I just love the Crafar is a “normal” guy, yet with his GP experience and paddock access can give us such awesome insights like this video. It really deserves so many more views!!!!
Really wish he could do this with all the teams/bikes. He’s so good at getting the finer points across to us mortals.. And I can’t believe it took him that long to say f**k! 😂
You spent 7 minutes on Loris Capirossi's MotoGP bike & only said the "F" word twice! You, sir, have the self-control of a saint... Thanks for another amazing video.
Watching and listening Simon on a GP is as exciting as if one of your buddies got the chance! Thanks to Aprilia for letting our man on the inside take the bike out!
Can you imagine being at a track day in Italy and loris capirossi shows up next to you and pulls this out of his Sprinter van?? It would take me an hr to pick my jaw up off of the pavement
Thank you Aprilia and Loris! Great to hear Simon's detailed commentary, see the bike from multiple angles, and hear the engine without other bikes around. Forza!!!

Not a lot of talk is needed but the Hooting and hollering was fantastic! Bravo Aprilia for the opportunity. Best Tech Talk I've seen.
I remember when Lori's Capirossi was riding for factory Ducati and was setting record highest top speeds at various tracks. His hands were taped up inside his gloves but he was still having problems keeping the skin in place. Definitely among the best his time to not win a championship.

I absolutely love Simon’ enthusiasm 🤪👍! Doesn’t matter if it telling us about the functional details of the latest GP bikes, or the feelings he got riding the Aprilia RS-GP ! His total love of the sport shines through.
Really glad you got to sample the bike, Simon-was nice to live vicariously thru you. The commentary was enough to give a good flavor to the bike, it sounds like the dynamic experience is a lot like what the bike looks like when it's being raced. You comments about needing the out-lap to warm everything up really puts the emphasis for us on it truly being a Warm Up Lap rather than a 'sighting lap'. Sounds like it would suck to leave the starting line in a race without that lap to get the brakes and tires up to temperature.
Simon you have a long career as a journalist in front of you. You are such a normal guy we feel immediate connection and feel your emotions. Congratulations for your awesome ride.
This could be a new segment of tech talk, each track another historical bike and throw in a shoulder cam to top it off. Thanks for sharing your passion Simon during these talks!
Great video Simon. It's weird weeing you at this age, my mind still pictures 20 year old you: the super-fast kid from Taihape. However, having you in MotoGP doing interviews and tech talks is superb!
The best thing about Simon trying the MotoGP bikes is the little giggle that he does every time he is off the gas and knows that the bike is going to stop.. This is the giggle that defines the passion of motorcycles.. thank you simon
