Should have gotten a Pierce BX3 with Husky 3.
We’re can I go to get spec’s on Grand Prairies Type lll wild land Engine. We are looking to start specking a new wild land rig. Nice setup
Hi Martin. You can find specs, drawings and more on this truck here: www.svitrucks.com/portfolio-items/grande-prairie-1048/
A very well laid out rig.
They probably add AFF or Fire Ice to extend trigger time, 1 to 3 %.
Never use international chassis. Absolute garbage!
300 gpm monitor with a 500 gallon tank? Hmmm. Enough to do a self save into the black, but that is about it.....if you haven't already been using water on the fire.
What means type3???
Type 1 type 2???
Type 3 is an industry term for fire trucks usually mounted to a truck-type chassis (like Ford, Dodge, Chevy). Type 3 wildland units are typically brush trucks.
To oversimplify the types type one is a normal city fire engine, type two is usually a city fire engine that is equipped with wildfire tools and training, type three is your traditional big wildland firetruck, type six is your f550 wild land firetrucks that are much more off-road capable, and type seven is a small wildland firetruck built on usually an F350 or a skid in the back of a regular pick up truck.
Hopefully that helps
