Hi. Just for your peace of mind. Right after the Ode to You tour all of the members started working out and eating better. I think this tour(in the video) was a real eye opener for them. They realized that practicing wasn't enough. So I think and hope this new tour will be better for them. I saw the Ode to you show in Houston and it was great but the holes were there and it was obvious their mental state was not at it's best. I live in Korea now and I was lucky enough to go see the Be The Sun opening show in Seoul. It was incredible and they were so confident and relaxed. It was a very different vibe. They have grown so much and become true professionals.
Wow! that is so amazing to hear! Truly wonderful. I was present for the Ode To You in Manila (Feb 2020), the Last Show of the Tour before everything got canceled because of Covid. They gave everything they had and the show was amazing, they knew that the tour will be cut after this and that's probably why they gave their 110%. Even Jeonghan who had to sit and catch his breath a few times, we all saw that he really gave everything he has for that show. Seventeen are true professionals. I was fortunate to attend 3 of their shows and every single time they deliver the best of the best. I know Caitlin will have an amazing time because Seventeen Concerts are always a blast.

The public gave them this title and it's not a privilege thing either because they came from a poor (nearly bankrupt) company, so they had to become self-producing out of necessity or they probably wouldn't have survived as a group. Now that they're a successful group, it does give them a type of freedom that unfortunately many other idols don't always have.

Just want to say that s coups has worked so hard to recover since then and he's even talked about how he would say things to himself in front of the mirror to help build his self esteem and self love, and last year he said he learned a lot about the importance of loving himself and would like to give even more love to carats as well. I think we can all see how his confidence has grown from Heng:garae era when he came back with his happy smile to Hot/Cheers where so many people said they noticed how confident he seemed and he's been trying so many new things (like long hair). Every time I think about this I get emotional tbh bc I feel so proud of him and grateful that he was able to be so vulnerable and share so much of this journey with us. In Face the Sun as well much of their message is about embracing your fear and darkness and letting it shine like the sun bc it is a part of you to be accepted and loved too. I can't help but think his journey was a big part of this, and seeing him come so far inspires me every day.
When it comes to health issues the older members Scoups and Jeonghan mostly easy to be sick. That's why when someone talk about or post ill about scoups' anxiety. The whole fandom will get mad. But at the same time, we cannot fight back since Scoups teach us to not be like other fandoms. Seungcheol is the general leader of SVT and Carats indeed.
i think it's important for newer svt fans (and kpop fans in general) to understand that svt being 'self-produced' isn't just about them making their songs. it's much more than that - they have a hand in what concepts and performances they're gonna do and how, the tours and concerts, mv directing and filming, making various contents themselves (magazines, merch, special clips etc), even going seventeen is mostly based on their own ideas. they do have wonderful staff to help them bring their ideas to life, but they still have more creative control and freedom than any other kpop group out there. and this is why even tho some other groups also make their music, svt are still the only group to hold the 'self-produced group' title.

I remember a time when a fan scolded (in a lighthearted way) Cheol during online fansign about him apologizing when he gets sick and couldn’t do promotions… the carat made him promise to never apologize for such things again and explained to him that it’s not his fault it happens, that his health is still the priority, and therefore he shouldn’t be sorry about it. And he actually fulfilled that promise when he got sick again just this March 😭

Fr he's been under so much pressure since he joined the company and being the leader of a 13 member group in a company thats terrible at managing like pledis must've been so draining, hes always been the first to be affected by the company since he was the one that always stood up for his group and confronted the company, it's kindoff a reach but it gave me the same vibe as the older siblings having to be the first one to face the parents unrealistic standards and mellow them down for the younger siblings
I sobbed this entire series because the boys are so open and themselves with carats during it - seventeen really does everything for carats. edit: I hope Carats mask up and respect others around them as you mentioned we are still in a pandemic and there have been too many tours this year where members have caught covid and shows have been cancelled or postponed. It's hard to think about how there have been two world tours in the USA and both of them have had shows where members have been in ill health, not to mention both KCON NY appearances of Seventeen has been sans 1 member (2016 Wonwoo was sick for four months, and 2019 Seungkwan was recovering from ankle surgery), Ode To You Seungcheol was taking a break for mental health treatment, and during Diamond Edge multiple members were ill at practically every stop (Hoshi was sick in for multiple stops, Minghao was sick at a stop and so was Jun) except NY. (also yes hoshi showed up in the middle of our random play dance in NJ!!)
I remember seeing Mingyu on a collab stage and back then I didn't know who he was and thought he looks like someone who is so full of himself (yes shame on my past self). But then I became a carat and he stole my heart so fast. He's so sweet and loveable and funny and just precious (all of them are). I love these men so so much. They deserve all the good in this world.

