Pretty soon, we may not even need a movie, someone's recreating Cyn, IRL. She already has a body made ( normal Cyn not skin suit Cyn) this man is teaching the AI how to talk like Cyn, facial recognition, a mouth with the tongue included ( y'know for the " *LICK* ") as far as I know right now, she is not mobile yet. But she can communicate.
However, when he asked, "You're not going to destroy the planet, are you?" She did not respond.

If you look at the slides in Uzi's presentation at the end, she re-uses the graph for "The Hero's Journey" that was seen in episode 1. This time, below the graph you can see this caption:
      "Forget all this immediately.
Get tunnel visioned by spooky dead robot reveal and work backwards from there."
Essentially, I believe the entire show/story was made just to justify using Cyn as a character.

21:10 Doll is actually in the same room as them when the scene flickers to her, her body is propped up at a desk which is just barely visibly off-screen to the right of Lizzie. They seemingly dragged her corpse back up from the cathedral and just placed her in the classroom at her old desk. Why ? I dunno... But with the drones i think the better question will always be "Why not ?".
PS: Yes, Nori is now back with the colony. You can see her outside the classroom cheering alongside Khan when Uzi was holding her epilogue presentation, and during the credits there is a shot of Nori sitting on Khan's head as they are all playing cards together.

Uzi didn't necessarily eat Cyn at the end there. Cyn's core was destroyed, getting burned up by the sunlight from the hole Uzi blew into the planet. That exposed the singularity / void within Cyn's core that seems to represent the manifestation of the Absolute Solver. Cyn was the Solver's main host and now Uzi's trapped the Solver inside herself. Unlike with Cyn, Uzi is maintaining control of herself instead of losing herself to the Solver. Hence why the Solver is stuck talking through her tail, but you can still see the Solver's camera eyes in Uzi's reflection. The Solver is still there, waiting, but Uzi is containing it within her for now as its main host.

@@Kirakishou7 The Solver is a separate entity that took over Cyn. When she first wakes up after self-rebooting at the bottom of the drone heap in episode 5, the text that appears on her visor is the Solver convincing her to grant it access to her code/mind. Also in episode 6, Tessa/Cyn herself says that "It took Cyn as a host".

@@Rumenix Taking something as a host doesn't mean said host is alive. The CC backs this all up. The yellow eyes mean solver possession. In EP5 Cyn also refers to herself as the Solver in the basement. The original drone is gone as soon as it let the Solver in as it kept it's 'promise' of not discarding her just like it 'promised' not to discard Tessa. The characters only refer to Cyn when speaking of the body any other time it's referred to as the solver, entity, thing or it. Uzi even asks if the Solver can control her again not Cyn even though the same entity has controlled her, they are one and the same. Cyn is just the name given to the drone by Tessa after recovering it, nothing more.
Edit: "It took Cyn as a host" wow imagine trusting the words of a pathological liar.

I think you're getting confused and / or heated.
Yes, we KNOW the Solver replaced Cyn and what we call Cyn is the Solver. But Cyn WAS, prior to the series, an individual drone.
We see the Solver reach out and contact said drone when they reboot from death at the bottom of the corpse pile. The Solver convinces the drone to let it inside, thus the Solver took Cyn as its host and began using Cyn as its vessel.
This lines up with what the Solver, as Tessa, tells us. It took Cyn as a host, then it took everything.
Yes, you are correct that in referring to Cyn we usually refer to the Solver. The exception to that being when specifically referring to the drone in the corpse pile prior to Tessa finding her, then naming the drone "Cyn" because of the damaged Marked For Disassembly armband where everything is scrubbed out and only "Cyn" is visible.
The Solver itself is an entirely seperate entity, and this is proved by the Solver's message to the drone that would be named Cyn which we see at the start of Episode 5. This entity calls itself "The Solver of the Absolute Fabric, the Void, the Exponential End". The characters in the show, likewise, call it Cyn as the Solver is inhabiting its main host Cyn.
I'm not sure why you're getting so confrontational with the other guy. He's not wrong, but you're not wrong either.
My point with my original post is that it's not particularly accurate to say "Cyn is trapped in Uzi" or "Cyn is speaking through Uzi's tail". It's more accurate to say that the Solver is being contained within Uzi, as Uzi is now the Solver's main host after taking in the Singularity that was within Cyn's Solver-mutated AI core which was destroyed. The voice that speaks through the host Cyn is the Solver's voice. The voice that speaks through Uzi's tail is the Solver.

the red eyed sentinel is named Sparky, and the hat its wearing is most likely Beau's from ep 6.
you hear a bit of bite me in ep 7 on nori's ipod.
as Nori is running away from Kahn after saying "you dont know me and i hate you" she actually faceplants. you see it in one of the behind the scenes videos the animators did.

