They got the timing WAY off on the ending here, and it was one of the best episodes to hear how they arranged the theme for when this ever happened. This is me hoping someone has a clear cut of the ending credit roll here. They took about a minute or so to get to the product plugs, which didn't usually happen (and did it seem like Rod Roddy have some issues with the reads?). They already looped the theme to the second half of the opening theme (which doesn't usually get heard if this doesn't happen), but then that played too long and then the theme faded back to the first half of the closing theme, which almost NEVER happened outside of a few episodes. Would love for someone with more time than I do to find the amount of episodes in which this occurred and which episodes did the theme loop happen.
@Geek Gaming Culture, Seems like the product plugs were pre-recorded during the 1986 episodes which made him sound alot slower. During the 1983 through the summer of 1985 episodes, he was actually "live" telling the plugs. And he went way faster. I definitely understand what your saying with the ending. We both know that anytime they show the studio effects after Peter's send off, that's usually an indication of a long closing. I will look for the other episode I remember from 1984 from which they had to loop the music because of the long extended ending. I have to find my vhs tapes from my Elementary school years that I recorded on The USA Network and The original run on CBS. This has to be a Top 3 extended closing for PYL.
