150k mark even before you add in hobbies and the like.
If your on the main roster bare minimum it should be 250k(based on how much you are used obviously).
I just think about Bryan describing Ryback having a meltdown at Panera Bread!
MY FUCKING SOUP'S COLD!!!
"You're the jew" slipped under the radar.
Nah, i caught that....I immediately thought "someone is about to get triggered here."
@@timbobcreations3915 by under the radar I mean not immediately addressed in the podcast.
Jim said get away from this heat magnet
No to mention the fact that now you can get hotel and airfare plus rental cars for a low price. My mother is a travel agent so this is coming from her, however with all the traveling he does why not look into getting something like that. He could have purchased a package where all of that will be included. This is not the bloody 80's give me a break.
"Wasn't ready for it and didn't deserve it."
So you're shitting on every wrestler from the late 80's?
Basically take your opinion of that era of wrasslin as you call it and shove it up your roided arse you fucking plank!
No that isnt what I said what I said was Ryback was a poor knock off of the stereotypical wrestler from the 80's. In the 80's they were gold, but when someone overembelishes them it's terrible. Also that isnt me in my profile pic....
@@rkofu1 you are implying that those guys had small movesets and quick matches
They did for the most part you're going to tell me people like hogan and warrior had vast movesets with extended matches? But in that time with the sincerity of it it was great ryback was not great
HOOKERS CHARGE 300 DOLLARS AN HR. THATS HOW
Ryback doesn't like women
LOL. He doesnt know how to be frugal. The drawin. LMAO. He thinks hes a big star and wasnt a good wrestler.
Well he's got to spend cash to get the juice.
wwe has catering also
Ryback didnt get paid big bucks cause they said he was very stiff in the ring..he was hurting people
ha it came out it was sunny who had an unlimited credit card and was taken Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash Scott Hall 1-2-3 kid all out for breakfast on her card and they eventually took it away from her 😂🤷
'Heat magnet' 😂
he probably left because he felt he wasnt as big as jason blaha
I saw him in my gym wearing a Brooklyn shirt. Had no idea at all who he was and asked him if he was from NYC? Said "No" but he's been there a million times and was given the shirt
Mick Foley would squeeze a nickel until the buffalo took a dump
Anyone know where that image of Jim came from? I see it all the time but cannot remember if it was a match or if it was a promo he did that face. Anyone know?
Look it up airhead.
We don't know what the secret is...! XD
"Cry no tears for me Argentina" lol
The secret = the law of attraction. Pretty much think happy thoughts and envision what you want and eventually it comes.
He included roids in the daily cost
Hotel room at most - 180/day
Food at most- 100/day
Car at most-100/day including gas
So almost 400 bucks a day hes not far off but who knows how he is traveling prolly 1st class nicest cars best hotel rooms and fanciest restaurants
Basically Ryback is bad with money 😂👍
Ryback 2010-2016
Lord sounds so different then now
White Castle and Wendy's is the only burger's I'd eat from a national fast food restaurant, besides the local Coney Islands here in Detroit
I'm hearing this $600 a day thing and saying to myself, " This guy is from Vegas. Whats he really spending it on?" I hear this all the time out here.
Feed Ryback more 🐓
Owen and Foley spending the least amount on the road is smart but having other people buy your meals for you and catching rides with other people so you don't spend any money is like I said can be seen as smart but its also being a dead beat. I'm not buying your meal for you and if you don't put in on this rent a car you can keep on knocking but you can't get in
This is why you're lonely
@@ledzeppelinfan1001 I didn't know that freeloaders were so popular. If I asked people for things more and figured out a way to save every penny would make me popular. I didn't know that.
In regards to saving money on the road...What, the talent couldn't ride with the ring crew?? I'm quite sure Pat Patterson does!
I'm sure he provided the services also
That's the old M.U.S.C.L.E logo right.
Did he factor the steroid cost into his weekly travel budget?
