As a father of a daughter who struggled with anorexia I wanted you to know how proud I am of you and your openess to share your struggle. Being able to acknowledge your struggle is more than half the battle. You are strong, you are beautiful, and above all, YOU are worthy. We will be keeping you in our prayers.
You are absolutely beautiful Melanie and you are an amazing guitarist. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone but it's extremely brave of you to talk about this. You're very brave for going public with this. For starters, it's no one's business but your own why you're thin and you owe no one an explanation or justification as to why. You have a situation that you recognize and you're dealing with it, PERIOD! Some people are obviously more focused on your appearance than your talent. Oscar Wilde said "Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken". Don't fret young lady, you'll get through it, land on your feet, and come out wiser in the end.

I got sick with covid this january and was really bad i spent weeks in intensive care.lucky to be here alive.im still fighting as im diabetic andthe virus attacked everything in the body.istay positive with all the pain and weakness.music is healing.
Congrats for talk about a so delicate and important theme. All the social pressures on women's body generates a lot of psychological problems around the world, everyday. I think that was very hard for you to talk about it, but, at the same time, is very important hear your story, of how do you fights (and wins) that problem. Sweety you are beautiful, as a person, and the way you look as well. What others think should have no meaning to you. Don,t let others opinions drive your direction of travel. We decide who and what we are as people. This is your life, make it what you want, how you want. Always remember life is a journey, always take time to enjoy those you love. I know that it’s hard to share this with unknown people. But that’s a big burden removed from you. Many people, as your fans, can see you as a friend when you share something personal. I had a problem with a diet, trying to cure shoulder pain (from playing guitar), and I lost weight, got unstable and had panic attacks. This was two years ago and I still take medication for anxiety to avoid the panics to come back. When I shared this with my classmates I felt a huge relief. Nowadays 80% of people will defend what is right. It’s not “cool” anymore to be a bully, or evil or troll. I just feel closer to you as a person and I hope you exercise and keep playing for happiness, not obligation, because both these things make us hungry for life.

As hard as it is for you to speak about, well done. Everytime someone speaks up it helps other people in a similar position, it lets them know it's okay to struggle and that they aren't alone

I don't know you but it is said that music comes from the Soul and your music is so beautiful that no doubt you are a good one! You just don't know that... for the moment! Maybe you can read the book from Lise Bourbeau called "5 wounds that prevent you from being yourself", maybe it can help and provide keys to help you to make peace with your body... who knows!? I am so angry at myself!!! I commented”I just want to wrap her in my arms and giver her a good meal” I thought you was a child. I’m a father! You are a beautiful girl. And an amazing guitar player. Do not pay attention to the hurtful comments, those people have nothing better to say! I have an eating disorder, I’m a 44 year old man and I hate the thought of eating. I’m also overweight, because I drink a lot. But I watch my children eat a full plateful and wish I could do that also. Keep positive! And keep playing! You are a beautiful person. Ich kann so was nicht wirklich nachvollziehen, meine Gedanken waren auch während deines Videos jetzt ab und zu "ja warum zwingst du dich denn nicht einfach zum essen..." aber wie gesagt, für mich ist essen ganz normal, ja ich hab momentan auch eine Phase, wo ich mir sehr genau überlege ob ich gewisse sachen echt essen will und gerne auch mal auf was verzichte und dann stolz auf mich bin, dass ich es nicht gegessen habe... aber ja, ich nehme solche themen so gut ich kann ernst und ich wünsche dir alles gute und dass du so bald als möglich wieder normal essen kannst😊 ich glaube an dich, du schaffst das!! I’ve watched your video a couple of times now over the last few days... and will still fall short with words to describe the bravery you have displayed in posting this. It pains me to think you were in any way coerced in to doing so because of people asking. Like so many others I’m here for your music and will continue to return to support you in that. You can do it!!! I think we're almost the same. I have some issues, i'm really introvert and people never understand me to the point the they told that I need professional help. But I'm totally fine with my own. Play the guitar helped me a lot. Going out by my own makes feel good and free of everything. You're so brave telling your life on RUclips . So brave Melani! I passed through something similar. I was a runner and I got obsessed with my weight. Lost about 15 kg when I was 18 years old and 40 kg (I looked like a skeleton, which I didn't see at that time). I broke my sacrum for training at that weight and I realized something was wrong. Now, watching old photos makes me so sad, but proud too. Now, even my guitar playing has gotten better because I have so much energy.
I'm sure you are strong enough to get better, we support you!
Thanks a lot for this great video. It will open people's eyes. Not just those who suffer from it, but people who doesn't understand that making jokes about it can be very hurtful and make us take steps back in our recovery.

I accidentally came upon your channel and have commented before about your awesome work with the music/guitars. I never really focused on the fact that you were anything but a young lady with an obvious talent for playing songs from my generation of music. I have a relative (who was teenage girl) who also had an eating disorder. She is now a thriving professional who overcame it though her own tough spirit and the love of others and her family. I never even think about her as having had to deal with this battle, it seems so far in the past. Just know that this doesn't define you or who you are. Keep doing what you do and being you. You are one heck of an artist and talent. Someday this thing that is defined as a disorder will be in your rear view mirror.💪

I admire your bravery in opening up about your sickness. We all have struggles and challenges to face and your attitude in accepting your problem and getting help is a beg step in getting better. I for one am struggling with anxiety and depression but with medication, meditation and music life becomes enjoyable. We love you. It gets better everyday.
I know that sometimes it helps to verbalise what is happening to you but don’t feel you have to if it doesn’t help you. Concentrate on you and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks or says. Du bist eine so starke Persönlichkeit. Es war allein schon stark, dass in die Story zu posten aber noch ein Video zu machen zeigt noch viel mehr Stärke! I lived through it
All through my teens & twenties , I started to make slow increments toward the light
Many years
It is beatable
But it’s always there , the issue with food
I call it a “guilt” & a “control” of at least “something” that I felt
I hated people bringing up my weight or thinness it causes much pain
Don’t worry about what people say or think about your appearance as the concern you have is only with your health
There is nothing negative regarding your aesthetics ,whether you are slim or heavier you are beautiful as you are in that moment irrespective of your weight. People asking weight related questions kept me down and kept me away from being social and it can destroy self esteem and make a person feel unattractive when people keep asking rudely such questions it causes depression

I’m proud of you for getting help, many people nowadays are worried to share personal situations online, but you being completely open is extremely admirable and judging your guitar playing, coming from someone who’s been playing for half his life, you’re excellent, keep doing what you’re doing, you make thousands happy every day, the change you make in others lives is exceptional and I hope you can realise it.

Very brave of you to speak of this on the internet - this shows how strong you really are. Keep posting the music videos and (easy for me to say) ignore the people commenting in a negative manner. I love your guitar playing and the inspiration you provide for me to be a better guitarist and a better person.
As a teenager, I was always very slim. I used to have people tell me "you're so skinny" all the time and it really got me down. But they saw being slim as having different connotations to being overweight. The same people would never say "you're so fat" to someone carrying extra weight. It's nobody's business how you look! Your RUclips channel is guitar based, not health and fitness! Kudos for addressing the issue though, and keep up the great work 👏🏻
