I bought their P12 fans a couple years ago but never ran into any resonating noise though I've watched video reviews on Amazon of that issue and they were audible so it has happened to some people. In my experience, having had both a Noctua premium A12x25 fan and Noctua Redux fans, the Artic P12's were no louder and cooled about as well though Noctua's fans had a higher quality build but for up to triple the price (Redux fans were ~$15 and the premium fan was $30, Arctic P12's have been as cheap as $5 or $6 on sale but typically are $7-$9 depending on features like PWM, PST, CO ect.).

Artic has been a good AIO for a while now. I've used it in a few builds and the thickness of the rads and the price is hard to beat. Supposedly the small fan on the pump also helps circulate air around the power stages which is supposed to help overall performance and longevity as well. One other AIO I like too is the Lian LI Gallahad. Like the Artic it has a slightly thicker rad when compared to other AIO offerings which I think helps the performance of the AIO. The Lian Li is not as thick as the Artic, but they have options to purchase the AIO with their unifans for those who want to spend a little more for the fans for consistency in our builds since you can deck out your entire build with the unifans more easily than the artic build. Keep up the great work.

I choose it because it was a top performer at 360mm and the 420mm just ups the ante on cooling. They also build their own rather than simply branding something made by someone else. I did replace the fans with what I considered better fans and run the fans separately off the motherboard rather than coupling them with the included splitter cable.

Seriously, you actually believe that push/pull fan setup is doing anything beneficial? Gamer’s Nexus, Linus, Derbauer (I think) and several others have ALL confirmed on several different brands and rad sizes that all push/pull fan setups are an absolute complete waste of time, money and noise. Even on a triple fan rad, whether 360mm or 420mm, the very best improvement from adding the additional 3 extra fans and all the extra noise is generally in the vicinity of 1-2degrees lower temps. The most I’ve seen on any review site was a 4.6degree improvement but the noise is at least doubled, or even louder if using 2000+ rpm fans.
Don’t forget about the shitloads of additional dust and crap that the extra 3 fans are now pulling into your case and covering every component in an even thicker layer of crud. There just aren’t any real, tangible benefits that actually make push/pull a worthwhile option in ANY rad setup.

Part of the reason as why Arctic Liquid Freezer II is that good even till now on the Zen4 or intel Gen13th platform. (highend processor) are due to these factors.
    1) They have the offset bracket which aligns properly with the Zen4 processor, as the processor Dies are not centered. with the offset bracket the coldplate fin stack inside the pump aligns dead center on the processor IHS (the dies area). As for intel, it's just dead centered.
    2) It has the advanatge of having a 38mm thick radiator which has bigger surface area to absorb more heat off the IHS of the processor, therefore you dont need to run fans at high rpms, be it the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240, 360, 280 and 420, infact best are the 280s and 420s. Thats why at lower rpm, it can get the job done. Of course if you want to ram up the RPM of those P12 or P14 fans, it's even better.
    3) If you are not aware of, the reversion of this product which are after Rev 3, Arctic have done a wider fin stack and taller fin stack in the coldpate.
Byran, i have sent you an email of my findings which you might be interested as I have done an in-depth series of how this LF2 is being engineered.

After 5 hours the 13900k fully heatsoaks my Arctic II 420 and it'll throttle from that point onward at 100°c
Quite impressive that it lasts that long, but if your renders/projects go on longer than that, you're going to want to seriously consider a dual rad custom loop to delay full heatsoak for as long as possible

I can vouch for the P14 RGB/aRGB fan which is an improvement on the already very good plain version - the circumferential band around the fan stops the noise the latter suffers at particular RPM by bracing the long blades. I have a couple and they are the quietest 14cm fans I've used by some margin (including the NF-whatever on the Noctua NH-D15S and the Be Quiet! Silent Wings, both of which are well over twice the price).

The hassle of repasting every 3-6 month is not worth the 1-2° Celsius that the MX 5 performs better than the MX 4. As soon as the pump out effect starts to hit it will perform worse than the MX 4 anyways.