A video he made a year ago, he mentioned that he basically likes to travel alone because he likes keeping a certain schedule and being in charge of his travel time
I would pay certain referees more than certain "superstars" ... Legends like Joey Marella, Mike Chioda, the Hebners, Tim White, Charles Robinson, Jimmy Courderas etc...deserve way more than talent that nobody cares about. Ryback was pretty hard to watch. There are others like him still out there. They all come and go. The "Feed me more" thing was ridiculous. Reminds me of a dollar tree Ultimate Warrior 😂
well I'll be damned. Cornette named the jew. he just went up a notch in my book. 1 notch. he's still a Democrat.
You can push Ryback til the cows come home but he won't get over . Its not like pushes get people over . You can get over better if once you are over they give you the right push . Vince does not make stars he showcases them .
he probably eats a ton of food cause he's a giant meat head. lol
would make sense. Heard a story where he'd roll up to Subway and just ask for chicken breasts
T.M. Samuels Yeah he'd order even more when it came to stopping at Panera Bread.
well he was the Corn Fed Meat Head Cliff someBerry.
The guy is 315lbs of muscle he prob eats 100 dollars worth of food a day..... at least no matter if he roided up or not you still have to eat eat and eat some more
Exactly...most any bodybuilder/athlete has to consume a fuck ton of calories...
cornette you are the king!!
Steroids and protein powder cost a lot
I like Corny , always have , but sometimes he is hypocritical . Being very liberal he supports the rich kicking in the taxes they owe ....then says Ryback is an idiot if he pays 40% ? He says he cannot work in wrestling anymore on the priciple that what they office demands of him is not good business .... then criticizes Ryback for refusing a big money contract when its against his principle that he does so ? I do not like Ryback , never have , but you cannot have your cake and eat it too .
80 on food
80 hotel(not every hotel is cheap)
jim doisnt fly
jim dosent drive far
80 to 120 for the car
So he was about half right. But still though, asking for that much more a day, plus he has to fly and pay that dosent he?
Flights are covered. Hotel, car, food are their standard road expenses.
I never got Ryback, personally.
All he's ever really hit me off as was being the probable result of a WWE creative team member getting baked one day and asking, "Hey, what if we gave Snitzky a beard and a bald wig?". The guy's not a wrestler
But eating 3 kid burgers a day from wendys would add up to more than $15 a week, so, lets not goo from ryback overspend to unrealistic poverty budget for a house cat.
You can get protein by eating chicken. Chicken is inexpensive and you can cook it in so many ways
@@rdwrdw3672 I font think u can use a avg person's schedule for wwe wrestler. Even now people r complaining about the work schedule. Doubt they have time to cook, especially someone like ryback who eats at least 5 times a day to maintain his muscle mass.
@@demoth prepared meals sort of like those old tv dinners.
He's on the road. No different than pilots, truckers, flight attendants, etc.
You can still healthy aside from eating from a vending machine or fast foods.
“...ive never seen a Ryback match?”
Wtf with the assumptive Goldberg comparisons? Go back and check out his work with Cena for Christ Sake! I mean he wasnt fuckin Stone Cold but for a big guy he got around pretty decent. Corny would prolly say he was as stiff as Nikita or the Road Warriors - and also wouldve done better at during that era
He probably eats let me the rock and has memberships at every gym so he can always get a workout in any city
Lol Jim said the boys tried to get away from this fucking heat magnet lol how can you not love Jim Cornette ?
Rybacne
"I love Black Guys!" - Dean Ambrose.
Cole Brown snowflake
I saw a few of Pumpernickelfront’s matches, and they weren’t bad. It’s a shame he couldn’t play the political game.
Surprised Jim didn't say that money was probably all for steroids
He aat above Heath Slater and beneath Brodus Clay. No wonder he's so bitter
Ryback does nothing but talk about the WWE. Why isn't he pushing his brand?
Wasn't Ryback in ovw ?
How did jim shooting on videos become better than todaya top ppvs like wreslemania
Was Jim saying Ryback didn't deserve it or Punk? Yeah Punk was a big draw,ok🙄 Anyway I believe Ryback spent that much just food alone. The guy was always eating. He tells a story about when he was still Skip Sheffield about Al Snow being annoyed at how much he ate during the day. Why Al Snow cared I never got but every time he was about to eat something Al Snow would start chasing him and yelling at him.