I'm seeing them in Oakland soon, but I also watched the livestream of both Seoul shows last month, and it's crazy to think how Jeonghan did both shows with his arm in a cast and sling. I mean, it looked rough enough before, but trying to do it while recovering from surgery is just mind blowing. And even on their recent music show performances just last week for _World, S.Coups was recovering from having his wisdom teeth out, lol.

Yay HTR is here! I can't tell you how many times I've rewatched this series. I credit HTR with making me fully a carat and getting them to ult status so fast.

Oh my, I watch them in the Jakarta one, and that one really heartbreaking because Scoups and Jeonghan last concert (and later Jeonghan joining it again gladly) and the next thing is pandemic. i went to the san jose stop after an intense 12 hour nursing clinical. Totally worth it. They're really what kept me going throughout 2020. I remember watching this series and telling myself that if they can do a world tour with all of this going on, I can survive nursing school (and an ongoing pandemic jdjsn). I just,,, adore them

The An Ode promotions were very hard on their bodies and them immediately going on tour right after didn't help. I think their bodies were just tired by that point and too weak to fight off any viruses they caught leading to a string of members getting sick. They've spaced out the shows a lot more for Be The Sun, with more days of rest in between, and they've all been diligently working out to build up their stamina and health so I don't think it's gonna be as bad this tour. Still, there will probably be difficult moments that we aren't aware of because a tour is always an exhausting endeavor, but the message they wanted to portrah through Hit The Road is that they love being on stage so much that the hardships are worth it to them.
Caitlin! Long comment ahead So glad you started the series so soon! I was honestly thinking it'll be a few weeks or so later! Oh and Hoshi usually has a ritual during his introduction, when he asked what time is it, carats will answer yeol-si sib-bun (meaning 10 o'clock.. since his eyes looks like the hands of a clock at that time) and before this carats were chanting wangjanim which means prince (idk how that started lol). But idk how he does it nowadays, I'm just saying this to give you a heads up as a new carat. A tip: just do whatever Hoshi wants... it's not hard to make him happy lol 😆 and we love him anyway

Watching their process of making music , preparing for concerts, and even the technical aspects and difficulties behind the "magic" of Seventeen was a roller coaster of emotions the first time I watched this. Watching this again with you makes me appreciate them even more than I already do.

Oh my, I watch them in the Jakarta one, and that one really heartbreaking because Scoups and Jeonghan last concert (and later Jeonghan joining it again gladly) and the next thing is pandemic. I still crying watch scoups episode here, the tears just falling down automatically 🥲 but glad everything okay now and wish they all in good condition for this year tour. i went to the san jose stop after an intense 12 hour nursing clinical. Totally worth it. They're really what kept me going throughout 2020. I remember watching this series and telling myself that if they can do a world tour with all of this going on, I can survive nursing school (and an ongoing pandemic jdjsn). I just,,, adore them

The An Ode promotions were very hard on their bodies and them immediately going on tour right after didn't help. I think their bodies were just tired by that point and too weak to fight off any viruses they caught leading to a string of members getting sick.
They've spaced out the shows a lot more for Be The Sun, with more days of rest in between, and they've all been diligently working out to build up their stamina and health so I don't think it's gonna be as bad this tour. Still, there will probably be difficult moments that we aren't aware of because a tour is always an exhausting endeavor, but the message they wanted to portrah through Hit The Road is that they love being on stage so much that the hardships are worth it to them.

So glad you started the series so soon! I was honestly thinking it'll be a few weeks or so later! Oh and Hoshi usually has a ritual during his introduction, when he asked what time is it, carats will answer yeol-si sib-bun (meaning 10 o'clock.. since his eyes looks like the hands of a clock at that time) and before this carats were chanting wangjanim which means prince (idk how that started lol). But idk how he does it nowadays, I'm just saying this to give you a heads up as a new carat.
A tip: just do whatever Hoshi wants... it's not hard to make him happy lol 😆 and we love him anyway