Episode 1: Vampire Fiction. (The MDs are entirely based on vamps, right down to their inability to get past doors.)
Episode 2: Cosmic Horror. (Draws especially heavily from John Carpenter's The Thing.)
Episode 3: Prom Slasher. (Kinda in the Carrie direction with some cannibalism hijinks and stuff.)
Episode 4: Murders at Summer Camp. (Friday the 13th obviously being the most well-known codifier.)
Episode 5: Classic "Haunted Mansion" stuff. (Way too many examples to list tbh.)
Episode 6: Dino Horror. (Jurassic Park is probably the most notable influence.)
Episode 7: Religious Horror. (The Exorcist, etc.)

I'm glad that you ended up falling in love with the show.
One thing you have to understand is that for those of us who were there at the beginning or only a few episodes in, we had to wait months between episodes, which led to a lot of speculation, processing, rewatching and hunting for clues in the background.
From episode 1 to 8 was about 3 years.
I think that's why the fandom is so strong, because we all had to cope with these long wait times, especially after such pivotal moments like V's apparent death, making her return months later in this episode Such a hype moment.
It's also worth noting that this long production time and the fact that they have multiple projects on the go like digital circus which I think is exceptionally more popular, They had to end Murder drones in order to focus the resources, I do not think for a second they are done with the show, and they have stated themselves that the characters will return in some form. But I think it was intentionally left open-ended so that if they wanted to return with a sequel or successor series they can.

Solver's possession are highly depends on the host's emotion. You can see in any of solver's possession in previous episodes, it's always when Uzi having insecurity/worries/in danger. That's why when Uzi ask "Solver control me again?" Nori gave her necklace and simply said "if you a lil Bitch" so if she's being insecure (being a lil bitch) solver will have control of her.
When Cyn doing the "Callback ping" to took over Uzi, She hold onto N and feel happy being with him, so solver couldn't control her. Lastly, when Uzi being more confident, she actually took control of Cyn just a little bit. That's why Cyn always positive about what she's doing bc that's how you took control of the solver.
Also, what Nori wrote about how to defeat Cyn are always miss read. It said "Needs host - Destroy Cyn's Heart", there's a solver symbol, so it actually said "Solver needs host - Destroy Cyn's heart". It doesn't really miss guide the viewers but I like to point out that detail.

I can finally share one of my favorite theories about Uzi being a solver-pede and how everything past her eating Cyn's core is a projection. It's why the credits show the vending machine that AS kept killing drones at, the shot of the still active drone in the background moments before. It was saying "remember, the solverpede can create holograms that trick everyone even with touch". it's why Uzi looks so stressed when she's alone: she KNOWS her real body is a giant holo-snake-crab and the one everyone sees is fake.

That's not THE Cyn in Uzis tail at the end, it's just the Solver. Cyn was the Drone it used as a host/physical body and Uzi burned her core, so most likely she burned away any remaining trace of Cyn the Drone.
It's most likely that Uzi's body is a projection since the Solver itself doesn't have a physical body, it's a singularity - seen in Episode 2 as well when N destroys the Core it becomes a black hole floating away. The Centipede IS Uzi now since she consumed the Solver's singularity.
Regarding Doll, in the end where Uzi's HUD flashes between yellow and purple you can see for a split second that it turns red and has "RUS DOLL" instead of "UZI DRM" in the corner, so it's most likely that Doll's essence is still alive in Uzi's OS thanks to the Solver literally eating Doll's core (consciousness).
A Solver Host/User can only be effectively destroyed if their core is destroyed since they can switch their consciousness into their mutated core if the bodys destroyed (similar how J initially survived in Episode 2 and Nori's still around as her Core as well as Uzi's core when the Solver ripped it out).
Also funfact, the "ghost" like figure that flickers for some seconds in the Credits is actually Doll's model. They showed some shots behind the scenes and that one got leaked, so it's most likely that Doll is still around, just... well, as a "ghost" of some sorts.