Running a 12900k OC'd to 5.4 with this cooler using Noctua NF-A14 industrial PPC fans in a big Thermaltake case front mounted. I have a 8 drive raid array behind it, 4 nvmes, and and Intel ARC A770 I use for video editing and transcoading in Linux. All this on a Z690 Maximus Extreme. Using AI optimized OC ai can't get above 265 watts and 78C. Maxing out a stable OC I can pull close to 350 watts and only then can I get this AIO to thermal throttle. I just installed ThermalGrizzly contact frame and Kryonaut and temps went up a touch indicating I need to do a remount (those contact frames are touchy.
Daily drive using Asus AI optimized OC and its a joy, CPU barely above ambient doing basic tasks. Full transcode will rev up the fans a bit.
This week I'm changing out my raid array to sata ssds in a custom rack and will go push pull on the rad mainly to help cool my raid card and pch temps
With the old raid stack right behind the rad I had very little flow around the lower motherboard components. This rad is so thick you almost need push pull if you want any in case airflow from the rad.
Many many times Ive thought of a custom loop but thats a lot of money and hassle for maybe 100mhz more. Plus I don't plan on an upgrade until at least 15th gen. I would say this AIO is on par with most custom loops Ive seen until you get into 40mm rads and larger pumps. Corsair? Never heard of her... Well I did, couldn't keep my rig cool at 360 at all. With the artic my bios is rating my cooler over 190 points.

Swapped out the stock fans with the same ones. Custom loops are more expensive (especially when people want a specific color match with rgb tubning coolant etc) but if you are like me and care mostly about preformance vs aesthetica( fuck rgb) the pump, Waterblock (ek makes excellent ones) radiator (although I prefer chiller personally just because even better cooling) and coolant are not only better quality ( pumps block radiators everything) idk why you think custom loop cooling is the same as aio maybe someone put together a loop incorrectly or used cheep parts but it's 10-20 degrees better at least than even this aio which imp is the best aio on the market (non rgb version if you wanna save money and don't care about stupid lighting that's a hindrance I'm speaking from an overclocking perspective)and thats not even accounting for things you can do like direct die cooling or instead of the better quality radiators using a chiller anyway a custom loop will last you years and years pumps are industrial grade and won't shit out eventually like an aios and the coolant will be topped off if need be and whenthe loops needs cleaned eventually etc they're not hard to maintain at all and are definitely worth it that being said this aio is the one to buy if you can't afford or don't want to build your own

I got the extreme almost by accident. I had one of the bad Hero boards with the flipped capacitor. My retailer didn't have anymore good Hero boards in stock so he cut $200 off the Extreme to get me to buy it and I did.
I still may do a loop but the reality is I could probably get the same performance increase by just going from a 12900k to a 13900k. My chip has an SP of 89 and the bios says it will do 5.5. It does 5.4 fine with this AIO. How would a 12900k at 5.5 with a loop compare to a 13900k with a custom OC?
Ive run a custom OC. I actually have one saved that I like at 5.4 all core. But its too noisy for daily work. So I just save it as a profile and run Asus base AI OC most of the time.

Same rad in the vid non rgb it definitely could clock higher but its hindered by the mother board and I did tell him to get a 690 unify x or tachyon they would go on sale last gen all the time for 350-400 bucks. And yeah if it's for work this aio is plenty

In my opinion this AIO has two best use cases. One is for people running a small OC who want a near silent system. The other is people who could use a custom loop but aren't inclined to build one. I fall into that latter category. A loop would be nice but I'm not leaving enough performance on the table to bother building one. My next PC will probably be a 15th gen, maybe at that point I'll build a loop and pass the guts of this PC onto my kids for gaming.

The Artic silent series of fans are great. Lots of airflow at very low rpm. I've used their single rpm silent fans several times on OEM prebuilts which don't have any extra fan headers. Just connect to whatever is handy for 12v and slap one or two in there wherever there's room. Fixes the typical OEM prebuilt terribly airflow problem but doesn't add noise. Those weird HP Pavilions with the perforated side panels being a common one for me to buy cheap and do this to. And they are considerably cheaper than similar options from BeQuiet or others. Prices have gone up recently but they are still less costly and come in 80/90/120/140.
