Really helpful tips! As someone else mentioned, I also like to check for firmware updates and download maps while I'm home. I'm curious - how often/when do you recommend any of the calibrations available? Compass, IMU, gimbal? (Not sure if there are others.) I've heard it recommended to calibrate the compass before each flight for this drone (perhaps it wouldn't be needed on a larger drone so often). One more thing in the settings I'm sure I just need to read up on so I understand the application for any of the calibrations, but just curious if these are something you do often.

Nice tips! Thanks! I have the M3P and straight out of the box the propellers have this up/down kinda wobbly movement. How much movement is too much?
Being out in country, having only the telephone network available, it ought to be possible to let the drone/controller use the phone. Any viewer knowing the action needed to set up this? Never used the phone as a server, router or what the name is.

Heey Math, thanks for the video I was wondering with what do you record these videos? When I record on my iPhone I see my propellers off my drone like its in slow motion & when I look back at you I don’t see the propellers when its hovering its smoothly
Have you ever had any experience flying in the Newtownards area? I'm thinking of getting the mini 3 pro. When I look on the maps most of the area is a nfz with the airport close by. On the dji app it shows it as a yellow or orange worning zone.

Hi I've just found your channel,really enjoying your content,was just wondering if you'd answer this, I have a mavic mini 3 Pro,I love the drone but I do have alot of moire when I've compressed the footage, it appears on buildings the most,have you any tips to get rid of this? I've just ordered some nd filters,will this help? I compress my footage with handbrake at 14000 kbps which I thinks quite a good setting so I don't understand why it's happening

Good question! It is hard to see how DJI could improve the Air 2s without it having the same or similar spec to the Mavic 3 classic. If they do bring out an Air 3 I think it won't be for a while yet - but that's only guessing!

Great Video. A few other ideas: (1). Before i leave home, I check to see if there are any firmware updates, and not get locked out due to pending updates. (2) While I am home, I preload any maps so when I get on site, my maps are loaded and (3). When I first turn on the drone on site, I check the Camera Settings. I format the SD Card, and make sure the camera, still and video, are set how I want them. Thanks for another awesome video, this is the best resource for DJI Mini 3 Pro tips. Thanks Matthew!!!

My best tip : don’t use the screwdriver supplied by DJI, it’s rubbish. Use a precision screwdriver and you won’t have any issues with stripping the screws
This is a great tip. I also purchased a better set of screwdrivers to change the props!
Would lens cleaning wipes work? Or does it need to be a dry cloth?
I use Zeiss lens wipes on mine every now and then!

Checking the props. Ask an ex pilot... No wings and ailerons to check...
Removing worn out prop screws... Use a left hand drill bit with less diameter than the prop hole, assuming right hand screws.. Else the opposite, right hand drill bit.

Thanks for the tips. I actually used your pre-flight check in my last flight and found out that one of my props was chipped. I also have had instances where I take off and then I realize that the ND filter is out of place. On the Mini 2 it is easier to get it out of place. I had to land and reposition. On another ocasion, it fell off completely and I lost the ND Filter. I always clean the camera before first flight of the day just in case with my microfiber cloth. I have gotten smudges both on the lens and the filters. The missing Micro-SD I have done as well. I actually took off and only then realized there was no card. I have spares so I just landed and put one in, but way back in the begining with the Mini, I ended up wasting a morning due to lack of a card, which I had left at home. Lastly, for taking off in sandy areas, I usually hand launch so no sand gets in the drone. I also have a launch pad for situations where I actually need to take off or land on rough areas, but mostly I hand launch and land.
If one or 2 prop,s are damaged do you change all 8
Or just the damaged props ?
Up you personally, if one blade on a motor is damaged i usually replace both.

Great tips. Another tip that has saved me a trip is check the weather forecast especially if you’re traveling some distance. A decent weather radar app comes in very handy when the forecast is mostly clear but a rogue thunderstorm pops up.

Hi Matthew Im a fellow creator and mini3 pro beginner. I watched a tutorial a week or so ago made by an "Ausie guy" (cant remember his name) who was warning against storing batteries in the flymore triple charging unit. He is one of the many creators who post regularly under shock headings such as "What dji aren't telling you about mini3 pro............ etc etc" Apparently if batteries are left on a charger they can swell and burst. Also apperently the dji batteries auto discharge from full after 24hrs to 90% then to 40% after 3 days or more if not used. This guy was advising you put your batteries away discharged after use and only charge them the night before a flight. Do you know about this? I cant see anyting on dji 's website warning of this. Can you do a tutorial on this please as I would prefer to follow your advise than this other guy. Many thanks Jon

Hey! Best way to avoid this is to get a better screwdriver. A Phillips #000 will fit perfectly!

I change my propellers for masterscrew colour ones for my Mavic Mini 3 pro. I change 3 of them .. but couldn’t unscrew the 4th. As it was so tight and in the event damage the screw 😂 so had post drone to DJi . To get replace . So not as easy has people think to change propeller on the Mavic Mini pro 3

So, why do we have to check with DJI (a chinese company) and get approval from them, instead of our own government agencies (ie FAA or Nav Canada)? A private company should have no authority to restrict our usage (one would think)...