I know I'm late to get back to this, but after the personal _hell_ that this week has been, I could definitely _use_ this distraction. Once more into the breach, dear friends:
    - One of the reasons I've stayed convinced that Cyn and the Solver are two distinct entities is that, when you read the comment lines in the code, there's two different personalities on display. The Solver writes very formally, almost coldly at times, but with a peculiar charisma that reads more like speech than what you'd usually find in bracketed comments (I used to code in C++ and Javascript); contrasting that are the more playful, almost childish comments and ASCII emojis like what preceded the Material Collection this time -- _that,_ I'm convinced, is _Cyn._
    - Loving the use of abrupt silence whenever the vacuum of space comes back in. A lot of sci-fi uses the muffled underwater filter over the audio track, as if outer space was just the bottom of a pool.
    - J's continued use of the name "Boss" when she _clearly knows_ she's talking to Cyn makes me think she _always_ knew what had happened to Tessa. I'm also left to wonder if, when she responded to Tessa's demand that she help during the flashback with "Sorry Boss, corporate's spoken.", she wasn't still talking to Cyn -- her loyalty to the humans never seemed all that strong beyond the baseline required for her survival.
    - V riding in on a Robo-Raptor wearing a slouch hat. I think Uzi's got competition for #1 Girlboss again.
    - While we haven't seen much of her in action before now, it's noteworthy to me that, even while the Solver was temporarily disabled by the Null blast, Cyn was able to intercept and destroy the instance before it could do any significant damage to her eldritch patron. Even though she's clearly using its powers, that mass eating the core is a separate entity: *the Absolute Solver itself,* trying to break through using Copper-9 as a conduit the same way it did on Earth.
    - I think there's differences in the terms between coding languages, but if the 'CallbackPing' code Cyn used is at all like the same thing used in coding IRL, it's basically a function that attempts to run asynchronously after being sent as an 'argument' to another function. I suppose you could think of it as the programming version of a Trap Card: set, but not activated until a specific trigger reads as true. (If I had to guess, the Solver plants a Callback function in every potential host that connects to it long enough to manifest its abilities, and the 'Ping' is the trigger to activate the function -- 'pings' are typically used to request a response from a designated system or function.)
    - It makes sense that Uzi's Heart would look similar to her mother's, all things considered.
    - We've seen those same tentacle-hands since Episode 2. Guess now we know how long Cyn's been planetside in some form.
    - ...So, N was the only one kept in the dark -- J knew, and now we learn that _V_ knew, and kept quiet to protect N. Cyn really _is_ at _yandere_ levels of obsession with N, isn't she?
    - Again, I'm not surprised that N has a Heart like the other Solver hosts we've seen. It just leaves me wondering whether they could use Solver abilities too, or if Cyn restricted that somehow prior to sending them out on their crusade against humanity.
    - I've been following AJ Dispirito for a while now (I like their tunes), so I recognized 'BITE ME' pretty quickly. Nightcore isn't an all-seasons genre, but nothing scratches the same itch.
    - I struggle to find the words to describe how _awesome_ the fight scene with Cyn is. I'm an absolute _simp_ for any combat sequence that's choreographed so tightly with the music that you can track the beats and the tempo in the impacts and explosions. That's just... _art,_ really. Not much more to say.
    - I still don't fully know how the Null process works, so exactly what happened when Uzi Null'd Cyn's Heart is an uncertainty. My best guess is that, while the Null process can erase _matter,_ somehow it preserves _energy,_ including the energy stored as data in a Core -- we saw J's Heart 'self-destruct' via a Null burst after being destroyed in Episode 2, yet she clearly _remembered_ the railgun that killed her, so the data from that Core was somehow preserved beyond its destruction. It could be that Cyn's body, perhaps under the Solver's control, was trying to reintegrate the data from Cyn's Heart the same way, data that Uzi integrated instead.
    - The ending does feel a bit abrupt, and I would've liked to have at least gotten a glimpse of the Solver -- which is still out there, and could still manifest, unless Cyn's physical body was its only foothold and it can't get another -- but I won't begrudge the team a happy ending. (Or, well, as happy as you can _get_ when you've got a genocidal psychopath riding shotgun, I suppose.)

I would say, that reveal of the end, is that Uzi has effectively BECOME Absolver. We see it after she eats the 'Core', she is dead, fatal error, collapsed on the ground with blood and body parts scattered. But if you slow it down, all the blood, body parts, and everything suddenly is pulled into her, making her twitch and gasp as she 'wakes up'.
I believe she IS Absolver now, their codes merging together which is why Absolver is still part of her and she can't get rid of it. She is no longer a Drone, but not a Higher Function AI program that is puppeting her old corpse. Again, this is MY idea of what the ending means.

I'd like to think that her body hasn't been replaced by that ungodly collection of eyes and limbs and isn't just holograming as herself but from N's flashbacks we've seen cyn do something similar as just cyn and do so convincingly enough to fool the other drones mostly. So it's entirely possible that for some reason she's now cosplaying as herself but I choose to believe it's just a mental (Progamming/code?) thing, perhaps a result of having cyn's conciousness meld or persist within her own like we see in cyn talking through her tail, essentially her seeing some of cyn in her self sometimes with reflextions.

