You got to give him credit for that, his upgrade is truly self-taught, Raiden's lightning powers and Kenshi's Sento were pre-existing powers.
Knowing most if not all kung lao has similar weapon of choice throughout various timelines, it really asks you if the choice was predestined.
@@HeliumHelios maybe as part of the great Kung Lao’s bloodline, it is their ability to craft their powers.
I mean, Raiden got his shortly after this but I get your point.
Does he get powers to make the hat stop mid air like the other games?

I like how Kung Lao might be upset that he lost, but he still accepts it and gives congratulations to Raiden on his victory. Being able to accept defeat means Kung Lao has a chance to grow further.
His tower ending expands on it further
he even defends his brother when shao goes after him
If it were MK11 Kung Lao or previous Kung Lao
He will not accept that defeat

I like how you can see Cage record Kung Lao when he brings his bladed hat. Cage was really getting inspiration every chance he got.
Also, makes sense how a lot of Kung Lao’s abilities were naturally self taught considering he defeated pretty much everyone in MK9. However, his victory got the better of him against Shao Khan. Nice to see his pride is stillas strong as ever.
I want to see some strong character development for him in the story expansion.

@@lengoc6818I'd like to think that the shaolin taught him and Johnny some magic to give them a better chance against outworld. It would explain how Johnny shadow kicks since we know he can when he does it to Goro at the lantern festival. And we know earthrealmers can learn magic. E.g. Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Smoke.

Gotta give the script writers for MK1 credit, there were alot of character origin and plotpoints that were explained and went into more detail. Thank God these writers didn't go on strike like the Hollywood ones, and I can almost guarantee they don't get paid as much as the Hollywood writers! (Just my honest opinion)
I would say they didn’t go on strike because this game has been cooking for a good few years now. If anything I’d say they had about 85-90% of the game done by the time of the strikes
Agree but I will say its human nature to feel resentment when something unfair is happening even when u have it good; so im not surprised about the strike, but I wonder if this is a chance for newer writers to get in.