My interpretation of the ending is that Uzi has replaced the solver by absorbing it. The solver still exists (no one can kill an eldridge entity even if it’s also an AI), Uzi’s psyche just controls it

Nori writes on the asteroid "Solver needs host - Destroy Cyn's heart"
the use of two separate names implies two separate entities, Cyn had just long ago given themselves over to Solver

So after episode 7 some people didn't really clearly see Cyn eating Doll's core. People thought that Doll isn't dead and is still alive. So in episode 8 they confirmed Doll's death by showing her corpse without the core. That's it I think 😅

    • @Kirakishou7
      @Kirakishou7 2 месяца назад +2

The transition scene @17:00 has 2 frames of Uzi's UI changing to Doll's UI in the original video. Doll is alive within Uzi like Cyn is to some extent.

  • @ingeaten
    @ingeaten 2 месяца назад +2

Seems to me like that cut to Doll at the end is just a pun cuz like everyone else is alive and back where we started and they're all yelling and then you just cut to her being dead and therefore unable to cheer, just a audio/visual pun I guess

Nori actually did come back to be with her family! In the ending credits, there's a small scene where Uzi and N are playing card games with Khan and the WDF... And Nori is sitting on Khan's head! My interpretation of the aftercredits scene is that Uzi and the Solver are sharing a body, but Uzi can keep the Solver's will contained in her tail. I don't know whether Uzi's current form is a hologram, or the Solver form was a hologram... In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter what her actual physical form is, as long as Uzi can keep Solver from unleashing yet another apocalypse.

I think because there was as many Doll isnt dead believers as V isnt dead ones
So this was the Yup shes dead scene 😂
Though when Uzi becomes host to the solver, the Screen displays Dolls name for a second, so maybe Doll is in there as well as she got consumed

  • @JacksonLane02

Geez this episode felt like full on Liam Vickers being unleashed especially with Cyn to where you put her this episode in his pre Murder Drones animationw and she feels like she would fit perfectly. Bummed but can accept that this was the finale which wish same could be said for many other people which unfortunately it ain't with Glitch's GlitchX event like this past Friday where some Murder Drones fans I assume no older than maybe teen age spammed for Murder Drones S2 And said stuff like if there's not a Murder Drones S2 I'm gonna cry stuff like that. Which I can understand why since they love the show so do I but Liam Vickers spent the equivalent of going through elementary school grade levels just to get to the finale he deserves somewhat of a break l. Only downside I really have is it feels more like a season finale but I can see why it was written that way to have everyone (expect fir Cyn and J) to have a happy ending with 0 deaths

Yes, officially Murder Drones has ended. Officially, you can only see the characters in shorts and other creations by Glitch Productions. And officially, there will be no story expansion.
However, unofficially, a second season is not impossible. Questions can still be answered, the potential is there, and there is a fandom who loves this show. It all depends on if Liam Vickers and Glitch want to lean into that hype. However, given the projects Glitch is or will be working on, a second season won’t be coming anytime soon.
No hate if they do decide to end this here though. MD has been a thrill to watch and I’m glad so many people, including you and myself, were able to experience it.

I will always believe that they never actually defeated the Solver but they did defeat Cyn, after all there were 2 cores seen, the one inside the planet when the tentacles come out and then the one of Cyn/Solver.

    Something I'm still confused about.
Was the planet they were all on for the season destroyed? At first it looks like it has been destroyed and they're all floating in space within floating buildings/structures in space. Then at one point we see a distant shot of a planet with rings. Is the ringed planet a different planet in the solar system or is that their planet and it wasn't really destroyed. I don't understand??

It’s basically murder drones but with people

someone's recreating Cyn, IRL. She already has a body made ( normal Cyn not skin suit Cyn) this man is teaching the AI how to talk like Cyn, facial recognition, a mouth with the tongue included ( y'know for the " *LICK* ") as far as I know right now, she is not mobile yet. But she can communicate.
However, when he asked, "You're not going to destroy the planet, are you?" She did not respond

Honestly I love and absolutely despise this episode at the same time. I love it because Cyn is awesome and the horror aspect is fantastic as well as the animation being incredible . But I fucking hate it because it feels like fan fiction . V just turns up from nowhere with a sentinel pet, J could just be written out of every episode after the pilot without any consequence, Uzi can suddenly resist Cyn just because the writer says so and Cyn gets straight up beaten up because she forgets to be a creepy eldritch monstrosity at the top of her power while the gang goes with the Goku mentality of punching it really hard? Yeah no. I always suspected they had no plan for the overarching plot and just winged it episode by episode and this finale pretty much validates that thought for me. Such an incredible episode and at the same time such a disappointment.

I 100% agree. Great artstyle, bad plot. A lot of things just feel random, and also: the ending. After the world just being literally like a thousand small islands floating around a sun, the school is still there and the same?
